20s i've seen that quite a lot actually so
23s yeah i've had i've had to just you know

35s managed to put it in the presentation as
37s well so uh let's talk about the mines a
39s bit nice yeah nice
42s right so basically we've opened up the
44s mine underneath kingsnake um
47s it's uh connecting this um construction
50s side side building
52s with the main boss pit underneath and uh
55s one big entrance the one that's been all
58s boarded up right towards um
61s towards like the inner yacht the
62s downstairs yacht
64s um there's a
65s i mean we could
67s hop straight to the pictures there's
68s some staircase in there to get into the
70s boss pit a ladder an elevator lots of
73s ways to get into the boss bit and out of
75s it yeah here's a previous version and
77s obviously those that were uh
80s lucky enough to see these on social
82s media you could already get a peek but
84s yeah this is the close version of the
86s mine uh as tom mentioned and
89s suddenly it's all open
91s it's really cool
93s and uh
95s yeah so how can people access the uh the
97s main building from here exactly
100s so you can see a bit here on the left
101s top corner there's the staircase going
103s up so this one leads into the boss pits

106s if you have it in your head right now
108s it's just it has this bottom part
110s where it's also been kind of blocked off
112s i also know that some people have
114s already found ways to get in there even
118s on life already and see like work in
121s progress broken stuff but now it's all
123s nice and pretty and dressed up you can
125s see here again the staircase right
126s behind the camera cameras basically
128s where new elevators this elevator takes
130s you all the way up top i think
132s does it take you to the now it takes to
134s the first floor
135s to where the crank gate is but yeah
137s there's there's a bunch of ways now to
138s get in there basically get in and out
141s and this is my favorite one it looks so
142s cool we tried
144s yeah we tried to keep it simple like we
146s didn't want to make a huge obviously we
148s didn't want to make a huge mazie mind
150s complex you know with dark corners where
153s you know people would sit
155s but it's more of it i mean obviously
158s it's a mine it needed the mine shaft it
160s needed the underground area needed the
161s cave we we couldn't make it for the
163s initial release
164s um because of performance reasons back
166s in the day but it's always been
168s bothering us and on our list to to add
170s it and yeah here it is i guess
173s yeah it's awesome and uh obviously uh
175s whenever the update is on test servers
176s you guys can all try it out and please
179s leave us our feed leave us feedback
181s regarding this as well as it's a whole
183s new area to access but
185s this is obviously not the only change
188s actually it is a small part of the level
190s design changes we have in store for you
193s and uh our awesome level design team
195s actually made changes on all three maps
198s but let's start off with uh steel water
200s by you
201s and uh
203s uh these are just the compounds that
204s were changed but we're gonna look at
206s them one by one yeah
209s so yeah i'm just gonna give you a small
211s like from the pictures to get a little
212s overview i'm just going to tell you the
214s most significant change about it i guess
216s and if you'd want to just go through the
218s pictures
220s yeah alice farm as you all know and love
222s or hate i don't know how you guys feel
224s about it now there's this window on the
226s barn because it's always been people
228s like trying to peek the gaps and cracks
230s there and it's always been this weird
233s fight or there's this little hole on the
235s left where where people would usually
237s fight through from this little shack
238s that is like left of the camera right
240s now this little barn
241s and we wanted a cleaner way to fight
245s then basically added this window you can
247s also see this little roof right there is
249s new uh underneath the window
252s and this connects basically the two side
255s roofs of the building now and if you
257s want to skip to the or if you want to go
259s to the next picture you can see here
261s that in the silo there's now a ladder
264s that takes you up to this
266s side of the roof so this is now
267s accessible hasn't been accessible before
269s i believe
270s and you can basically go into the corn
273s silo climb up there on the roof switch
275s to the other side of the building if you
276s wanted to it just gives you more options
278s and um
280s yeah just more options to play around
282s this building it's awesome and yeah just
284s to note that i always show the before a
286s first and then the after so it makes
288s sense and i'll go back and forth so a
290s chat can exactly see the changes but
292s yeah that's definitely so
294s i can also see that we basically made it
296s so that this uh roof is not as um it's
299s not looking like a swiss cheese as much
301s anymore as it did before so you know
