| 76s | excellent at exploiting scaling minions |

| 81s | rack many players would be tempted here |
| 83s | to simply continue to buy and sell small |
| 86s | buffs and small stat increases to try |
| 88s | and out scale the opponent but reba |
| 90s | instead diverts and rolls more |
| 92s | aggressively with milhouse looking for a |
| 94s | wildfire triple or for finishing tech |
| 97s | cars like leroy or additional divine |
| 99s | shields eventually sells out the little |
| 101s | rag completely and abandons his scaling |
| 105s | rolling with milhouse is a risky game |
| 106s | but as we can see from the eventual |
| 108s | fight he was drastically outscaled and |
| 111s | needed something just a little bit extra |
| 112s | to happen to take down the win this is |
| 114s | good decision making and game state |
| 116s | recognition from our returning player |
| 119s | in the very next game ribapusa finds |
| 122s | himself back on the milhouse once again |
| 124s | and being faced with one of milhouse's |
| 126s | greatest assets in this meta the ability |
| 128s | to buy a bunch of minions and complete |
| 130s | quests early in this situation though he |
| 132s | seemingly makes a mess of a couple of |
| 134s | turns choosing over the course of two |
| 136s | turns to sacrifice quest completion in |
| 139s | order to float gold and buff tavern |
| 141s | tippers on this second occasion his |
| 143s | small buffs on the tavern tippers means |
| 145s | that he sacrifices an entire turn of |
| 147s | 12-12 buffs on the cyclone he has in |
| 149s | hand which is questionable at best and i |
| 152s | think his facial expressions seem to |
| 154s | betray his dissatisfaction ribapusa ends |
| 157s | up dying to a ghost in this game which |
| 159s | is usually a sign you've made some |
| 161s | sub-optimal life decisions amazingly for |
| 164s | a player who we were informed by the |
| 166s | korean community has a reputation for |
| 168s | safe and consistent play we join him |
| 170s | again in a high risk high reward economy |
| 173s | style hero as he's presented with a huge |
| 176s | gallywix turn hitting three five drop |
| 178s | triples on turn six and picking up |
| 181s | elemental scaling with all three of them |
| 183s | from here it's a matter of scrapping to |
| 185s | survive the two turns he needs before he |
| 187s | becomes the absolute unstoppable force |
| 190s | of game three ending up in an entirely |
| 192s | unassailable position just a few short |
| 195s | turns later his navigation of the turns |
| 197s | needed to survive those two turns was |
| 199s | expertly done however and surviving that |
| 203s | last 15 health break point is super |
| 205s | crucial when you get heavy scaling like |
| 207s | this |
| 208s | and finally we see ribapusa |
| 210s | demonstrating what i believe to be the |
| 212s | most crucial skill in high-level |
| 214s | battlegrounds during this quest meta |
| 216s | which is processing all of the |
| 218s | information that the game throws at you |
| 220s | on many of the turns this turn in |
| 222s | particular presents an absolutely |
| 225s | massive amount of information there's |
| 227s | just a lot going on double calgos with |
| 229s | anima bribe highly incentivizes buying |
| 231s | and selling in order to create stats |
| 233s | both on board and in the shop you have a |
| 235s | web smuggler which is a debatable keep |
| 237s | in terms of whether you need those extra |
| 239s | stats the sacrifice of keeping the small |
| 240s | minion on board but reba recognizes a |
| 243s | piece of information far more important |
| 244s | than any of that which is what his |
| 246s | opponent is doing young chang will be |
| 249s | showing mirror shield and murlocs when |
| 251s | you mouse over him on the side which |
| 253s | means divine shield poison murlocs are |
| 256s | very very likely so no matter how hard |
| 258s | you pump your stats with anima bribe and |
| 261s | with kalagos you risk losing the fight |
| 263s | and therefore the game to divine shield |
| 266s | poison murlocs |
| 267s | ribapusa therefore diverts to the tunnel |
| 269s | blaster instead saving the fight and in |
| 272s | fact his uh his own life meaning he |
| 275s | becomes the first player to put the |
| 277s | lobby in check as a result this is just |
| 280s | perfect game state recognition from a |
| 282s | very composed player |
| 285s | and so our report card for riba pusa |
| 289s | he made top eight and set the early pace |
| 292s | on day two |
| 293s | he showed a wide variety of play styles |
| 296s | responding to the current situation as |
| 298s | required excellently |
| 300s | it did make a few sloppy errors and some |
| 303s | questionable decisions nonetheless |

