8s frankfurt but we are here to talk about
11s our upcoming event serpent moon and tell
13s you a bit about our highlights for the
14s event uh as you know the serpent moon is
17s coming and probably it will be our
19s biggest and longest event so far yeah
21s and the event will also feature brand
23s new mechanics and systematic changes as
25s well to progression and we will also
27s have a developer live stream later today
29s so make sure to tune in to that for more
31s information and to ask all your
33s questions but without further ado let's
35s dive into certain moves but before we
37s dive into all the changes let's talk
39s about how these events are made could
40s you tell us about them basically it's
42s quite you know long and interesting
44s process between many different
46s departments so uh like let's say we have
49s a game design we have live design we
51s have narrative we have artist coders and
53s you know like every people who are
54s involved in the development so uh like
57s how it usually works is that you know we
59s came up with a like specific concept
61s about the event and well as you can see
64s recently we had this uh like moon theme
67s you know like it started with the
68s previous event so basically the
71s narrative came up like with the concept
73s and then we
75s developed that further with the
77s live design and game design to you know
79s basically cover all the parts uh
81s regarding this event community has been
83s asking for new gameplay changes during
84s events so could you tell us why we
86s haven't changed anything so far and what
88s we can expect from serpent moon
90s the thing is that uh developing the
92s whole event uh it might seem as a you
95s know like very easy thing to do but in
98s fact it's required a lot of people you
100s know like just to sit together and work
102s together so it's a in fact it's a very
104s massive process you know sometimes we
105s just have you know like other priorities
107s or maybe like another other features to
110s develop so it's all about the team
113s bandwidth and stuff
115s but we
116s always considered our events as a you
118s know like as a some kind of a playground
120s or something where we can you know
122s experiment and try something out so you
124s could see that you know like from the
126s live design perspective maybe with the
127s past events now we are like finally at
130s this point when where we can uh you know
132s try and experiment maybe more with the
134s gameplay changes as well as uh on with a
138s live design changes i'm really happy to
140s hear that and i'm sure the community
142s will appreciate as well but then could
144s you tell us about the new gameplay
145s changes in this event a lot of our
147s players are already familiar with the
149s concept that we had in a previous event
151s when you basically where you basically
153s had to you know collect stuff and
154s destroy this object so with this event i
157s wouldn't say that it's completely
160s different from that but we added one
162s very interesting feature in there that
165s hopefully will change the gameplay
167s perception and you know like the way how
169s people do play the game instead of uh
171s this uh like standard objects that you
174s know people are used to destroy we will
176s have uh snake dance
179s so it's like uh snake baskets or
181s something with the snakes inside players
184s will have to
185s communicate or interact maybe with these
188s snakes and
190s they have to approach them very
191s carefully you know like just not to
193s scare them because if you approach them
196s really fast they work you know somewhat
198s similar to horses or maybe crows so you
201s need to do it you know like very very
203s sneaky in a sneaky way so this snake
206s basket sounds really cool and very
208s interactive for the players but could
209s you also tell us how you actually earn
211s points in this event as i mentioned with
213s this snake dance or snake baskets uh
216s basically you need to approach them and
217s you know interact them with like very
219s carefully because they actually can bite
221s you and
223s you can get poisoned if you carefully
225s approach them and interact with them you
227s can get event points as usual but uh
230s this uh like poisonous effect it's not
232s like the only gameplay thing that we
234s have
235s so uh together with the event points you
238s also can get snake tokens snake tokens
241s uh okay that sounds completely new uh
243s what can you do with the tokens that you
245s get so with this snake tokens uh
248s basically you cannot just extract from
250s the mission with them because in this
252s case you will just like lose them to get
254s event points out of the sneak tokens you
257s need to deliver them to the altars
259s and sacrifice the snakes on this altar
262s these altars they are placed
265s very close to the
266s boss compounds boss layers by doing this
269s we are trying to
271s influence the core gameplay a little bit
274s everything is designed in a way to kind
276s of
277s navigate people through the level
278s towards the final goal and basically the
281s final goal for the game is to kill the
284s boss get the bounty and extract from the
286s mission by collecting the snakes
288s basically our players will
290s have to go towards the boss layer and
293s potentially
294s you know fight meet other people it will
296s be very fun to see how it changes the
299s whole flow of the game and how it
300s creates more encounters uh close to the
302s boss compounds but what about pvp so how
306s can players earn points by
308s interacting with each other for example
310s if
311s you are killed
313s and
314s another hunter tried to loot you he will
316s get not only event points but also all
319s the snakes that
321s you collected before by doing this we
323s also try to you know spice up a little
325s bit this interaction between players
327s yeah this definitely encourages more pvp
329s in general to get all the tokens you can
330s get yes yes that's true but uh yeah
333s again it's like not the only to sold
336s snake baskets and uh enemy hunters they
338s are not the only
340s sources for event points as usual we
343s will have our classic clues
345s and for killing bosses for example you
348s also will get event points and snakes as
350s well all the gameplay changes sound
352s really fun and i also can't wait to try
354s them out myself but for more detailed

360s show examples of each of these mechanics
362s anton just mentioned but that's not the
364s only things we changed with this event
366s we also overhauled the whole progression
368s so could you tell a bit about that and
370s how that works this time so yeah that's
373s true the gameplay is like not the only
375s thing that we changed so
376s for the first time ever in hunt we are
380s introducing the battle pass system
382s and uh yeah this thing is kind of new
385s for us we never tried that but uh
388s well that's also kind of experiment for
391s us and yeah we will see how it works but
394s uh basically so to explain a little bit
396s how it works uh we will have two