302s where people are
304s you know where people look out of
305s because where there's still a hole in
307s the roof with these um planks
309s you can still have people be there and
311s look out into the forest and into the
314s yacht but it's now much more focused and
316s you know
318s you know where people can be basically
320s there's some awesome changes for ellie's
322s farm and that let's look at livestock
324s what change there
327s right one compound over this little hole
330s um it's been
332s ah

334s well we made it basically we added a
336s ramp to it right it's always been this
338s there's there's these situations where
340s you have to drop in there and you
343s you're kind of
345s trapped because the only way to get out
347s is to either vault or to use a ladder i
350s don't think anybody ever used that
351s little letter there
353s to be honest
354s uh yeah you can see it on the before
356s image also the little vault on the fence
359s above the hole
361s is now like a full height fence so you
364s don't get shot while you're in this
366s inner yacht randomly anymore you can
368s still climb over it there's some hay
369s balance behind it you'll see on the next
371s picture there's some hay bands behind it
372s where you can still
373s bolt out and get into the hole when if
376s you want to escape or if you want to go
377s on the ground
379s um the foreground has changed a bit as
381s well i believe just real quick because
383s the crank gate that was right at the
385s boss pit didn't really sit right with us
386s and we were thinking um to
389s give a better way there to get into the
391s compound get more use out of this
393s underground connection basically because
395s it felt very
396s underused so we're hoping by changing
399s doing some slight changes here in there
401s to give it a bit more
403s viability
405s yeah i just wanted to say that it was
406s always like a little trap where you uh
408s like vaulted over the fence and just
410s fell into the hole and sometimes there
411s was some ai in there and then
413s it was not always the best part to be in
415s especially when you're running from
416s teams in the open fields there so
419s yeah you get like chased out of the
421s compound and and you drop in there and
423s now well you gotta i mean your only
425s choice is to hide in the tunnels but
426s then
427s yeah i don't know yeah it was kind of a
429s death threat situation yeah yeah
432s smoother just smoother movement in this
434s area
435s and then from another angle
439s yeah you can see here as well like the
441s we've also
442s changed a bit the covers around it so
444s like this uh tree trunk you know it's a
446s bit more acting as proper cover now it's
449s just very slight subtle changes here
451s this little crouch hole in the fence
453s like right in the center of the image
454s there
455s just giving you a bit more

458s details tiny details that we did here
460s that uh might help in it's very
463s situational changes
465s and uh then let's move into the
467s crematorium side of
469s the map
471s and this is some awesome changes here

475s yeah again pitching the this time we're
478s looking a bit uh not only but we're also
481s looking a bit at the upper area of
483s pitching and trying to give it a bit
485s more structure because it did feel very
487s like
489s unsafe to a certain degree like you
492s didn't really want to be up there you
493s could get shot from from a lot of
495s different places so we're just trying to
497s add more structure make it a bit clearer
499s you know you have this this corridor
500s behind this wall they're more
503s more clearly separated now and things
505s like that it's also just some structural
508s changes the bigger one is this one and
510s this screenshot it doesn't really
512s tell you a lot i guess
514s there's a door yeah there's another
517s door
518s crazy

521s but that's a nice door right
523s yeah nice store that's very nice now
525s actually on the next screenshot you'll
527s see where it leads um
529s so this is when you come from the forest
532s from healing towards pitching there's a
534s new entrance now
535s where you don't have to go into the
537s compound first to get to the ramp or get
539s to the staircase or the elevator or
541s whatever goes out through the water but
543s you actually have
545s an entrance here
546s that is a is a bit more convenient i
548s guess if you come from the forest but
550s also for the defenders or people coming
552s out of the compound
553s gives you a little bit of a ramp to
555s to peak maybe into the forest right and
558s where people usually sit and wait so you
561s have a bit of
562s just another option there to
565s make your way out yeah i think it's
567s great like people also love the changes
568s of the chapel with the new entrances so
571s i think these are always like changing
572s up the game a bit it's
574s more options is always better
577s yeah
578s and uh yeah we have some other angles

581s right yeah so you see kind of where it
