801s little bit different uh a nice stream
803s for you today but uh it's not going to
805s follow the usual pattern that we do

822s coming to hunt and uh since you guys all
824s seen this cool new trailer uh we have
826s been teasing you on social media for a
828s few weeks now or days uh this is called
831s the beauty of hunt and it's just an
832s awesome little trailer showing off

900s beginning today we will have a developer
902s update stream and uh this will be
904s slightly different because we're gonna
907s look slightly into the future uh on the
910s near future and what's coming to hunt

914s yeah so normally like with the dead
916s streams we normally have them very patch
918s focused um you know we kind of go into
920s in depth on specific details of every
922s page that we release and we're kind of
924s thinking maybe something to do a little
925s bit uh do something a little bit
927s different this year um and we want to
929s try and
930s do dev streams are a bit more focused on
932s the actual development process with hunt
934s and what's actually coming uh for the
936s rest of this year so this is going to be
938s the first in a series of these streams
940s right at this point in time we're just
941s guys we're just going to give you guys
943s an overview of what's going to be coming
944s like over the next six months just some
946s highlights not not
948s every little thing but just a couple of
950s things that you guys can kind of look
951s forward to
952s um and then as we get closer to these uh
956s these new uh things coming out we'll
958s have other developer live streams that
960s will go in depth with the departments
962s that actually created them so we like i
964s said we want to do a bit more of a focus
966s on the development aspect of things keep
969s you guys a little bit more and be a lot
970s more transparent with what's going on
972s and
973s so this time around like we said we're
974s just going to go into updates as to
976s what's what you guys can expect um so
978s it's just us for today um so all the
981s devs can relax dennis can take it easy
983s for the evening and for somebody who
984s said dennis for one somebody wants
986s dennis proof of life he is alive he's
988s just very very busy so um but yeah so
991s yeah with that i guess we can kind of
993s get onto it and kind of get it yeah the
995s last thing uh i wanted to add to what
997s rick said is uh as you guys know we
999s already promised that we'll have a blog
1000s and video released uh on this topic
1003s basically which will happen it's already
1005s in the works it will come actually very
1007s soon but we also wanted to do a stream
1009s to talk to you guys even earlier than
1011s that because i know you guys have been
1013s waiting for that so
1014s here we go and uh yes uh
1017s i just wanted to outline what we gonna
1019s be talking about today
1021s uh the topics at least so obviously
1023s update 1.08 right now on the test
1026s servers we'll go through the highlights
1028s of the update
1029s uh then we'll have a very important
1031s topic uh related to the service side
1033s work of funds that we've been working on
1036s uh an upcoming event we will briefly
1040s mention we cannot give out all the
1041s details just yet but
1043s yeah just to talk to you guys about it a
1045s bit uh the early plans for our q2 of
1048s this year
1049s and also with that the mid-term
1052s highlights so uh mid end of q2 as well
1056s as early q3 a bit so you guys will get
1059s an info on a lot of things this stream
1060s these are just highlights as rick
1062s mentioned not like every single thing we
1064s are releasing but we wanted to keep you
1066s guys in the loop more and let you know
1067s what is coming to the game
1069s yeah we're still working on the more
1071s detailed plans of what's going to be
1072s coming from update to update but we at
1074s least wanted to give you guys a little
1076s bit of insight as to what is actually
1077s coming up ahead for the next few months
1080s so
1081s i think the first thing
1082s is update 1.8 so pence you mentioned
1086s it's already on the test server
1088s so
1089s everybody
1090s get on the test server we really this
1092s test is very very important to us for a
1094s couple of reasons okay so first off as
1096s you can see you know we're doing a bit
1097s of focus on the service improvements so
1100s um this is coming down to like client
1103s side and server side fixes
1105s we
1106s you know we basically just we we
1108s understand that there's a lot going on
1110s um there's people who've been having
1112s problems since update 1.7 so
1114s we're basically the next couple of
1116s months we're going to be laying the
1118s groundwork for the future
1119s so
1120s with this update at one point in
1122s particular we've added two things from
1124s both uh well i won't say two things but
1126s with a couple of things both from the
1127s server side and the client side that is
1129s hopefully going to help uh improve
1132s uh performance for some of you yeah and
1135s uh yeah just just wanted to say that
1137s we'll go into detail on both of those in
1140s a bit but uh first we just wanted to
1142s highlight that that this patch uh
1144s obviously we still have a lot of cool
1146s stuff in it but it is more focused on
1148s the service side as well compared to the
1150s usual one point
1152s for 1.5 1.6 updates so yeah

