[2022] New MCC patch: Did they fix campaign co-op disconnects?

Campaign coop for MCC has been unplayable for a long time. My friend and I got through the entire Halo CE campaign online no problem. But Halo 2 coop is completely broken on pc (steam). We got stuck at the beggining of Metropolis. It would always disconnect us both at a particular point.

We checked online and realized lots of people are experiencing this issue (halo 2 and 3). We tried some speculative fixes: lowering graphics and avoid killing some Ghosts. And it worked until mid mission the game disconnected for no aparent reason and reseted our entire progress (we're on legendary).

We replayed that mission so many times and it was so draining we won't bother to launch the game again until fixed.

Patchnotes metions as known issues "Connection Interrupted errors". I don't know if it's the same issue.
