@TilFolkvang “Wish you had been given more time” kinda sounds like the evil exec/publisher vs devs stuff that people love to repeat, and it bugs me every time because at PDS the dev teams decide when stuff releases and are the main stakeholders.

@TilFolkvang i apologize if thats not what you meant but i have a chip on my shoulder about ppl assuming evil suits everywhere. Big complex games are hard as you say tho and tiny changes can easily do big unforseen stuff. Had a hoi release go from unplayable to fine by changing a 0.9 to 0.3

@TilFolkvang in my general experience with release dates its usually a combo of knowing you can handle the big known bugs in time, getting enough padding for post release time (no working at xmas/juli) and marketing having time to prep. 1-2 weeks b4 release you do final tests to confirm ok

@TilFolkvang often something gets found in the last few days because our games are hideously complex and them we either hotfix before the release lands , which can be an unknown risk - or it goes in the first patch (known risk)