1156s yeah normally our big updates the the
1159s one point whatever they normally come
1161s our very content driven updates and this
1163s time around we really felt that we
1165s needed to put a focus on the actual
1167s service side of things so that's why
1169s you'll notice um
1170s it you notice that most of this is
1173s just about the around the server and
1175s client-side
1176s improvements
1177s yeah and then in a few slides we'll come
1179s back to these in more detail but uh
1181s first we wanted to show you all the
1182s other stuff in the update because this
1184s is a bigger topic so we will uh
1187s have some separate slides for both the
1188s service side and the client side uh
1190s changes as well
1191s so
1193s it's a big topic i think
1195s yes so
1197s one big big point of and and it was
1200s something i saw pop-up a lot on the chat
1202s while you guys were waiting for us to
1204s join
1205s cane changes
1207s so
1208s you guys have been asking for this for
1210s quite a while and believe me when i say
1213s we have heard your feedback okay um we
1216s we understood
1218s you know we we this is the i think the
1220s second change we actually made overall
1222s to kane because
1223s based on the feedback that you guys have
1225s given us
1226s and we do understand that kane was able
1229s to hide a little bit too well so
1233s we are bringing some changes with 1.8
1235s and the changes to kane are
1237s currently
1238s on the test server so if you want to go
1241s and see and give us feedback and make
1243s sure that it actually is
1245s working um the way we want it to now
1248s make sure you go into the test server um
1251s but on top of this we're also going to
1252s be keeping in mind
1254s what's happened with kane when we're
1255s going forward with our our new skins um
1259s and on top of that as well we're also
1261s looking at uh some of the previous skins
1263s to see if there is anything that we can
1265s do in the same regard if there are any
1266s that have
1267s anything similar and we'll get to the
1269s pictures in a second um and yeah so
1273s that's the main point we guys we very
1275s much we have listened to your feedback
1276s so thank you very much for being vocal
1278s about things like this this is this
1280s helps us a lot the more we hear from you
1283s the better we can act on stuff so we
1286s have
1286s sorry it has taken so long but
1289s these things do take a little bit of
1290s time um but yeah again make sure to go
1293s on the test servers it is there now so
1296s please please go on download it unfor it
1299s is a full download keep that in mind but
1302s it's very important that you guys test
1303s it out first yeah and since everyone has
1305s been asking for pictures of course we
1307s have some pictures for you so
1309s let's just take a look so this will be
1311s the before the changes came that you are
1313s all familiar with so if you can even see
1316s him on the screen
1317s but yeah and then
1321s and then here is the new one uh as you
1324s guys can see it's uh
1325s it's quite a bit of change to him
1327s actually so uh
1329s it's more of a skin colored skin less
1331s dirt so less blending into the
1332s environment also the white parts are a
1335s bit more highlighted so i i think
1337s overall you guys will be pretty happy
1339s with it but as rick mentioned please
1340s also test it out on the test server and
1342s if you have any more feedback let us
1343s know how you feel about it
1345s yes definitely it's uh and we have a
1348s guest with us here um so yeah definitely
1351s it's look it's really really important
1352s to us that we get your feedback on this
1354s so by all means make sure um the main
1356s thing from the art design side of it was
1359s that we wanted to ensure that kane
1360s didn't blend in with the environment as
1362s well but obviously still not take too
1364s much from the aesthetic that he has so
1367s like pencil mentioned you can see the
1368s skin tone is kind of adjusted it's a lot
1370s more skin like uh less dirt um so yeah
1374s we think it's we think it's a really
1376s good step our team are happy with the
1378s you know so um
1380s get in there check it out let us know
1383s yeah and i actually have an example in
1385s game as well because obviously the time
1387s of days matter a lot and how the light
1389s uh reflects on the hunters so uh here
1392s you can see it in i think it's the
1393s natural time of day uh where oh he has a
1397s creepy face but uh yeah so on the left
1399s side you can see how it is uh in 1.8
1402s after the changes and how it was before
1404s so yeah again you can see way more skin
1407s the white parts are more highlighted uh
1409s and he's just more visible overall so i
1412s i think me personally i'm very happy
1413s with the changes but yeah let us know
1416s how you guys feel as well
1418s again it's it the best thing to do is go
1420s and actually check it out you test it
1421s out with your friends uh or you know
1424s even against enemies um up on the test
1426s server you should be able to be able to
1428s access it so that is the best way for us
1430s to know if this is different so um yes

