Those were indeed good ole days. It was often chaos but, in a fun, and mostly wholesome way. I remember when we added the Flood to just give folks an official off-topic space to try and keep the main forums on topic. Eventually the Flood just became the wild west. Incredible to think we essentially had an entire social platform within Bnet where folks could create groups, have their own forums, their own news feed, etc. Big shout out to the Bungie Webmaster and our army of volunteer moderators that helped keep it all going. Nowadays it would be somewhat of a liability and compliance nightmare and would certainly take significantly more resources to operate.

I spent more time in HBO than I did bungie.net, but I still appreciate how good b.net was, and I feel like forums nowadays don’t have the same feel that they did back in the day, though that’s probably just nostalgia talking.

Anyways cheers Brian.
