Prior to HLL, Medal of Honor Frontline and Return To Castle Wolfenstein were my ATG WWII shooters. I understand there is a massive difference in HLL being multiplayer only but the attention to detail is second to none. f*cking masterful piece of gaming. I’m so glad it’s not ruined being mainstream like Battlefield. Massive SO to the developers, artists and everyone behind the scenes.

Now you just need to find a way to motivate squad leaders to build garrisons

Solution: If SL doesnt build garrisons, their XP and Level gets reset to 0 ;).

Consoles will have their update before PC will have their U12 update! Good times ahead!

I came to the realisation that the game is so good that even when you are losing the game, you are having an absolute blast. Even after a long fight we lose, by the time that end screen comes up I'm singing along to whatever, it's over there! Lol.

That's how you can know with confidence that the game is great. It's unheard of in modern gaming online especially one so reliant on communication between human beings online, that when losing you can still have a fun time. Maybe I'm also just older and appreciate the small things in the game more, which overall add up to the immersive qualities.

This past weekend after losing a game, I was so it's upbeat and pleased with how much fun I was having that I thought "wow this is possibly the most fun game I've ever played".

Pro tip for any players: If you haven't seen saving private Ryan, obviously watch it, regardless, do a rewatch and you will see how much they put into the game to give us all the Saving Private Ryan experience we all wanted since inception of FPS and multiplayer

It's also the first time in forever that I actually am so happy and thankful for the devs (team 17) and anyone that worked on the game really. From art to sfx to gameplay. Bravo Team 17 and thank you for giving people what they want and reaping the benefits of it by just tons of love towards you guys which is almost unheard of in 2022 - after what I felt like was decades of unfortunate disappointment due to video game dev oligopoly and corporate greed.

Keep it up my dudes. I am beyond excited for Remagen and the night mode updates coming.

Tagging you in the hopes you read this and relay it to the rest of the team :)

Awwww... thaaaanks! We are all excited to play and see playthroughs of Remagrn and Nightmaps and more currently secret stuff for U12 too!

lmao that would be nice, I know it's hard to come up with a solution for that. But I think its the biggest issue with the game so far. Most games I been into lately theres like one garrison up :c

Hmmm... im sure a solution can be found!

I don't want to rain on your parade, but the team should not rest on their laurels.

One of the biggest pain points right now is the influx of new players is creating situations where games are steam-rolls. It's not enjoyable to be on the giving or receiving ends of these types of games.

I'm talking the following:

  • Experienced players needing to teach people the game rather than play for themselves
  • People not communicating
  • Newbies picking SL or Commander, and not providing utility to the team
  • People not understanding the value of garrisons
  • People solo-tanking

This game is a gem, but please for the love of god, prioritize new player ramp-up.

Please add an offline gunrange and tutorial.

The dev team is burning out experienced players by forcing them into teacher roles due to product gaps.

As of today we havent rested a moment. We are all working hard, nights, weekends, multiple studios are working on the game and we are making major progress.

Improvements are being made, do notify them during PTEs and post them in the PTE Feedback docs. The reason I am mentioning PTEs is that before PTEs the focus is mainly on new assets, while PTEs can support gameplay changes.

Cheeers!

Thank you for your response. I wasn't implying that the dev team was slacking and I'm sure everyone has been working hard to continue to make this a game that we can cherish for years to come. I work in tech, so i know the feel of crunch time.

As a user, I'm just frustrated that the quality of my games has degraded recently due to the points that I raised in my previous message. Every HLL game takes 90 mins which is a huge investment in time. Wasted time sucks.

do notify them during PTEs and post them in the PTE Feedback docs

What are PTEs and how can I provide feedback?

No worries! Ah, PTEs are the playtests. Some info is shared in the latest Steam devbrief. They will be hosted soon, so if possible, do jump in ;).
