Okay, I've got an update for you on this!
The original plan was that only the full map meta--Into the Spider's Lair--would count toward progression for Inner Nayos. However, we've been discussing your feedback and beginning with the June 4 game update, The Road to Heitor and The Fangs That Gnash will also give progress.
