Don't get me wrong - I actually think it's a really interesting mechanic.

It's a creative instability that changes up the way you have to play, and that's great.

That being said, fractals are ALREADY hard on melee professions (Social Awkwardness, getting 1 shot by everything, etc) - so I'm not sure why the trails are scaled to be so deadly that Melee is even MORE precarious.

To top it off, the trails apply long duration condi's that Necro's can then transfer back to mobs for even more damage.

As if Fractals didn't favor reapers enough already (Even after the toughness re-scaling)

You can definitely still melee with the instability - but it is WAY more dangerous.

I love new mechanics, and this one is actually really fun to deal with on ranged classes, but it's clear that it has a VERY disparate impact depending on your profession.
