Today I noticed a difference in the way Ascended (or any other rarity, other than Legendary) show their effects as opposed to the Legendary Armor piece its self, at least the gloves. When a piece of armor is transmuted to be the Legendary Skin, the stow effect, doesn't complete all the way, where it does with the actual Legendary piece.

I link two pictures below, one of an Elementalist (1) with Ascended Armor transmuted into Legendary Skins, and the other a Mesmer (2) with the actual piece of legendary gear.

In both pictures the weapon has been stowed for at least 10 seconds, as well as hiding or removing and then putting it back on or unhiding the piece of armor doesn't change the end result of the gloves.

I will admit, I do like some of armor pieces drawn effects much better than stowed, but I do feel like it still is a bug and should be fixed for the people who like the stowed effects more, but can't afford to make multiple sets of legendary light armor.

I'm really interested where the bug lies, if its in the way Transmutation functions, or if its just the way the stow/draw effects work. If you have any insight, I would love to hear it. I also only looked at light armor, if anyone wants to look at medium or heavy.

TLDR: Legendary Armor works differently than just skins transmuted to look like it.

I wonder if /u/anet_PeterL can confirm that the dev-team knows about this

Thanks for pinging me! We were not aware of this until now. It appears that this is affecting human female characters who have neither the legendary boots nor chest equipped. I double-checked all other race/gender combinations and they all look good.

Hey PeterL, thanks for the fast reply!

I also discovered, the Pants are bugged, too. (same bug, also light, female human). I linked a youtube video i did with the bug, if it helps you. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=420HEmYSSVY

I think this is a result of the alpha channels not being applied to any armor piece while the bug is active, because I am only seeing the issue with the legs when the gloves are also equipped. The gloves are somehow messing up the alpha channel for everything.

So I think the source of the problem is still the gloves. Just to be sure though I've updated the bug with this additional information and will be sure to test that the pants are also fixed when the bug is sent back to me.

Thanks again!
