The update feels amazing. I've been playing since launch and doing pretty well but close-range was a nightmare. Now I feel like I can win fights within my skill level at all ranges and actually play the game.

I understand that there might be issues with this patch such as mouse also having adhesion (rotational) AA but in my opinion, that does very little and seems to be absent if you actually move your cursor. The largest impact by far has been the added friction and maybe some extra bullet mag. Before it was basically impossible to stay on target up close against an opponent with a decent strafe because you simply could not micro-adjust properly to do so. Even if you could keep up, most of the time a few bullets would go wide during a BR burst and lose you the fight regardless.

I feel like the community is blowing up over a knee-jerk reaction which people like XLR8 really didn't help. None of the top MnK streamers have become unstoppable gods and more casual players like myself aren't suddenly making a joke of every controller player at our skill levels. Trust me, it still takes a lot of focus to stay on target and be effective. I still get slapped in 50% of fights. The idea that MnK has auto-aim now is laughable. What's really happened is that we can actually compete without having to massively adjust our gameplay to compensate for a neglected input.

Regardless of what was intentional or not, this update feels really good and I think a lot of MnK players (I see all 4 of you) agree. I hope 343 takes the time to let the data build up and then analyze it properly to determine if things went too far. If they revert it entirely, most of the PC community is never coming back. Seriously guys. Tune out the loud idiots and let statistics talk.

TL;DR: The update made MnK viable. It does not appear to be overpowered and the community is overreacting. Let's build some data and let the statistics talk before doing anything drastic and potentially ruining this win.

Please know that we are monitoring this conversation very closely. It's a delicate situation and we want to make informed decisions.

Given the amount of positive feedback around these changes - which has been very interesting to read up on - we will likely leave it in for a bit and continue to monitor player feedback and our backend data. We'd want to make sure everyone's had enough time with it before we start jumping in and making changes.

It's also worth acknowledging that we've seen some players would like to be able to turn off these changes and roll with raw mouse input. We're talking about the possibility of turning that into a player-facing option in the future as well.

As you get more time in with the change, please be sure to let us know how it's feeling to you. Specificity around the weapons, ranges, and context around the engagements is always super helpful (BR is too easy at long range, AR is too hard at close range, mid-range felt just right with the Commando, etc.)

TL;DR: We're monitoring. No knee-jerk changes. Keep the feedback coming!
