[2020] Why are we allowing Evon Gnashblade to have a monopoly on the trading post?

With some of the fees getting to ridiculous proportions I would say there is demand for a cheaper trading post. The question is, why is no one willing to supply?
Does Evon blackmail people that attempt it? Does he have some kind of deal with the heroes of Tyria that they're not allowed to use anyone elses trading post? Or is setting up a trading post that can actually compete with the Black Lion Trading Company so expensive that people don't even attempt it?
I know setting up a competitor in the game would be asking to much of the devs and it would also be useless to a point (except for cheaper fees).
Maybe we could boycott the Black Lion Trading Company?

To wrap it up, I really love that our Trading Post has background, lore and physical representation in the world of Tyria. I was just wanted to put this idea on the table and see what you guys think.
