Ridiculously amazing! Just finished it on scale 88 with my guild for the greatsword skin. The last boss seems difficult at first, but once you learn the mechanics it's not too bad.
Anyway, for anyone wondering, this is what we've found out about the last boss:
Note: This is only for Master scale (or maybe even just 88). There are less mechanics on lower scales.
- The boss will fixate on someone randomly as far as we can tell. You will get a crosshair icon above your character indicating you are fixated.
- The squares on the floor activate in patterns, similar to Aetherblade fractal, and will do pretty decent damage and give you Confusion stacks.
- The boss starts with an immune shield, and periodically regains it throughout the fight. You must drag him through the activated floor tiles to remove the shield.
- Every 3rd consecutive swing of his auto-attack dazes you for 2-3 seconds
- The floor patterns will change periodically. The Mysterious Asura will call it out for you.
- Around 75%-ish he starts dropping the pillar/hammer things from above. Same mechanic as in Molten Furnace fractal.
- Near 52%-ish he will put a large circle on the ground, pulling everyone to him after a couple seconds. After the pull, you're stunned temporarily and he cleaves pretty fast and may kill you.
- When the boss first starts casting the pull, his defiance (break) bar becomes active. It's not terribly hard to break his defiance bar, as a Revenant, Staff 5 did about 90% of it.
- Periodically, JT-12's will spawn in groups of two. These should be focused, as they can shoot lightning balls/bombs that'll knock you around.
Interesting note, there seem to be no Fractal Avengers in this one. However, it does seem that the last boss really hates downed players.
tl;dr Thanks ANet, I haven't had a challenge this fun in awhile :)
