I don't know about you guys, but i don't think I've seen a single "nobody" playing a halo reach flight. What gives Microsoft? This game should have been out already based on your initial time projections.

Nearly 50K Insiders were invited to the last flight if we're being transparent here. Of that, a tiny fraction were what I'd call "popular streamers" or "MVPs."
Do we intentionally invite some of those folks? Of course we do. They are people who grind in the name of Halo day in and day out. They choose to play and stream and support Halo and the community. Our goals for flighting aren't about PR - we're not looking to pay streamers to drive a big marketing hit for an unreleased game - but we do want to make sure some of the people who work to grow and support Halo are with us on this journey.
Someone points out "look at Ubernick… he's been in all three flights." Yes, yes he has. He's also an official HCS Grassroots partner. That means he's worked and grinded and committed himself to creating constant content and, in our opinion, helping to keep the scene and community thriving. If anyone else wants to put in the work to become a Grassroots partner, they'd get the same 'perk.'
These folks also provide a larger platform to help share the content outwards so people who don't get in to play personally can at least see how it's going and if they choose, have some connection to the development progress.
Adding in 'popular streamers' does NOT 'take away' from you or any other 'regular' person's chance of getting into the flight. This list is incremental to the initial audience query.
I 100% understand the frustration of tens of thousands of eager Halo Insiders who want to play and participate. Frankly I wish we could just let EVERYONE into a flight who wants to, but that's just not realistic. Even this last flight was really pushing the limits on capacity and we saw some services start to buckle. We've got a Reach PC flight coming up next, we've got five more full titles to still work on and flight on the journey to get MCC to PC - there's plenty of road and opportunity ahead for Halo Insiders who want to continue with us.
I 100% appreciate everyone who has participated but also everyone who signed up and showed an interest in flighting and giving feedback. Thank you for your support and passion. I hope we can continue to open more opportunities for more people to get into flights on the road ahead.
Oh, and one last thing - when we did our first round of invites for this last flight, we had close to 2K people initially get selected only to find that they never finished the Halo Insider opt-in process and didn't verify their emails. So, we couldn't send them an invite and had to query for new people. Please make sure your email is valid and verified, especially as we start getting ready for the next PC flight.
