I have just finished my first game and finished three missions and the daily first and received no XP towards my battle pass or my career rank... anyone else get this problem?

i suspect this is possibly related to the other issue...
are you able to try a different network source? ie connecting to your phone's hotspot to see if stuff loads?
otherwise, would definitely include that in your ticket to support.
