Hello reddit!

My name is Lewis.

I have been a long time lurker of this sub for one main reason - my unyielding love of Halo!

I joined reddit because of Destiny and make the occasional post or comment over there but my purest gaming love is and will always be Halo.

Just like many different things in life, gaming offers up a form of ‘escapism’.

I struggled immensely throughout my childhood with my emotions. I struggled with friendships. I struggled with relationships. I struggled with a decaying sense of loneliness and isolation, but the truth is, it was game franchises such as Halo, that helped to get me through.

On top of this, Halo helped me to prevent a suicide last year and I could not be more grateful.

I am grateful to everyone who has ever worked on or has been involved with Halo. I am grateful to the hardcore community for keeping the franchise alive through the tougher years.

All that being said, I recorded the reaction in a video and posted it on my YouTube channel!

I did tweet at many of the creators too but it didn't seem to get any traction!

Nonetheless, I sincerely hope one or two of them saw it because who knows, right? Perhaps a video like this can give a developer struggling with their mental health the boost they need.

I look forward to finishing the fight with my friend.

Thank you for reading.

For those interested :)
