....If you tell HOI4 "Hey, this template only uses Tier 0 infantry kits now" the game will not immediately remove all the tier 1 kits being used by that template in the field/garrisons and swap them for readily available tier 0 kits. It will just stop sending Tier 1 and 2 kits to the divisions over time. So, you want to set this up well ahead of time, or you end up with advanced equipment in your garrison templates you didn't realize was still there.

I've forgotten to do it before and watched my panzer divisions roll into battle with MOT having Tier 0 kits salvaged from Yugoslavia while the CAV garrisons had some Tier 2 kits floating around.
