Can anyone make a valid reason to have this in a game all about realism and tactics similar to games like Arma, Squad, etc? I mean look at Call of Duty Modern Warfare. That game seems to be what more people want besides this.

Edit: Sorry for implying for this game to be a milsim lol didnt really mean it like that. I would much have this game dive deeper into the survival aspect like km dayZ without the need of an rpg or looter shooter system.

There was a Developer Q&A article that went live yesterday about RPG elements in Breakpoint. You can see the Dev responses here.

There is a way your team could make this at least a little bit better: let us choose to level or re-roll properties (increase rarity) on items we already have rather than force us to abandon US Army gear for other stuff simply because it has better stats. I can't believe I'm talking about a Ghost Recon game when I write that, but here we are. In any case, that would at least help those of us who want to pretend this is still a game about US Army Special Forces.

If I want to play as a US Army special forces operator, with an M4 or MK18, Multicam/Army OCP camo, and all the appropriate body armor and helmets that go along with that look, I shouldn't feel like I'm handicapping myself for not picking up a Chinese or Russian rifle simply because it has purple rarity. Please don't punish the fanbase of the Ghost Recon fiction like that.

You will not be handicapped if you use a weapon you want to use, but have another that is a higher level. Additionally, you can wear any gear you want. For instance if you have a Beret level 11 but want to wear the Nomad cap. You equip the Beret level 11 in your loadout and then you can customize your character to have the Nomad cap appear. You can make your character look however you want, and use whatever weapon you want as long as it's in your inventory. Weapon blueprints will give you the weapon forever, and buying the weapon from the shop are also other ways to obtain it.