1439s and uh actually this is not the only
1441s change related characters we have in
1443s this update uh i think we mentioned
1446s late last year on just on social media
1449s that we are in the process of reworking
1452s a lot of old legendary hunters in the
1454s first person camera view so what you see
1457s when you're playing as them and with
1459s this update they are here
1461s so uh the older legendaries will be
1463s consistent with all the newer ones since
1466s then and
1467s it's it's 13 hunters in total revered uh
1470s with this update
1472s so uh rick uh here's the list for you
1475s yeah okay so basically we'll just just
1478s explain a little bit what we've done
1479s here is the
1480s we wanted to all of the newer hunters
1482s and anything in the last year so they
1484s had very specific first-person views so
1487s when you're holding the weapon they have
1488s very specific things their arms sleeves
1490s and everything like that they they fit
1492s the characters so this is something that
1494s um we have fixed on the 13 that are
1497s mentioned here so bone doctor blackhole
1499s lerona's hair mountain man marshall
1500s ripper knight acolyte knight seer
1502s researcher ronan reverend red shirt
1504s sheriff harden and the rat
1505s can't believe i got a lot without making
1507s a mistake um
1509s yeah so we have
1512s finished these off so now
1514s they these hunters previously had some
1517s different tier three uh arms and hands
1520s and everything like that so
1522s um yeah we just again
1524s it's more of a like i said it's a
1526s consistency pass with the art team the
1527s animations and everything like that so
1529s this is something that we're bringing in
1531s and i think
1532s we have a couple of
1534s uh things to show yeah we have two
1536s examples because we didn't want to
1537s reveal all
1538s but also just as a small note that also
1541s some of these hunters like the hands and
1543s stuff have been slightly revoked in
1544s third person as well but those are more
1546s minor changes so you may see that like
1549s that tattoo is different or something
1550s like that on a few hunters but uh the
1552s biggest difference in first person when
1554s you are playing as them and they as rick
1556s mentioned let's see
1558s uh
1558s an example with black coat
1560s so
1561s the first image how he was before this
1564s update or is right now on live
1566s uh as you can see his hand is basically
1568s just a tier three hunter hand
1571s and uh and you can see his code yeah i
1574s mean all the hunters are cool but you
1576s can't see his coat and uh
1578s you wouldn't know that it's uh the black
1580s coat
1580s but now
1583s there he is
1584s so updated his tattoos you can see the
1587s the ring and the more tattoos on the
1589s fingers and the sleeve as well so now
1591s you can actually tell it's the black
1593s hole
1594s exactly i think it's very cool and uh it
1596s will give more immersion with playing as
1598s the legendary hunter as well
1600s for all the roleplaying people out there
1602s so
1603s yes very cool
1607s researcher yeah
1609s so again this is the old
1611s one and
1614s i think we've all seen those arms on
1616s somebody else before anyway so
1619s and a new one so you can see his watch
1621s uh his shirt and everything so
1625s yeah it's definitely a lot more fitting
1627s to what you actually see you know um
1630s so you know like again i do shout outs
1633s in this you know shout out to the art
1634s guys animation guys for getting all this
1637s um sorted on the older hunters you know
1640s it's something that's popped up from
1641s time to time it but
1644s just it makes things look that little
1646s bit better you know
1647s so
1649s huge shout out to those guys so yeah but
1651s guys if you see the rest of them they're
1653s all on test server i'm going to be
1654s saying that a lot this stream just to
1657s warn you on heads up so should get a b
1659s get a command for you know test yes it's
1662s on the test server right now so
1664s but yeah so it's a really nice touch um
1666s and like we said 13 more um so yeah
1669s that's 30 total yeah so 13 and 12. yes
1672s not 13 more apparently i can't count
1675s so yeah just check them all out i think
1677s it's a lot of fun and
1678s it's actually a cool change overall so
1681s yeah let us know how you like these but
1683s i i can't imagine uh anyone saying they
1686s don't like these changes so i'm really
1688s happy to see them weird yeah yeah
1691s now let's see another thing that uh is
1694s basically finalizing a whole
1697s content pack in the game which is the
1699s new tier 2 lobby animations
1702s yep so we previously have added the
1705s legendary then some of the tier 1 and
1707s tier 3 lobby animations and our eye team
1710s and the guys have been working on it for
1712s quite a while on the animation team so
1714s we decided to
1715s finish it off so we've added some new
1718s animations for the tier 2 hunters so now
1719s it basically just finishes off the whole
1721s set completely so
1723s the the whole point of this is like we
1725s wanted to have the home screen just be a
1728s little bit more
1729s active uh a little bit less static that
1731s you're just looking at a page that
1733s nothing happens on and we wanted to just
1734s spruce it up and give it a bit something
1736s interesting you know um so that's what
1740s the animations were for as whole and
1742s yeah we just wanted to finish it off so
1744s we've added some new ones you can go and
1745s check him out on the test server
1748s um um and now it means that uh every
1751s hunter in the uh roster now has one of
1754s these animations so we hope you like
1756s them
1757s exactly and uh we actually have a small
1759s video to show some of it off uh the
1761s video will show the progression uh with
1762s same weapons from tier one to tier three
1765s and at the end obviously the signature
1766s moves for all not all like some of the
1769s legendary hunters because it's just a
1770s cool little video but yeah uh let's take

1840s little progression between tier one and
1842s tier three uh with all the weapons in
1844s game so uh check them out it's really
1846s cool to see how like the better hunters
1849s also like do cooler moves with the
1851s weapons i think so it's a lot of fun
1853s yeah it's really awesome
1855s but yeah so just look we know it's a
1857s little thing um we know that some people
1859s probably aren't so bothered what we
1861s think they're pretty cool we think it
1863s does a lot for the lobby screen and the
1864s roster screen so yeah there they are
1867s yeah and uh again let's just shout out
1869s that animation team because they did a
1871s great work on this so uh absolutely
1874s awesome
1875s so yeah well next uh the next topic
1878s anyway so as uh anyone who has actually
1881s checked out the test server go play test
1883s server um
1885s uh or you know maybe you've had a quick
1887s look at the patch notes you may have
1889s noticed a couple of new additions so
1893s yeah
1894s so there are two new weapons and two new
1897s variants coming
1899s and we have
1901s them currently available on the servers
1904s now who
1905s thought such a shocker that i said that
1907s you know i thought i was going to think
1908s that
1909s so the thing with these weapons we want
1911s to kind of be very very clear on they
1913s are not coming to
1916s live with 1.8 so yes they are part of
1919s the test aspect of 1.8 but you are not
1922s going to see them come with the release
1924s of 1.8 we have other plans for the west
1929s we're not going to go into details on it
1931s just yet
1933s um but
1935s we do need to test them
1937s before they are introduced and that is
1939s why we've put them on the test server uh
1941s at right now
1943s we need to make sure that we get as many
1945s people on a test and testing out these
1947s weapons so that we can get the required
1949s data we need to be able to ensure that
1951s we can balance these effectively before
1953s they come to
1955s um the live servers
1956s and as i said
1958s they won't be available with 1.8 on live
1962s so if you want to try them out now best
1964s place to do it is on the test
1967s yeah it's a lot of suspense around these
1969s i didn't even mention the names of them
1971s on the slide because uh go there and
1973s check it out for yourself it's exciting
1975s and they will still come pretty soon but
1978s not with one point
1979s but not with 1.8 and yeah we are i'm not
1982s going to lie we are purposely not
1983s putting the names here because we want
1985s you to go and find out for yourself it's
1987s not
1988s it's a clever ploy to try and get you to
1989s play the test server but in general no
1992s we do like we said we do actually need
1993s as many tests as we can on this time
1995s around just we need that input we need
1998s that feedback we need that data so
2000s please
2001s server yeah so test uh make sure to test
2004s the weapons out and let us know how you
2005s like them uh we really need all the
2007s feedback regarding these because
2009s obviously it's it's a big addition to
2011s the game and we have to know how you
2013s guys like it
2014s i may have inadvertently started a
2016s drinking game with the whole every time
2018s i say test server someone takes a shot
2020s because if someone has done so far
2021s they're probably dead
2023s yeah
2024s yeah i've done that in like 20 minutes