583s is so also since there was this before
586s there was these like individual walls
588s there could get a bit messy sometimes
591s where you're not exactly sure where the
593s person is but now you have just this big
595s block that you can play around
598s uh makes it a bit more readable
602s but yeah again details just you know
604s looking at the compound see what we can
606s improve on
607s um yeah there's always like smaller
609s changes to noticeable like the three
611s location chains and stuff like that
613s yeah it overall feels more natural and i
615s think nicer as well
618s uh but yeah let's go over to portugal

622s uh portraiture easy stairs
625s stairs more stairs
628s and some more trees in the background
629s they both moved a bit but that stair is
631s also great because it's something the
633s trees in the back i think that's just
635s something went wrong with the
636s screenshots they've been there i don't
637s know how that happened um but yeah it's
640s basically it's stairs because yeah if
642s you go to the next one i think the next
643s one is also stairs yeah
647s yeah give you more options to get up
649s there because it can sometimes be a bit
651s frustrating when you're down there when
653s you when you were pushed out of the
654s compound you had to drop down like
656s finding your way back in you have to
657s take if you want to be somewhat safe
659s about it you got to take
661s huge ass detours to
663s to get back up top and fight your way
665s back in so it's just a few more spots
668s for you to basically be able to do that
670s also the one on the screenshot before
672s if you
674s it just gives you another option to push
675s this scupper lake uh boss building like
678s this one towards copper lake so you can
680s if you're on the huts coming from alice
681s and you're at these huts at the entrance
683s of puerto rico it gives you the option
684s now to like
686s maybe you headshot somebody or you kill
688s somebody you damage somebody in the boss
689s pits now i can just drop down and push
691s over there real quick and get up pretty
692s fast and really take advantage of that
695s kill that you maybe made
696s uh instead of having to go all the way
698s around and now when you get to the boss
700s pit they already rest and it's back to
701s square one so this one
704s uh
705s this one is more where you have to make
707s such long detours to get back up and
710s use ladders
711s even you know so it's kind of hard to
713s get back up that's what this one is
715s for oh yeah stairs a lot of stairs but
718s we also add ladders by the way later on
721s so here's another uh
723s really visible change actually with the
724s new bridge
726s yeah
727s um this has always been this weird
729s situation there where
732s in the before screenshot you have this
734s boat hanging back there but the boat
736s actually just takes you to a ladder to
739s get to the second floor of the bus but
740s if you do want to get to this boss pit
742s you actually have to drop down use a
744s letter do some trick jumps or go all the
746s way around and now it's just
747s connected better i think we thought it
750s made sense to
752s to give it that connection and make it a
754s bit easier to push it and sometimes it's
756s just hard to get to the uh the boss room
759s anyway so
760s yeah it's it's nice
763s you can never really like if you don't
764s have these connections you also can't
766s really take advantage of a good shot you
769s get maybe on the defending team right so
771s defending teams inside you land a
773s headshot but it doesn't do anything if
775s you can't really follow up on it
777s so now
778s you know you might be able to
780s to do that where your teammates are
782s maybe a bit closer ready to the compound
784s you're still a bit further back you
786s managed to get a head shot on one of
787s them your teammates can push in or you
789s can push them together however you just
791s you're faster there
793s yeah that's also that will help out a
795s lot it fights
796s and uh
797s we still have some changes still water
799s ban
802s yeah this these screenshots aren't
804s really telling uh
806s i mean uh
807s in the back if you if you do the test
809s servers
810s yeah yeah in the middle of the picture
811s in the back there's a new uh way down if
813s i'm not mistaken
816s yes so where this little roof is in the
818s center there's basically a new staircase
820s that goes down and where this little
823s where the um the cage the falling cage
826s door is there used to be a letter that
828s took you down in there so the letter is
830s gone
831s the room in there now is a
833s guaranteed resupply room like where you
836s can always expect some ammo crates
838s and the entrance into the boss pits is
840s now staircase uh that you can access
843s from here and the reason for that was
845s that a lot of times when you come from
847s the northern part of the map and you
849s come into stillwater
851s you you're faced with a situation where
853s one team is down in the post pit one
