That’s really all, i’m sure you guys get these posts all the time but I am a brand new player who dove in pretty much blind on a whim about 4 days ago and have not been able to put the game down since. I am a WoW player of a very long time but never played really any other MMO other than ESO.

I had always heard of GW2 but never tried it because it looked too goofy when I googled it but that is absolutely not the case. I also wish someone would’ve told me how many different builds you can make and how they all play different and how different weapons give you different skills?!? So awesome, I love this game and I legit haven’t been this excited about a game in a long time.

Edit: Also I haven’t even done anything exciting quest and 1 PvP match so far, both of which are amazing. Being able to hop right into PvP on an even playing field is unreal. I’m trying not to spoil myself and waiting to see what other activities are in game that the game directs me to.

Fun story: before I joined the company, I had some friends who worked there, and they invited me to come playtest. I was running around Queensdale, trashing bozos and saving villages, and generally having a grand old time. (Get rekt, centaurs.) Colin, of all people, was watching over my shoulder, looking for pain points and unexpected play patterns and the like -- typical usability testing stuff. At one point, he stopped me and apologized: "Sorry about the music. We can kill the sound if you'd prefer." I hadn't even noticed that the audio was bugged, and that the "Saga of the Norn" track had been looping the entire playthrough. "Hell no," I told him. "I feel so...epic."

A decade and change later, I still love the music. : )