399s different progressions one is free and
401s other one is gilded path everyone can
404s get all the rewards from the free
406s progression for free just by playing the
409s game so they collect event points they
411s progress so at any point like within
415s your progression for example you are at
417s level 10 in the progression
419s you can just purchase the gilded path
422s access
423s and with this gilded path
426s access
427s you can unlock everything
429s that you already get from like previous
433s levels so if you're on the level 10 you
435s can get everything from level 1 to level
438s 10 basically
439s that's how it works the gilded path
442s battle pass system sounds very
443s interesting and we are excited to hear
445s your feedback as well as we mentioned
447s this is our biggest and longest event so
449s far so players will have actually 60
451s days to complete the progression so
453s you'll have a bunch of time during the
455s summer to finish this event and i also
458s heard that there's a lot of rewards this
460s time could you tell us about that well
462s event will be you know quite long and
465s it's actually our first take so where
467s maybe we're trying to go towards you
469s know season system or something like
470s that it's a little spoiler but
474s uh yeah so uh yes for this event uh well
478s first of all we will have two brand new
480s weapons
481s uh the sparks pistol and the
485s romero 77 alamo uh we will have more
489s than 1000 blood bones in this
491s progression also we will have uh nine
495s uh new legendary items like weapons and
498s uh tools and consumables so a lot of new
502s stuff to play i think i think we
504s never had that many you know for the
505s event and we will have the first
509s evolving hunter it has uh four different
512s stages you just like play the game
514s normally you progress through the event
516s to unlock these stages and every stage
519s of this hunter looks you know more and
521s more badass it actually you know
522s corresponds a little bit with the story
524s itself because uh we also have a
528s big story for this event and well i know
532s that we
533s had the story in a previous event so
536s this story is kind of you know
537s follow the same uh
540s the same idea and uh yeah probably will
544s know more about you know like characters
545s that you already know and maybe about
547s the mr cherry himself i can already hear
549s that the new hunter will be called viper
552s and they are super cool so it's going to
554s be a lot of fun to play with them and
556s try them out in the bayou and yeah the
558s story is going to continue the story of
560s the previous event traitor moon and the
562s serpent moon will be here we'll have
565s actually a lot of videos to show you
566s guys explaining the story as well so

574s lot of great stories to tell homes so
576s now we have learned all about the
577s gameplay changes the progression changes
579s in the serpent moon but hunt always has
582s some sort of booster mechanics added to
584s its events so could you tell us about
586s how these will work in serpent moon
588s yeah so uh for this event uh i mean
591s everyone who played our previous event
592s the trader moon uh there is like not
595s that many changes
596s in terms of you know boosters and stuff
598s so we will have our standard classic
600s cherries contract
602s and we will have four
605s hunters for legendary hunters to boost
608s your event points even more two of them
611s will be dlc hunters the first one would
613s be the witch hunter from the they came
616s from selling dlc and another one would
619s be the prescient from depression night
622s dlc which will be released together with
624s the event but we also will have two
627s bloodborne hunters
628s and
629s these two blood one hunters would be the
632s knights here who was i think one of the
634s first our bloodborne content right yeah
637s if i'm not wrong i think uh he was
639s released with the 1.0 uh
641s yeah and the second one would be hail
644s mary so with uh these hunters you will
647s get some extra points what else uh we
650s will have signee trait uh also like some
653s of our players are already familiar with
655s that it's just a special event trait
658s which will be available only during the
660s event and it will also
662s boost your event points and
665s will increase the dark side range a
667s little bit so you will
669s find uh you know the event objects a bit
672s easier
673s and
674s beside that we will have three more uh
678s event uh
680s not really event unique but uh
683s three traits that we usually have in
685s game but they will be boosted for the
687s event so these traits would be the
690s serpent rate
692s and it will help you to sacrifice your
695s snakes to the altars you know from the
697s distance
698s the other one would be the poison sense
702s which will help you to track enemy
705s hunters uh poisoned enemy hunters from
708s bigger distance
709s and the last one would be the beast
711s phase and the beast face will help you
713s to approach the snake dances you know
716s much faster and you know maybe with a
719s less chance
720s of like
722s being uh poisoned i'm kind of seeing a
724s theme here all these traits are
725s connected to the poison thing so yeah
727s that is definitely very fitting for
729s serpent moon so we heard all about the
731s serpent moon event now how the
733s progression works about all the gameplay
735s changes all the cool rewards is there
736s anything else you would like to add
739s uh actually yes so uh some of our
741s players they're already familiar with
743s this like overspill system basically
745s when you complete the event and you get
748s all the rewards from the event you could
750s still play to you know get a bit more
752s event points and get some home dollars
755s in return
756s so for this event we decided to make
758s this thing a little bit more challenging
760s and maybe competitive
762s so uh we introduced this uh cherries
766s hunter thing basically it works as a
769s leader board and you need to earn event
771s points to you know like get higher so
773s basically there are like different uh
776s tops for players like top one top five
779s top 25 to 50 top 75 but depending on
782s like how many event points you have
784s you can be in a you know different top
787s so uh we're using this system to
790s basically give some extra rewards for
792s players and uh it's you know like
794s in-game currency like uh hund dollars
796s and a little bit of blood bones as well
798s but we deliberately didn't add any
802s uh you know unique extra content there
804s because we still want to keep this
807s leaderboard as you know like just the
809s optional thing for these people who
811s maybe you know like want to challenge
813s themselves and yeah challenge other
815s people and uh yeah to
818s you know be in this little important
819s yeah that sounds great it's an actual
822s layer of challenge for some people that
823s are interested in after completing the
825s event of course
826s but with that being said we came to the
