U6 introduced ballistics. We simulate many physical effects, all of which are based on real-world values, such as bullet grain, shape, velocity, air-resistance (drag), gravity etc. All gunsights with the exception of Bazooka, Panzershreck and PTRS are currently zeroed to 100M.
At range, you will therefore need to lead your shots appropriately.
Hit Registration has been repeatedly tested and verified to be working perfectly. The registration issues that we've seen from reports are caused by networking spikes or hangs, commonly (but mistakenly) called "desync". In the past some of these have been caused by server performance/hangs, but most of those should be fixed now.
However, this is usually the result of poor network performance. Make sure you are not playing on WiFi, and keep track of your ping over time. If ping varies a lot, report it to the admins and try playing on another server.
