Firstly, I’m quite excited about the new features and improved format in GRB PvP.

However, the two primary weapons for all classes in PvP is likely to have a negative effect on how the game is played. In IGNs footage from Gamescom you can see a player with a Stoner LMG and a Vector with a 50 round drum mag. In terms of «choice» this is all and well.

On the other hand, from a player perspective, one with over 2000 hours played on Wildlands PvP (casual and competetive), I know that this will create a significant skillgap between the casual players and the hardcore competetive players. Much like Wildlands PvP died because those who had a 4-man squad, and understood the metas at the time would end each match so quickly that new players were severely challenged in terms of learning the flow. Causing most new players to steer away from it and go back to PvE. Breakpoints PvP will be even worse for newcomers and casual players, as the hardcore playerbase from Wildlands will transfer over with all the knowledge aquired from Wildlands.

Personally I prefer to play PvP, and I hope the playerbase for Breakpoint PvP will be significantly larger than that of Wildlands. But the lack of PvP at launch was not the biggest factor in why PvP never took off. The fact that new players were «forced» out by a huge skillgap was.

Thank you for bringing up these thoughts and concerns. So you would personally prefer to see one primary per class with lets say pistols as secondaries?

For me it kind of destroys giving each member of the squad a purpose, a marksman, LMG support player, assault player and so on, now most people just run a sniper rifle and an automatic weapon making each player a one man army at all ranges, losing the need for teamwork and tactics.

I understand what you mean. Appreciate the feedback!
