I'm not sure how the Steam-lists works - if they're global or personalized -, but I saw GW2 listed as a popular coming release and was hyped! Overall I think the community is stepping up magnificent to this big day and the recent communications/balance patches from the devs makes me extremely positive about this game's future.

It got boosted into Popular Upcoming, because it had major wishilist number in recent history, and the release date is very close.
Just wanted to note that 'follows' are different than wishlists. Wishlist #'s don't seem to be public.
Absolutely correct, but I would assume it's directly or almost directly correlated numbers; following the title is pretty much super-wishlist, with it's news appearing on community home page and whatnot. Follower/wishlist numbers could also totally be skewed towards games with release dates setup for the longer period before the release, because thanks to that they appear in Discover Queues.
I have can see both numbers, but I'm pretty sure that someone somewhere would give me flak for sharing data that isn't public. What I can say is that 'followers' are a fraction of the number of wishlists.
