The Guild Wars 2 wiki is an amazing resource with a ton of helpful information. In a game that is frequently growing and changing, there's always something that needs updating. If you're a new player, check it out for information on skills, achievements, fashion needs, and other important business.

And if you'd like to help out the Guild Wars 2 wiki for a few extra gold, I run a wiki improvement project.

Check out "On Wiki of Gold", where two articles are selected each day for improvement. One article in the pair has information missing or could use general improvement, and the other article doesn't exist at all! Make an edit that contributes to either of the two selected pages. Then enter your name on the On Wiki of Gold page, and I'll send a couple of gold your way. This works for all account types, including Play for Free accounts.

Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you've previously made zero edits or 100,000 edits. Try to copy the style of other articles. This list of formatting guides is also helpful. If you're just starting out and you mess up really badly, I have the pages on my watchlist and will be able to fix or undo mistakes using the page's history, so don't let fear hold you back.

Feel free to comment here on what other articles you think should be focused for improvement in future weeks. Which do you think is the weakest article on the wiki? Which do you think is the best?

I have so much appreciation for you for doing this to get more people comfortable with updating the wiki.

This has been a common theme of discussions around this project. As the Wiki liaison at ArenaNet, I wanted to jump in here to emphasize that this is a good place to discuss this. A few players commented in the past that other editors would undo their edits, and I would then ask them to give me details so that we can discuss what exactly happened so they better understand the system.

The motto of the wiki community is "Be bold in improving articles!", as listed in the Help center and it's never been more relevant than when in conjunction with the On Wiki of Gold project. Wiki editors help each other every day, the more experienced editors spend a lot of time doing the more technical work so that other don't have to, and they also do help these people understand better how the wiki works.

Note that the same project exists for the German, French and Spanish Guild Wars 2 wikis, thanks to /u/Delsea pioneering work :)

But then again 1: i guess the population isnt quite on par

And 2: Unlike Spain France and Germany, we speak an avarage of (correct me if wrong) 2.4 languages Per Person, most of the time the 2 would be dutch/english and the .4 something magical like fae, you know, drugs language

Nothing stops you from creating one (or 2.4?). But I'm afraid we would not give them official support in the form of hosting (and maintaining) the site.