855s team is where the white house is in the
857s back there or in this barn or mainly
859s like where the white house is because
860s the white house controls a lot of these
862s entrances you have an entrance right by
864s the house
865s you have the letter in the barn next to
867s it you have another ramp and you can see
870s you cannot see almost all the entrances
872s from this one spot so it's very
874s it's a very key position to control this
876s compound and when you then come in from
877s the north
879s even if you do want to just go down and
881s face the team that is holding the bounty
883s you have to face the other team first to
884s get there so now this one allows you to
886s just
887s ignore the other team go down get the
889s bounty which is what i like what i
891s prefer i just i go down i get the bounty
894s from that team and then i fight the team
895s upstairs so
897s it's just it's just a bit cleaner this
899s way it's what we felt like some chat has
902s been asking you like what do you have
903s against letters uh why is it just stairs
905s now
908s but no like i i think this is really
910s cool but letters are a bit dangerous
912s sometimes you know
913s items are a bit dangerous and as much i
915s have no problem with letters i know um i
918s know some people have been asking me to
919s make a compound just built from letters
921s nothing else
925s um made a big request area sounds fun
928s letter land um
930s yeah i do prefer stairs though i'm sorry
933s stairs are you can put traps on stairs
936s so they they ever use
938s uh but yeah that's it for uh the first
941s map so stillwater bayou
943s and we have some uh changes to the other
944s maps as well so let's uh take a short
947s look at blossom delta with lumber and
949s salters pork
951s so
951s let's look at lumber first
953s yeah lumber is a small one salted pork
956s is a big one but lumber you know this
957s little drop down you can barely see it
960s here it's where the letter now is but in
961s the before it's
963s you barely even see it but this was
964s actually a one-way drop to get out of
966s the boss bit into this little area
967s underneath
969s uh i personally used it when i was down
971s there to throw nades up there because
973s nobody ever expects them um
975s which you can still do but people maybe
977s are more aware of it now and you have
979s this letter now just
981s as um
983s how you say you know since we're
985s removing letters everywhere and putting
987s stairs you know
988s you have to balance it a bit later
991s so there you go talking of letters
994s here's another one
996s yeah that's not that's the same as the
997s same much as from the other angle yeah
1000s so this is this is what it looks like
1001s down there now so you have the slider
1003s with a bit of cover behind it so again
1004s you don't get shot from from
1006s the water side while you climb up
1008s and you can use that now to have a
1011s sneaky way into the boss pit without
1013s having to go outside and get to the
1015s ramps and such because
1016s it's easy to get down into this room but
1018s then it's super hard to get to into the
1020s actual boss pit you have to take long
1022s detours
1023s and this one could be your shortcut
1025s basically unless you take the elevator
1027s but it's
1028s it could be a death trap as well like
1030s it's a pretty risky approach once i
1033s tried to sand down a sticky bomb in the
1035s elevator but i also got stuck in the
1037s elevator so i'm done with it
1040s nice yeah
1041s just fun fact okay uh let's look at
1044s salter's pork and which uh we have some
1046s bigger changes actually some really big
1048s changes
1054s we all know and love the situation three
1057s teams in the corner and soldiers middle
1059s team
1060s i mean we've already reworked this area
1062s once
1063s it used to be super open and then we we
1065s drew in this fence there we gave a bit
1067s more cover options left and right and
1070s made it a bit more bearable for the
1071s middle team but now
1073s we've added this tunnel which takes into
1075s the side building basically and what it
1077s what it allows you to do now is say you
1079s if you don't want to take part in the
1081s spawn fight and you can just take the
1083s spawn fight into the compound you could
1084s just without even
1087s showing yourself on the road for these
1089s other two teams you can just run
1090s straight through the tunnel into the
1092s side building and then you're in a
1093s really um advantageous position i would
1096s say for this bone fight because you're
1098s already in the compound you've got all
1099s the resupplies there
1101s you know
1102s you got the cover the building
1104s so
1105s that's that's what is also for escaping
1107s maybe if you manage to get your way into
1109s this into the side building you can use
1112s the tunnel as
1114s a little way to not having to cross the
1116s road but it's more for the spawn fight
1118s situation it's not really uh
1121s super useful i guess for escaping but
