First of all, I think this change was needed and is amazing. Seeing PvP streamers getting 500+ Viewers since the season started makes me extremely happy and this is definitely in the right direction. Now for some points I think could do for some change.
1. Badge(r) Badge(r) Badge(r)
The badges do look nice in its original size, maybe a bit dull, but they do look nice and detailed. However, details and so on won't transition well to the little icons that you get. They just look plain bad in their tiny icon size.
I think they would work a lot better if they were represented in colors like the previous season to easily differ between the different seasons or finding another solution for it.
2. Soft Reset too soft
What I mean with this, is that you shouldn't be able to get right to legendary no matter how high you were in rating the previous season. I just find it to be bit weird that you just need to play 10 placement matches and you could instantly be in Legendary division just like that.
Should have a barrier that only allows you to a certain point. A more balanced rating would be that you can max get to Platinum 1. So if you're a super top player with really high rating and do well on your placement matches, you will max get to Platinum 1 and balance it around there. Naturally this means that lower rated players will get placed lower in divisions as well.
Good players will climb to their designated spot and people won't be able to get instant 2000+ rating and just be able to camp there by just playing the necessary match to avoid the decay.
3. Duo queue a bit too forgiving
In my honest opinion here, I think a solo queue player should get more rating / lose less rating in general. I just don't think duo queue is as strict as it should be right now based on the advantages it provides.
As a duo queue you can play classes to compliment each others' weaknesses, along as functioning as an extra eye around the map and being able to use voice communication. It's like playing 5 hand poker and always starting with two strong cards in your hand. You simply "eliminate" a weak card in your hand for free.
This is based from watching top players stream for several hours where some of them face each other pretty often. And noticed that some top players that solo queue would lose / gain practically the same rating as certain people they faced that duo and win / lose their match.
