I think it deserves more appreciation than anything else. Truly helps me get started and learn more about the game. Had never come across something in-game that wasn't already written in the wiki.

The only problem I have as a longterm player that there is just too much stuff that the game doesn't tell you that you absolutely have to look up. Parts of the game are reliant on the wiki. Mystic forge receipes that are required to progress on specific goals is just a small example. Many collections and other quest goals are also not explained and resolvable by the game alone.I bet I am not even the only one thinking that. You must have had that discussion internally before too. Why do I know that as a player? Because of the tutorial quests update and the new leveling experience update with the reward popups that explain you something new which wasn't an option. The game needed it. It was a good step in the right direction but there is still so many areas in the game where the player has to look it up on third party sites because the game explains so little so often.

I think it is because the achievement system was never supposed to transform into the quest system that it is now used as and the game not explaining much in old *ehem* "achievements" is because achievement aren't supposed to be explained? "You win something by doing something random in other games." It may just have been that the designers of some of the older achievements had that wrong image in their mind as to what an achievement really is supposed to be like and what a quest is supposed to be like and how the player will play these out. Regardless of what it was I hope we see more improvements regarding tutorials and guidance in the game so it becomes more independent from third-party resources.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I hear ya.
