You get 15s for a loss in ranked/unranked as well. So there shouldn't be any additional motivation to bot tournaments than there is already is.
As a Swiss, I was hella confused about this post on first sight.
A long while ago, we did have some player very angry wondering why we were working so hard to give special tournaments to Swiss folk. ;)
A bit i seem to miss everywhere, or I don't get it, in the swiss style part of the tournament, howmany matches do you play? 2, 3, against all teams? As would think for people that now play tournaments for the round of 16 5g, won't be bothered to play if it's many fights you need to do.
It varies depending on the number of people who sign up. If 32 teams sign up, there should be 5 swiss rounds and 3 elimination rounds. So you'd have 8 matches in that case.
You don't necessarily play all teams in the swiss rounds.
I think queuing with a team of bots would make it easier, and from what i understand, you can even queue with swiss as much times you want? And the opposite team would be much less likely to report you for botting too since they are getting a free win and wouldn't notice as much. Also isn't there a limit on gold for unranked/ranked? Last i read about it was 15g daily
Mind you, i'm just trying to remember you folks what happened to gw1 where the only people left doing these sort of tourneys were bot themselves ;3
The much more visible nature of the AT's seems to result in more reports and they seem to be much easier to catch. We've dishonored several teams for tournament botting in the past and will continue to do so.
Though, it's been a while since I was directly told of people botting in tournaments, so it seems it's not very frequent.

It's not that it was impossible. It was just not something we were able to get in. I still hope we can add it some day, but currently it's not on the schedule to get back to.