2028s okay so okay so let's move on
2030s we'll have before we move on we'll have
2032s a more in-depth dive into
2034s those
2035s uh new weapons and new variants uh in
2038s another dev stream so keep an eye out
2039s for that um but
2041s um test server yeah that's sure
2044s yeah uh that's two more shots so uh
2047s with 1.8 we do have a lot of level
2050s changes uh we uh collected a few bigger
2053s ones for you guys uh from four different
2056s compounds and uh unfortunately uh we did
2059s want to have a level uh designer on
2061s stream but they got you know
2063s unfortunately this week so
2065s shout out to tom yeah apparently sick
2067s everyone wish tom get well you miss you
2069s dude
2070s i'm sorry you couldn't be on
2073s talk us through the
2075s the awesomeness that your team has done
2076s um we will try and do our best to to
2079s showcase it as best as we can um
2082s obviously we're definitely not going to
2083s be able to do as good a job as the level
2084s designers to tell us um but again get
2087s well tom
2088s um and
2089s please don't hate us
2091s so
2092s yeah but we do have cool pictures to
2094s show you guys and the the changes are
2096s very nice so uh i i don't think there
2098s will be a program so let's start off
2100s with the reeves quarry which is uh the
2102s first area that uh had a smaller art
2105s pass overall uh we added some more
2108s details to uh the whole area on the
2111s rocks and the
2112s around them uh we also removed some
2114s trees
2115s and create a better line of sights yeah
2118s so this is the old one
2120s yeah i just wanted to uh sum it up so
2123s yeah so this is how it was on live and
2125s uh
2127s yeah as i mentioned for in this example
2129s we remove some trees uh
2132s and uh yeah it creates a better line of
2135s sight in that area with the little rocky
2138s part in the middle
2141s nice nice freaking kids a bit a bit more
2144s line of sight
2146s yeah there's the second example which is
2148s also a similar change
2152s so uh there's like this uh huge block of
2155s trees and the big rock in the middle now
2157s it has been slightly replaced with like
2158s a smaller
2160s yeah and and what we got from level is
2162s that we the rule of these streams is the
2164s trees
2165s the removal of these trees is to give a
2167s better line of sight towards the boss
2169s building itself
2170s so
2172s yeah this is for anyone that is
2174s interested in the reasoning behind it so
2176s um
2176s you know go in check it out let us know
2178s what you think
2180s yeah it will probably give some options
2182s for other play styles then you're used
2184s to on uh the cell
2186s so just let us know how you like it as
2188s well yeah so this is uh
2190s the main road like the old version
2193s towards the uh supply
2195s wagon and this is the new one so the big
2197s change is on the right side of the image
2200s yeah
2201s which is
2202s taking out a big chunk of the trees and
2204s kind of relying a little bit more on on
2206s the rocks
2207s and that so it looks it's pretty clean
2210s i have to say
2212s yeah
2213s and there also has been like smaller art
2215s passes so if you guys look at the logs
2217s on the floor and the smaller ss they
2219s have been updated in some cases as well
2222s and and obviously it's it's hard for
2223s images still images to do it justice you
2226s know so
2227s um it's it's definitely something you
2228s guys want to go in and actually try out
2230s for yourselves

