Hello Spartans! I need your help with a little problem of mine:
I bought a Halo 3 jacket online back in February, supposedly given to developers at Bungie by Microsoft for the game's release. However, being the very intelligent person that I am, I bought it without verifying its authenticity.... The seller indicated after the purchase that they have no proof of authenticity except the word of British collectors who sold it to them. They suggested I contact a member of the Bungie team to obtain confirmation, a photo, or any other evidence. So, I started searching the web for information... and found nothing. Literally nothing! No articles, no photos, no counterfeits, no similar jackets... Nothing... As if this jacket doesn't exist even labeled as an official xbox 360 merch. Google Lens can't find it either.
I managed to get in touch with Rob Stokes, lead designer and writer on Halo 2 and 3, and unfortunately, he told me he left Bungie before the end of Halo 3's development, so even if these jackets were actually distributed, he wouldn't have received one. He then asked a contact who was still at Bungie at that time, but they have no recollection of jackets given by Microsoft. Rob Stokes then mentioned that these jackets may have been made by Microsoft but were never distributed to the teams, and suggested I contact Bungie or Microsoft to dig deeper.
I tried reaching out to Bungie, who asked me to send photos of the jacket to show the team and see if anyone remembers it, but after sending the photos, I haven't heard back and my follow-ups are being ignored... As for Microsoft, I can't seem to contact anyone who can really provide me with information; I only reach customer service representatives who are unable to give me more information as it's not their area of expertise...
What should I do? Any tips, advices or informations ?
