*title should say adjust instead of assist

I saw a comment on yesterday's game update thread saying the change in FOV no longer works on new consoles when playing on 120 fps. Previously, you were able to adjust your FOV in the video settings while playing 60fps, and this change would persist when changing your refresh rate to 120hz.

With yesterday's update, this capability was removed. Now when playing at 120fps, your framerate reverts back to the game default. Why would this ever have been changed this way, when the game worked perfectly fine in these consoles that way?

I've played 120fps at an adjusted fov for a month now, only to no longer be able to do so. How could this make sense? u/343_farn any input?

u/unyshek was this an intentional change?

Thanks for the tag! I believe that this was not meant to be an option in the first place, so I believe it would've been an intentional change. I can check on it just to be sure though!

thanks for the reply! i know plenty of people would be interested to see it put back in place soon since it seemed to work great on those consoles even if it wasn't supposed to happen that way

You bet. It was an intentional change and we've updated our patch notes to call it out now. Thanks for pointing that out!

I, just like all of you, would love for it to come back as a fully supported featured once we can work on it some more :)