2234s yeah so there's another example at the
2236s little uh river
2238s or behind the river i think this is like
2240s the same rock that we looked at before
2242s but like from a back angle
2245s so this way you can see the whole size
2248s side of it
2254s i think this will make a nice difference
2256s to to the area so you know
2258s but everyone can go and check it out for
2260s themselves and see what they think
2263s yeah uh
2264s the second uh area that got the bigger
2266s changes is the lower the south so we are
2268s still on the cell
2270s and
2271s here the main focus was also like an
2273s overall art pass
2275s and also
2277s working on the train tracks uh to uh
2280s let's just me read what they said to
2282s make them fit visually better
2285s and this is like a continuous work that
2287s they are still working in and this is
2288s still in progress so this will also
2290s change in the future uh on the picture
2293s what you see now is how currently it is
2295s uh
2296s obviously at the train part when you're
2298s entering lower the saw
2300s and uh
2301s here you can more uh see uh some changes
2304s on the art style like how the grass has
2306s been changed uh the rock of obviously
2308s the big mountains are not big but like
2310s the rocky side uh has been removed as
2313s well and uh
2316s other smaller changes like the location
2318s of the lamp
2320s and
2321s there's actually a little bit of a
2323s rework to touch up overall you know
2327s exactly and uh so this is also basically
2329s the same area but from a further angle
2333s when you are entering from the reverse
2334s side
2338s here you can
2339s see the changes again so a bit more
2342s aside from the sas station overall
2345s uh
2346s and the
2347s last site from the train side actually
2349s so it has been changed up a bit
2352s yeah it just feels a bit cleaner really
2354s kind of the best way to describe it i
2355s just did it yeah
2356s the area up a lot more
2359s then the uh third image from this uh
2361s obviously this again the train station
2363s but from
2364s uh behind the train station i i suppose
2367s so
2369s uh you can see that it it has been
2371s changed a lot as well actually like the
2374s there like there's a new uh
2376s car
2377s yeah exactly a new cart and also like a
2379s little fence on the side
2382s so
2383s uh and it just looks nicer in my opinion
2386s to be honest like
2387s so yeah
2388s but i said the level design guys would
2390s definitely be able to do these fireball
2391s justice that we can but we just wanted
2393s to make sure that we gave you guys a
2394s little look at it for you know in case
2396s you did it it sparks your interest in
2398s going to the test server trying it out
2400s you know
2402s yeah so these were the main highlights
2404s for the sal but we have changes on the
2406s other maps too uh

2435s moses we've actually made some
2436s improvements to it so it's not been
2438s removed entirely but we have made the
2441s spawn now closer to the rocks so that
2443s the moment you start you actually have
2445s initial cover from the get-go um so just
2449s for somebody who asked me about the
2450s spawn point moses that is just
2453s uh that is the answer for you we have
2454s updated that with um the uh with updates
2458s so yes
2460s yes cyprus not cyprus sorry that's my
2462s but uh we do have internal either we
2464s have internal names for some compounds
2466s and they are usually very similar to
2468s their reliefs but
2470s they first so if you were listening to
2471s cypress hill and that's what you were
2472s doing that's where you wrote it yeah
2474s it's totally it's totally not our
2476s internal name for cyprus yeah
2479s uh but again so this compound actually
2481s seen a lot of changes in my opinion yeah
2484s so it's it's it's kind of in the in the
2485s notes it's kind of classed as a little
2487s bit of a rework um in the sense of what
2489s we've done with it i mean honestly out
2492s of all of the changes this one is
2493s probably the very most obvious that you
2495s will notice so
2497s yeah so uh
2498s yeah again just to uh phrase what level
2501s design passed on to us uh oh again an
2504s overall artwork uh reverse slightly on
2506s the whole compound and uh there was a
2509s big focus on uh creating more cover in
2511s the water area uh maybe it can go uh
2515s alongside the changes like you've seen
2517s at uh scupper lake obviously not to that
2519s extent but let's just look at it so
2523s wow
2524s yeah that is
2527s no word other word other than wow
2530s that is a
2531s big change um so i mean as you can see
2534s like a complete wall of cover
2537s and the wall is quite high as well
2539s so
2540s um definitely like i mean some
2542s significant changes and very well
2544s thought out ones i feel from the the
2547s level of the team
2548s um yeah and then uh we can i think we
2551s can enjoy the next one yeah just this
2553s one uh the platform where you enter is
2555s also wider than it used to be
2557s and uh yeah and there's rick also
2559s already mentioned the there has been the
2562s the fans added on the south uh
2565s side south and west side of the compound
2567s as well
2569s and yeah let's just take an uh look from
2571s different angles as well
2572s so obviously this is the back side very
2574s uh where the meter usually works around
2576s yeah where the

