Really excited for 2.0. I helped out a little during my summer vacation to learn some of the new jomini engine (hoi code is old at this point!) and it was just so so much nicer with the new clean UI look <3 https://twitter.com/gameimperator/status/1310567487923253248

@Mr__Grizzly I do miss the great UI workflow in the new one, but mostly I think I miss the tooltips in tooltips. Its just such a nice way to be able to explain concepts and drill down into modifiers etc without making giant tooltips

@andre_citro I'd expect so. No reason to use an older engine

@LoganAyrton maybe worth another try with 2.0. A lot of stuff has been changing

@OXIOXIForever Yeah Imperator was the first out on Jomini, which is an earlier version of what CK3 is running. The the engine developed after HOI4/Stellaris to support future games

@ZaphodCortez yeah I think we did a really good job with the UI look on HOI actually. its stood the test of time well. The map used to be prettier but I kept dialing it back to make stuff clearer etc... but man that 2015 snow I had coded was really sexy :cry:

@Lord_SAS Its a difficult problem, but I think the big issue is 1) how much code we have in the UI layer 2) how different it is to the new systems. It would be a massive effort to port it just to be able to work faster, and most likely the reward is more bugs. Even on a scale of 3-5 years

@Lord_SAS Thanks :) and yup its exciting and I hope people like separate content focused DLC. Its good to not have to tie everything to huge system changing DLCs that need huge timescales to develop

@Benjamin_Magnus ah one of the Finnish sausage stew traps? I always wanted to make that into a special hoi4 tactic that could trigger in special situations ;D