1124s for this spawn situation it's really
1125s good if you just want to
1127s slide in real quick you know
1129s get into that side building and then not
1131s having to worry about north and south
1133s teams
1134s i feel like also just from a thematic
1136s aspect it's like really cool like uh
1138s with the minds open it's like kind of a
1140s theme of having tunnels now and new
1142s entrances so that's really cool yeah
1147s well that's an awesome change and uh
1149s yeah so let's talk about the dassault as
1151s last obviously we already showed you
1153s kingston mine in the beginning so the
1155s mines are open so we won't show that
1157s once again but let's take a look at fort
1159s bolden
1162s yeah
1164s so we've done some changes here that are
1166s mainly thematically just this old bridge
1170s it didn't really
1172s fit the fort so this one
1175s this one is a lot more in line with the
1178s whole aesthetic of fort bolden right
1181s it's um it still offers plenty of
1183s options cover you can you even have some
1186s letters on the side of this i don't know
1188s if you'll be able to see him on the
1190s screenshots but
1191s for all your letter lovers uh you can
1194s see it on this one actually yeah
1196s oh yeah okay oh yeah you can right there
1198s yeah so
1200s basically
1201s um changing the theme up a bit and just
1203s this entire area has been cleaned up a
1205s bit it was kind of unpolished before and
1208s it's now better pathing better leading
1211s and thematically just more fitting and
1213s it all really ties into this
1216s civil war kind of ford
1218s wooden fort theme also here this bridge
1221s was really it felt really
1224s i felt too open so we're trying not to
1228s overdo it but to add some cover give you
1230s some options when you go over the bridge
1232s you know you have some you get shot you
1233s have some stuff to
1234s cover be take cover behind heal up drop
1237s down
1238s uh approach maybe from the forest but
1240s it's just it doesn't it's not this super
1242s open suicidal route that you avoid to
1244s begin with anymore
1246s and then we have some on the surrounding
1248s area too
1250s right here when you come from the spawn
1252s there was always this little
1254s water thing there that you could just
1256s completely avoid or jump over and now
1257s it's just it's just visually more
1260s appealing
1261s better leading and basically a clean up
1264s on the vegetation and
1267s all the surroundings there
1269s yeah it looks very aesthetically
1270s pleasing i gotta admit really cool
1274s and obviously there's some smaller
1275s changes around the same area as well but
1277s please test it out on the test servers
1279s and look around what other things have
1281s been changed
1282s but
1284s not we didn't just change some compounds
1286s but we actually made some improvements
1288s uh to the spawn points
1291s so we have added multiple new spawn
1294s points in the sal
1296s they will be available now and we will
1297s show that you in a second on some
1299s pictures
1300s and uh maybe you want to explain what
1303s this exactly means what was the
1305s systematic change we did
1308s so we have a minimum distance between
1310s spawn points where teams are allowed to
1313s spawn now
1315s basically what this means is it's
1317s primarily for the spawns on the cell
1319s where oftentimes especially in the west
1322s there was a lot of very
1324s clutch spawns with three or four teams
1327s basically right next to each other
1329s shoulder to shoulder and it caused a lot
1331s of frustration especially since the area
1333s is generally a bit more open
1336s you can see here a bit the spawns that
1338s we have on the cell this is from hunt
1340s map
1341s and a little bit the distances and you
1344s can see
1345s the situation on the west already and
1347s with this new system basically if you
1349s want to switch the next slides it's only
1351s every other spawn can be active with
1354s this scenario right now so
1356s you can see um
1359s that the ones in kingsnake mine
1361s you they they are still active it's not
1363s that it's always every other but if they
1366s can't have a minimum distance between
1369s them then the one spawn cancels the next
1371s one out
1373s basically that's what it is
1375s um so
1376s in this west western dissolve situation
1379s this is some constellations what it
1381s could look like right only these bonds
1383s could be active together at a time so
1385s you don't get these massive big
1388s spawn fights anymore you still get
1391s actually this change just real quick as
1393s a note uh to not cause any confusion
1396s here it does not affect
1398s um what was the official names
1401s still what's up stillwater bayou and uh
1404s yeah right it doesn't affect any spawns
1407s there you still get your triple spawn
1409s and salters you still get your triple
1410s spawn and devant the distance is set to
1413s a value where it does not affect these
1415s two maps it's only really specifically