2581s a lot more cover
2583s um so the carriage instead of the the
2586s links of wood the cage has been moved
2588s further up
2590s um directly beneath that uh that ladder
2593s um and yeah just in general just
2595s providing a lot a lot more cleaner and
2598s better sight lines with the cover that's
2600s there you know
2602s yeah the door cage has been moved uh
2604s forward slightly and yeah the arc pass
2606s is actually very visible here that like
2608s uh some of the assets are like better
2611s looking
2612s yeah for sure
2614s yeah uh we also have a third angle so
2617s you guys can see the water area so
2622s yeah
2623s so again another
2625s another change see the far off wall
2628s again so provide an extra cover
2630s a little entry point in there from there
2632s as well um i mean
2634s that's you know it's a good point of
2636s entry but it's also one you have to kind
2638s of be very careful of i feel you know
2639s that's a
2641s very good place to get
2642s one tapped as soon as you walk into it
2645s but yeah it's overall some like really
2647s amazing changes bringing receding back
2649s to water a little bit as well in certain
2650s areas just so that it's not just all
2652s over
2654s so yeah i mean yeah the sniper tower is
2656s right in the back and you basically have
2657s no cover from it when you walk through
2659s the water part so now you have like a
2661s whole wall and like other like logs and
2664s such
2665s where you can actually hide and you
2667s don't necessarily have to die instantly
2668s out there so yeah
2671s that water is no longer like a death
2673s sentence if somebody's in that tower
2675s you know so
2676s that's really cool
2678s really really cool work from the the
2679s design team i'm going to keep saying
2681s that repeatedly as we go through these
2682s images there's a few more but these guys
2684s are yeah they've done a great job
2687s i really think you can see kind of the
2688s changes that have come with this update
2690s and with some of the previous updates is
2692s how the guys are evolving their their
2694s style over time and how great it looks
2696s um so kudos to you guys
2699s yeah so these are just the images of
2701s from the crematorium side when you're
2702s coming from crematorium so the back of
2704s the compound i would say
2706s uh
2707s and here you also have a bit more cover
2710s basically with the card
2712s and some smaller changes as well
2715s so at least when you get inside you
2717s would want like
2719s i think a problem with uh how it was
2721s before is when you were outside this
2722s fence you basically had no cover from
2724s the second floor of the compound but but
2727s now you can actually break the line of
2729s sight here as well
2731s yeah it looks great just an extra bit of
2733s cover
2734s it'll help a lot
2736s yeah and uh
2738s the last uh compound that got a lot of
2741s changes actually like rick said he
2743s thinks um
2745s cyprus was the biggest but
2747s actually yeah now that i realized that
2748s you showed me this earlier and i'm like
2750s hang on no maybe actually this this is
2752s pretty huge also but before we go on
2754s though just to say this is not the uh
2756s these are not the only changes there are
2758s quite a lot across all of the maps and
2760s that's something as well that was
2761s actually coming with this update it's
2763s it's just a bit of a clean up on a lot
2764s of the the the compounds and everything
2766s across all maps so you'll notice
2769s these are not the only changes there are
2771s some extra ones we just kind of thought
2772s these were the coolest the biggest ones
2774s that would be you notice would be
2776s noticed and you know some of you are not
2778s going to jump into the test server right
2779s away but maybe showing you off the cool
2781s stuff might entice you to get it to the
2782s test server a little bit you never know
2785s and yeah i mean you'll definitely notice
2787s the changes here i think so
2789s big time big time this is brilliant when
2792s you showed me earlier i was like jaw
2793s hitting floor kind of this is insane but
2796s uh it's really really cool really really
2798s cool
2799s yeah so uh
2800s you're seeing one of the entrances into
2802s the compound underground
2804s and uh well it changed a bit
2808s it's just a smidge
2809s just a smidge
2812s so yeah yeah
2817s the term a picture says a thousand words
2819s comes to mind you know i mean it's it's
2822s a pretty pretty pretty significant
2824s change here you know

2827s yeah i'm just going back and forth
2829s before after because it's kind of
2830s mind-blowing uh

2835s really really awesome so
2837s so yeah basically for this compound a
2838s lot of the entrances have been revert
2840s and actually there is a new entrance as
2842s well which we'll show in a second and uh
2845s because we actually had a lot of
2847s requests from the community uh
2849s for the entrances for this compound
2851s because i think this was one of the
2853s hardest to
2854s properly like ambush to get it to get
2856s into the underground section and to get
2858s into you know a fight where you weren't
2860s going to be ambushed very quickly it was
2862s tough so we wanted to open up just a
2865s little bit more so that there's a bit
2867s more accessibility both from a defense
2869s and an offensive point of view you know
2873s yeah exactly and so this is another
2876s entrance you can see and
2878s yeah
2879s yeah i mean
2881s and
2883s the light shaft is really listening to
2884s this
2886s just opens it up a lot more
2889s like significantly so yeah
2893s i mean it's going to be chapel is going
2894s to be a very very interesting compound
2896s to be running around now
2898s um people that are familiar with it if
2900s you know it if you've been playing for
2901s thousands of hours like some of our
2903s streamers and partners you're going to
2904s know this like the back of your hand and
2906s this this changes things up a bit you
2909s know so enjoy and you know just just to
2912s advertise the test server a bit more go
2914s go to the test server try out the new
2916s compounds and then you have an advantage
2917s over all those people that didn't test

2985s ago i can't remember which update was it
2987s was exactly we have added the building
2989s where you can enter the compound again
2991s with the leather yes and uh yeah i think
2993s that area is what you see right now
2999s uh and then these are just the internal
3001s area there's the smaller changes here
3003s but still very noticeable
3005s so uh this is how it looks on live
3007s currently and this is test
3010s exactly so the biggest change we don't
3012s notice is the wall on the right side of
3014s the image which was like an open little
3017s doorway and now that is closed down
3022s then uh again like another internal part
3025s of the compound
3026s this is a bigger change so the wall has
3028s been reduced
3029s yeah this opens this place up so much um
3033s you know i mean i always found this
3034s really kind of the walls be you know
3036s helpful to hide but um sometimes a
3038s little too helpful you know so we can
3040s see here it's clearly like opened it up
3042s in a big way um so it should i feel it's
3045s going to make for some very very
3047s interesting fights down there now
3051s yeah and this is basically the again
3052s same but as you can see it's more open
3055s as recognition
3056s and the art pass on it as well i mean
3058s you see the attention to detail at the
3060s bottom of the ramp there and everything
3061s as well it's just it's
3063s yeah just
3064s trying to polish it up making things a
3066s bit cleaner and everything so
3070s and uh yeah again this is the internals
3072s uh
3074s yeah a lot more detail actually not that
3076s you mentioned it like a lot more smaller
3078s rocks and
3079s little objects moved around but
3081s there is actually okay so sorry there's
3083s one more entrance that you can see from
3084s a different angle
3086s now you can just see how
3088s it changed like it is completely it
3090s changes the whole thing so
3092s it's gonna be i think a lot of people
3093s are gonna have a lot of fun trying to
3095s relearn this uh this compound
3097s yeah people asking which compound it is
3100s a chapel so chapel of madonna noir

