29s | upgrade we started our latest Trilogy of |
32s | events with the tide of Shadows in June |
34s | we are now preparing to deploy the |
35s | second and third chapters of the trilogy |
37s | across the fall and winter of 2023 we've |
40s | had a great response to the new packs |
42s | and trait systems that we update with |
44s | each event we plan to deliver more of |
46s | these mixing up some of the old ones and |
48s | introducing new ones as we go a fiery |
50s | Wild Card map condition from last year |
52s | will return with some tweaks and |
54s | modifications and the development is |
56s | underway for an entirely new condition |
58s | but we'll talk about that more when it's |

62s | launch October will have a twitch drop |
65s | campaign as we celebrate Halloween with |
67s | a new hunter weapon and charm reward for |
70s | viewers these drops will also include |
72s | another wave of crates to bolster your |
74s | inventories and the event points that |
76s | you get just for tuning in to |
79s | watch we will soon offer an additional |
82s | 25 Hunter slots to upgrade beyond the |
84s | current maximum of 50 The Prestige |
87s | system is also getting a rework related |
89s | to the unlocking of weapons |
91s | this year and then some new reward |
92s | schemes are planned for 2024 |
95s | specifically we will unlock more base |
97s | weapon groups for both new and Prestige |
99s | players very early in the progression |
101s | this should reduce the pain of prestige |
103s | somewhat while next year we will be back |

214s | consistency and the trade Windows where |

218s | painfully long delays between the |
220s | on-screen deaths matchmaking will be |
222s | refactored to address MMR volatility and |
225s | allow partner Duos to team with a third |

234s | enemy teams in your proximity and voice |

250s | launching into hunt Showdown with it |
252s | active we'll be taking even more steps |
254s | to ensure Fair Play Over the coming year |
256s | as we've recruited some key hires for a |
258s | focused team countering exploits and |
260s | cheaters along with a more sophisticated |
262s | handling and Analysis of player |
264s | reporting for toxicity exploits and |

270s | the hunt upgrade to cry engine 511 is |
273s | still underway and planned for release |
275s | in early 2024 as announced previously |
277s | map 4 is coming next year with a new |
279s | biome map 4 is being built as a showcase |
282s | for many of the graphical and content |
284s | upgrades in the new cry engine and will |
286s | launch at the same time as the upgrade |
289s | this upgrade applies to both the PC and |
291s | console versions of hunt Showdown and |
293s | will Mark the official launches for |
295s | PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X ands we |
298s | are also announcing today that with this |
300s | upgrade we'll be raising both the |
302s | minimum PC and console specs that hunt |
304s | Showdown will support the important note |
306s | for console users is that with the |
309s | upgrade and Launches on Xbox series X |
311s | and S as well as PS5 consoles the |
313s | previous generation of consoles such as |
316s | PS4 and Xbox One versions of hunt |
318s | Showdown will no longer be available for |
320s | play the removal of PS4 and Xbox One |
323s | support will not happen any sooner than |
325s | April 2024 but is being announced now to |
328s | give ample notice to any affected |
330s | players in the same time frame the PC |
332s | Min supported spec will be raised to an |
334s | equivalent level as noted in the screen |
342s | details after 5 and 1/2 years of hunt we |
345s | wrestled with the numbers and reviewed |
347s | the install base among active users |
349s | these upgrades should impact less than |
351s | 10% of the community while greatly |
352s | enhancing the experience for the other |
354s | 90% as part of the new console launches |
357s | a free upgrade path will be provided for |
359s | players to migrate from the older |
361s | console versions to the new upgraded |
363s | versions of hunt Showdown no new |
365s | purchase is required to make the |
366s | transition and player history |
368s | inventories and DLC purchases are also |
371s | carried over without charge PC title IDs |
374s | and game ownership will be unchanged |
376s | with no transition or Bridge needed the |
378s | first stage of publishing the upgraded |
380s | engine version has support for dx12 FSR |
384s | 2.1.2 direct storage and HDR and that's |
388s | just the first stage as we continue into |
390s | the second half of 2024 will continue to |
392s | add generationally improved features all |
395s | made possible by the combination of the |
397s | new cry engine and the increased minimum |
400s | supported specs a complete UI overhaul |
402s | is also underway as part of the engine |
404s | upgrade this overhaul refactors every |
407s | screen in the game a strong emphasis has |
409s | been placed on navigation and |
410s | readability for both mouse and keyboard |
413s | as well as game pad controller users |
415s | from early review we see that it's a |
417s | significant Improvement and we are eager |
