They are only showing the Pact Commander Mastery on this livestream. Others are unfinished and not shown

BWE

  • Character progression is not wiped so you can still work on your masteries in beta weekend 2 etc

Mastery Points

  • Each of the story instances in Living World Season 2 will grant you 1 Mastery point each retroactively. This is to give a legs up for the experienced players.

Pact Commander Mastery

  • Pact Mentor – Unlocks a special mentoring badge (purple star shown in PoI is a placeholder see this comment), accessible from the party menu. You will also display a new chat title (shows mentor next to your name in chat) when this is active. In cities, you and your party gain 5% swiftness (does not stack with regular swiftness). You can turn the mentoring mode on/off in the party menu. Does not work in WvW and does not allow you to create squads.

  • Productive Downtime – Gain bonus crafting XP, raising your crafting skills more quickly for each item crafted.

  • Supply Line Management – Gain access to a network of regional merchants across Tyria with rare goods for trade (old or rare recipes for example, also new recipes such as the recipe for a new Melandru backpack. Recipes will be tradeable). The merchant will use Karma as its currency. Your city-wide swiftness boost raises to 15%.

  • Noblesse Oblige – Increased revive speed depending on the level difference of the player you are reviving. This also takes away a stack of downed penalty and armor damage.

  • Advanced Logistics – You will automatically pick up nearby loot from fallen foes (this is different from auto-loot. You do not need to hit any buttons to loot with this active). This feature works even if you are dead as long you tag the enemy and does not work for chests/gadgets. Your City-wide swiftness boost raises to 33%.

I can clarify this a bit. If you waypoint away before something dies and it dropped loot, you won't immediately get it. If you return to the area, you will get the loot as soon as you can see it. It will basically pick up all loot you can see. The exception is WvW, since loot bags always spawns at your feet. If you waypoint, the loot will spawn at your location and should get immediately picked up. If your inventory is full when something drops, it will be left on the ground and you will have to pick it up manually after you clear out some space.

Q&A

  • Is there a way to prevent abuse of the mentoring system? (i.e. trolling, trying to get attention etc)

    • We have great players already ingame, a few bad players shouldn’t ruin the system. Since there is no reward associated with this, we are not encouraging any bad behavior.
  • Why is advanced logistics not available by default to all players?

    • To combat botting, we put it in a mastery line.

They said you get loot if you die, didn't mention about wping away though.

Edit: Unrelated note while I'm here, that purple star is placeholder (I reused the living story quest marker while I wait for the art request). It should have its own icon at some point.