| 308s | constructed icon turned battlegrounds |
| 311s | aficionados xo is one of the strongest |
| 313s | multi-discipline hearthstone players the |
| 315s | game has ever seen and in his lobby |
| 318s | legends stream debut we must take the |
| 320s | opportunity to pass judgement on zixo |
| 323s | from my lofty perch |
| 325s | to my disappointment however he actually |
| 327s | played really well so this is all |
| 329s | sickeningly positive oh well we'll get |
| 331s | through it |
| 332s | joining zixo in game three he is playing |
| 335s | dancing daryl with the coveted anima |
| 337s | bribe quest despite fears from the live |
| 340s | casters that zixo may take damage in the |
| 342s | early game while setting up for the huge |
| 344s | dances zixo is wise and they are foolish |
| 348s | zixo spends the early game taking a |
| 350s | number of small dance turns instead |
| 353s | effectively spending as much gold as |
| 354s | possible on every turn buying and |
| 357s | selling minions and resisting the urge |
| 359s | to roll looking for good targets some |
| 361s | people would argue this is the correct |
| 362s | way to play daryl regardless but in the |
| 365s | case of anima bribe it's doubly smart |
| 368s | due to the stats returning to the shop |
| 369s | on every cell zixo can afford to fill |
| 372s | his board with medium-sized minions |
| 374s | defend his health total while completing |
| 376s | the quest safe in the knowledge that |
| 378s | none of those juicy stats will be wasted |
| 380s | when he sells them back to the shop |
| 382s | later this is textbook the game ends up |
| 385s | locking in zixo's top eight spot since |
| 388s | despite lorinda's claim to the country |
| 390s | daryl always comes third stop it zottle |
| 394s | and now to probably one of the most |
| 396s | difficult to play turns in the whole |
| 398s | event what you're watching is a great |
| 400s | lesson in how to play towards your quest |
| 402s | specifically as a win condition although |
| 405s | xo had a great looking setup for |
| 406s | elementals with lil rag three refreshes |
| 409s | and a genie he recognized that with a |
| 411s | baron already in play his true win |
| 413s | condition was to look towards omega |
| 415s | buster and mex the reason being his |
| 418s | quest reward stolen gold which instantly |
| 421s | grants him a golden buster and a golden |
| 423s | baron at the start of each fight wildly |
| 425s | eclipsing the stats he would gain from |
| 427s | multiple turns of lil rag scaling even |
| 429s | with a near perfect setup simply using |
| 432s | the elemental economy engine is exactly |
| 434s | that to power through roles and find |
| 436s | triples he completes a smooth transition |
| 439s | over to mex despite bob constantly |
| 442s | trying to bait him down the elemental |
| 443s | path with repeated lil rags and smoggers |
| 446s | this is complete laser focus on finding |
| 449s | the winning composition despite there |
| 451s | being some missed actions on the last |
| 452s | few rolls due to time constraints this |
| 455s | is just a beautifully navigated turn |
| 458s | very very well played in the closing |
| 460s | stages of that very same game xo then |
| 463s | also wins the tech card battle a crucial |
| 466s | component in turning a top four into a |
| 468s | first his opponent seisei has tucked in |
| 471s | the customary zap to try and remove the |
| 473s | baron and kangors from zixo's board but |
| 475s | zixo having seen the tech already is way |
| 478s | too smart for that and finds the |
| 479s | smallest possible murloc gives it poison |
| 482s | with a toxifin and then zap just goes |
| 484s | colliding into the two attack minion |
| 487s | immediately killing itself in the |
| 488s | process there is no place for bullies in |
| 491s | my schoolyard zap pick on someone your |
| 493s | own size |
| 495s | i think even then with golden buster |
| 498s | guaranteed |
| 500s | probably this is too big |

| 504s | yeah the faux roof is gonna have to do |

| 534s | disastrous start to the first four games |

| 544s | non-obvious positions |
| 547s | he was an anima bribe enjoyer |
| 550s | he kept a cool head in game through some |
| 552s | emotionally testing situations and very |
| 555s | nearly came back from eighth in the |
| 557s | standings to winning the whole thing |

| 572s | battle against zixo with cleaves and zap |

| 577s | particular highlight but this was a |
| 580s | crazy event with six players going into |
| 582s | the final lobby with the ability to win |
| 585s | the whole tournament having the lobby in |
| 586s | check so i simply do not have enough |
| 588s | time to highlight every player who |
| 591s | deserves it in this video |