1418s set to combat the issue we have on the
1421s cell on the west and east you can also
1423s see in the east a lot of spawns being
1424s really close to each other
1426s so we
1427s like we like spawn fights don't don't
1429s get me wrong i like spawn fights
1432s but they have to be fair
1434s um
1435s and they have to follow a certain rule
1437s set and this is basically our
1439s next step in um
1441s assuring that rused
1444s and then what this system also allowed
1446s us is that you can see on this slide
1448s so i just drew in some colors in there
1450s real quick is heritage pork only really
1453s had one spawn for it and now we could
1456s actually add two more so the green ones
1458s are three new spawns that we added there
1460s the blue one is just the one from the
1462s corner up there that i moved a bit
1464s closer and the the red ones basically
1466s are removed so
1468s we were able to add three new sponsor
1470s one is specifically more for pearl
1472s and two for them for heritage pork and
1476s they're now with this new system
1478s basically the new system makes it that
1480s these spawns are not problematic because
1482s otherwise they would be way too close if
1484s they wouldn't cancel each other out out
1486s there would be way too close and this is
1487s only a first
1488s set
1489s of spawn points that we introduced with
1491s this new system that we have
1494s um
1495s we're looking at
1496s also the other maps and also other spawn
1498s points on this map
1500s but also on the old maps we're looking
1502s at new locations that this new system
1504s now would allow us to put spawn points
1506s in and
1508s yeah this is something
1509s we are currently looking at for the next
1512s bigger update yeah and before we look at
1514s the three new spawn points uh some
1516s people said like oh but they love spawn
1518s fights we also love spam fights even if
1521s it's like three teams but uh sometimes
1523s they were not fair like on the west side
1525s on some of the west side of nassau so we
1527s just want to make sure that they are
1528s fair
1529s uh that was the main goal with this
1531s change so uh right
1533s yeah stoma already mentioned this but i
1535s still get them yeah you still get the
1537s blanched ones ellen and sun's fish
1539s although i hate this one actually
1542s they're still there they're not changed
1544s uh salted pork really good one devon
1547s really good one they still happen uh
1549s catfish still happens nothing nothing
1551s has been changed there it's really this
1553s change really only affects the west and
1555s east
1557s on the sun a little bit of the spawn
1558s points in the south as well i believe
1560s but it's mainly for it only affects
1562s dissolve right now but it allows us to
1564s add more spawn points also to the other
1566s maps
1567s in locations where they would have been
1569s too close to others uh with the old
1571s system but with the new system and they
1573s cancelling the next one over out
1575s basically we can put two spawns right
1577s next to each other and just have a
1578s little bit of a variation
1580s between them
1582s and the new system would never allow to
1584s be for both of them to be active at the
1586s same time so it would take either or and
1588s this is really cool for us to
1590s to shake up the whole spawn point
1592s situation a little bit
1594s because it can make a difference even if
1595s it's just
1596s 10 meters this way and look in another
1598s direction it can already make you want
1600s to go to this compound rather than to
1602s that one that you'd always go to from
1604s that spawn position so uh right it
1606s allows us to do some cool stuff when you
1608s play a lot you get so used to some of
1610s the pawn points so i think it's really
1611s cool to see new ones and yeah let's take
1613s a look at the three new that we've added
1616s so this is one of these
1618s these are the heritage pork ones so this
1620s one is basically the one it's kind of
1623s already been there but it's been moved
1624s more towards heritage park now you can
1626s still go if you go to the left from
1628s where this camera is looking right now
1630s you're in pearl plantation so you can
1632s still choose but i think there's more of
1634s an incentive to go to heritage park from
1637s here
1638s here's the other park it would be
1641s this this one could be active at the
1644s same time as the one as we've seen
1645s before so these two would so basically
1647s the one we've seen before would arrive
1650s at the watch tower roughly at the same
1652s time that this spawn point would arrive
1654s at this little barn so you get this nice
1656s spawn fight over the fields back there
1659s between the two buildings
1661s uh which which i thought would would be
1663s really interesting so again like this
1666s one taking it more towards there and
1667s then this one is the one i moved more
1669s towards pearl plantation
1671s a very pretty dedicated power plantation
1673s spawn nothing much to say there
1677s yeah