3111s nice coffin there as well now and as i
3114s see there's like a little uh hole in the
3116s wall where you may be able to climb

3135s would call this a main entrance which is
3136s usually always trapped so the one inside

3152s there's a change in here yeah a little
3154s bit opened up there you know there seems
3156s to be a hole there as well so
3159s um again i guess you guys are gonna have

3168s this is just an art style change for the
3171s uh two entrances that you can see so the
3173s little i don't even know what you would
3175s call them but uh mausoleums are built

3179s so they are like larger now a bit uh
3182s have some vegetation on top and
3184s i think also look cooler to be honest
3186s look more like a grave to be honest yeah

3189s uh well i mean that's what muslims are
3191s they are yeah so just fancy people grace

3195s and uh i think this is maybe the biggest
3198s change here

3201s there's a new entrance there's

3209s new entrance guys uh to the compound
3212s i mentioned it a bit earlier already but
3215s there you can see it so you'll be able

3229s things there's been a lot of lot a lot
3230s of what this update runs is like from
3232s the map side of things just brings an
3233s overall air pass i clean up everything

3268s goes to live
3269s you guys might notice the size of the
3271s update will probably be a little bit big

3274s the main reason is is that because the
3276s the bulk of the actual event is going to
3278s be included in the update itself
3281s so keep that in mind that we wanted to
3283s give you just some brief highlights of
3285s what's coming as well as let you know
3287s that we have a new event coming at the
3289s end of this month
3292s so like the bulk of it is inside the
3294s update but obviously you can't see it so
3296s it won't be accessible and we have some
3298s things we have to touch up and
3299s everything like that but a lot of what a
3301s lot of it is ready so we have it
3304s snuck in there with this update but we
3306s will let you know so that there's no
3308s kind of confusion as to why why is this
3310s a big update
3311s this is one of the reasons on top of the
3313s map changes on top of everything else

3827s but mainly this is important for when it

3833s yeah and uh yeah so in the beginning
3836s before we go into 1.8 i mentioned that
3838s we have a lot of back-end work in the
3840s update as well as well in the future and
3843s now we will talk about those separately
3845s so yes
3847s so yes so um
3849s look as everyone knows uh since 1.7
3852s we've kind of had some issues with
3854s performance um we've we've been
3855s listening to you guys about it and we've
3857s been doing what we can to investigate it
3859s uh so with 1.8 the when we said at the
3862s start we wanted to focus on it being a
3864s service update this is what we mean
3867s so
3867s we know performance is paramount uh you
3871s you know you need to you need good
3872s performance to be able to click heads
3874s that's really what it comes down to so
3876s we get it um so we've been digging into
3878s a couple of things um so in this
3880s instance we're going to talk about the
3882s server performance side of things
3884s so um the first thing we've done so
3887s there's three main things on the server
3889s side so we've improved the way
3891s the server side interacts with the
3894s physicalized entities in the world so
3896s when we say physicalize entities we mean
3898s like the ai the doors to change the
3900s interactable objects
3901s so
3902s essentially we've made sure that the
3904s cost of these of processing these on the
3906s server has been reduced
3908s and we're hoping then that that is going
3910s to take a bit more of a difference in
3912s terms of the server performance side of
3913s things
3915s from there then is all as well we also
3917s looked into the idle ai
3920s improvements so we noticed that the ai
3923s were um
3925s the the idle ai were actually causing
3927s spikes in performance on the server
3929s so what we've done is that
3931s basically they were using far more
3933s resources than we needed them to or
3935s should have so we've made some
3936s improvements to reduce that cost overall
3938s so when they're idle
3940s so one thing to kind of take from that
3942s is if they are idle they may be ever so
3944s slightly slower in reacting
3948s exactly uh sorry to just like uh so the
3951s the legendary weapons are available on
3953s tesseract for everyone just i need to
3955s make sure yeah good to know
3959s yeah uh do you want to mention the third
3960s part of this yeah so one one last thing
3963s is is that we there's there was a
3964s component that was actually going unused
3967s um on on the server side of things this
3969s was tied into a system called schematic
3972s and basically we have removed this
3974s component the reason being is that
3975s having it there could have actually been
3977s impacting the performance so we've taken
3980s it out to see if it helps
3982s so yeah that is one of this is one of
3984s the bigger bigger reasons as to why uh
3986s we need people on the test server this
3989s time around with these we need to make
3991s sure that they work and they actually do
3993s make a difference um and it can be very
3996s difficult to tell if we don't have large
3998s numbers of people playing it once on the
4000s test servers so
4002s um
4003s yeah
4004s we'll continue with the with the rest of
4005s them but i will probably end up
4007s repeating that several times around
4009s because it is quite important for us
4010s like um we we really did want to make
4012s sure that we put a focus on this this
4014s update because of the problems that have
4016s been reported um
4019s so yeah the la so like i said the last
4020s thing was that component we removed and
4022s that's that's it from the server side so
4023s now this is not the only things we're
4025s going to be doing these are just the
4027s first steps
4029s so that's it uh
4030s that's it for this update but we're
4032s going to be doing much much more as each
4034s update progresses throughout the rest of
4036s the year yeah obviously performance is
4038s very important to us and like optimizing
4040s the game as much as we can so we'll
4042s continue working on all the performance
4044s updates uh pc and console as well to
4047s give you the best possible experience so
4050s that's it when it comes down to it we
4052s want to make sure you all have the best
4053s possible experience so
4055s this is
4056s one step to it in that direction
4058s hopefully the right step
4061s so the next side then was actually the
4063s client uh performance so you guys might
4065s actually remember before the new year we
4068s did a change in the way the game uh
4072s interacts with the steam api
4074s so we've done we've we've dug deeper
4077s into that and we noticed that it we
4078s still needed some more work on it so
4081s essentially what was happening was game
4083s was making several calls to or a lot of
4085s calls to some features in the same steam
4087s api every single frame and from systems
4091s this was actually pretty costly so some
4094s of you noticed when you had certain
4096s aspects of steam open or running um in
4099s the background it was decreasing
4100s performance overall for you so we're

