I'm new to this game (so please don't bash me if I'm asking stuff that is already confirmed/denied by the devs). I come from Battlefield 2042 and was massively disappointed in the lack of care from the devs, the lack of team play, the lack of authenticity, the lack of.. everything.
I want to try something new and that's why I'm here.
Now, Battlefield is known to have destruction in their game (even though 2042's is a massive downgrade). And what can I say except I really like that. Don't get me wrong, I don't want people running around destroying things left and right but I'd think it would be cool if walls or parts of houses would break if a tank or something shoots at it.
I know that at one point the devs said that they would like to do that but (unlike Frostbite) Unreal Engine 4 wasn't built around having destroyable environment. Now that Unreal Engine 5 is (mostly) here and the devs will probably update to it in the future, could it be easier to implement destruction?
