That was honestly my line of thinking. If she meant regular Core Set rotation, why even post about it if it's a) so far away and b) pretty obvious that it's going to happen anyway? That's why I thought she meant sending him on an early vacation, like in the next balance update or maybe patch 26.2.

There's still a chance that the card gets nerfed before it rotates out, though

Because until now, nobody had commented on whether Brann would rotate with the core set or not, and I wanted to reassure people that we weren't ignoring them. Pretty obvious to some isn't necessarily obvious to all.

Yes, we are reassured that we will have to deal with it for 3 more months. So much fun in perspective.

There is a balance patch coming! If we can bring things in line without needing Warsong style nerfs, then it's preferable to breaking decks by rotating Brann early.

So instead of rotating 1 problematic card that is part of the core set and that will rotate anyway in 3 months, we will have to balance current cards ? Not going to happen.

Decks built around Brann can't be balanced, so he either rotate now or the problems will persist.

Well, we're going to try nonetheless. I recognize your skepticism, but hopefully we prove you wrong. If we don't then we'll keep trying until we get it right.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really glad that you let us know that you seriously consider rotating Brann with the next Standard year. You're right that no one has talked about it before and it's useful info (any kind of communication about future plans is great).

I just feel like you should have mentioned Core Set rotation in the first tweet because given the overall context many people (including me) misinterpreted it. But all in all, it's really a non-issue given that you clarified pretty quickly and then deleted the original tweet to not mislead anyone. The meme was light-hearted and I didn't mean it as a criticism.

I mean, feel free to ask if you ever want clarity on something. I can't guarantee I'll always be able to answer, but I'm usually pretty available.
