Lately I have been feeling a bit burned out, the recent Icebrood Saga Episodes have been a let down, the content not really riveting, the game started feeling like a chore, rather than an a fun adventure.

So I decided to revisit some maps I haven't spent too much time on, take it slow and just stroll around, exploring what there is to see and do.

And I have to say... Grothmar Valley is absolutely wonderful!

It encapsulates many thing I liked a lot about different maps, it has the beauty of a new map, very fun and diverse events and immersive, detail rich environments with plenty of npc fun dialogue and stuff to discover!

Yesterday I ran into a village made up of farmers and other workers I had not seen before, hearing a Charr and a Norn talk about each other's history.

Finding the Ash legion hideout and doing detective work was also something that caught me off guard, for a map that I previously saw as minor, it has so much fun packed into it, the Charr buggy battles, metal concert, helping Chef Mellitus cook.. there is so much!

I really hope that EoD will bring similar amounts of fun and beauty to it's maps, cheers!

Grothmar Valley is also one of my favorite maps! The team that worked on it really nailed it.

Even within the golden path of End of Dragons, we try to inject as many small details as we can. There's a lot of fun side moments for players that like to take in the world and story or go achievement hunting.

One day we'll get to talk about it, but for now I do appreciate reading that you enjoy the little details in the game.
