Thesis: Whichever team has the most overall time with ball will receive MMR and the other team will lose MMR, no matter which team is declared the winner in the end. This only happens in 3 round Oddball matches.

Example:

Round 1: 100 / 30

Round 2: 12 / 100

Round 3: 100 / 95

Total: 212 / 225

Expected Results: First team receives Victory screen and collectively gains MMR. Second Team receives Defeat screen and collectively loses MMR.

Actual Results: * First team receives Victory screen and collectively looses MMR. Second Team receives Defeat screen and collectively gains MMR.

Supporting Information:

User goes 31-19 on "winning" team and loses MMR. Includes photo evidence.

User has 18:0 k/d and loses MMR in winning Oddball match

User experiences lost MMR with positive KD in winning ranked Oddball matches

User experiences virtually the same as previous post

User provides step-by-step photo evidence of bug in action-- receives victory screen at end of game, game declares team with defeat screen the shadow victor because they held ball for 2 more seconds than the "winning" team.

Personal anecdote: Have won all 3 of my last ranked matches, all Oddball, and have lost MMR in each. K/D was high in two of three. I'm going to keep GeForce on and record it happening and update this post when I have it uploaded.

Ranked is broken. But especially Oddball.

Edit// * I would like to clarify that the Expected Results are disregarding how K/D affects your overall MMR progress. This is strictly due to high K/D not being a factor in the bug occurring. It is indeed still possible to win a game and lose MMR due to severely negative K/D, but I haven't seen this occur unless you walk out with at least a 1:3 ratio, not factoring in accuracy / damage. We ultimately don't know the actual MMR equation because 343 has released no information regarding MMR and everything we know, AFAIK, is what we have all personally observed. It is irrefutable that high K/D greatly affects MMR progression over playing objectives, but it is also irrelevant towards reproducing the bug.

Hey u/Tiltinnitus - thank you for putting this together and providing so much detail. I'll ask the team if they can take a look at this!