4107s that call every frame anymore so
4109s hopefully we're hoping that this should
4111s come with an increase in performance for
4114s uh many of you now we know this is not
4117s the silver bullet that's going to solve
4119s all the performance issues
4121s no we know this
4123s with that we are
4125s adding some more tools to the game to
4128s actually help us dig into these
4130s performance issues a little bit further
4132s so i think we have something yeah on
4134s that nice so
4136s clean-up
4138s yeah i thought so too i thought that was
4140s pretty nice so um so some of you some of
4142s the veterans uh you might remember a
4144s thing called the lightweight profiler
4146s and this was something that we had
4149s way back in the early days that we used
4151s to actually help with these specific
4153s performance related issues so what it is
4155s is that it um it's a beta branch that
4158s you
4159s enter into steam and you start playing
4161s from that and and
4163s you play on the live servers as normal
4165s well technically test at the moment um
4167s you play as normal um and what happens
4169s is that the game will record extra data
4172s about what's going on from a performance
4173s sense in the game log files and in
4176s another separate file that uh is there
4179s so the reason that we've done this is
4181s because this is far more user friendly
4184s as some of you know we had been asking
4186s for things known as mtr captures before
4188s the new year to try and help us
4189s investigate these issues as well
4191s and they were a little bit difficult to
4193s follow if you got around to it it was
4196s relatively simple once you kind of went
4198s through every step but initially once
4200s you looked at it it was quite a daunting
4201s experience and kind of
4203s not really the best thing to do if
4206s you're not
4206s overly technical so we wanted to bring a
4209s way that was far more friendly to you
4211s guys to be able to help us a little bit
4213s better um
4215s so yeah one thing you'll notice is that
4217s it's very simple to set up all of the
4219s details are like step by step are
4221s written out in the patch notes and like
4223s it's just activating a beta branch um on
4226s the
4228s in steam by pressing on the settings
4230s properties beta and like i said there's
4232s more information on steam in the patch
4234s notes and this will also come to the
4236s live servers we have it on test so by
4238s all means uh i like i got the guys to
4240s activate it so that we could test it on
4242s so if you are one of those people that
4244s are still encountering performance
4245s issues stutters
4247s anything really that you feel is
4248s performance related
4250s you can use this beta code you have to
4252s enter it in before you start playing
4253s those so make sure you do that the game
4255s log files don't give us anything unless
4257s you relaunch the game while this code is
4260s activated um and then yeah what with the
4263s files i have detailed exactly which
4265s files you need to get us and you just
4267s send them over to us and we'll pass them
4268s on to the devs and that will really
4269s really help us a lot with our
4271s investigations so
4273s profiler is on test and also will come
4275s to live when uh 1.8 goes to the live
4279s source
4280s yeah so to find the code for the beta
4282s branch i've seen some people asking just
4284s go to our uh patch notes on the steam
4286s test servers right now and there you'll
4288s be able to find the beta branch you just
4290s have to edit if you are facing
4291s performance issues to launch options and
4293s then it will automatically activate
4295s itself in your session so yeah once what
4298s happens is once you've entered the code
4300s like and you click play a little extra
4302s box will pop up and go do you want to
4304s play hunch showdown or play hunt
4306s showdown um beta branch or or
4309s lightweight profiler i think so click on
4311s the lightweight profiler and then
4313s play but one thing i will say
4316s don't leave it running for too long
4318s okay a game or two is perfect it will
4321s gather a bit of data for us that we can
4323s actually dig into it further but if you
4325s leave it running for a long extended
4327s period of time it can actually use up
4329s more resources on your pc and may
4330s actually cause performance issues on its
4332s own so make sure that when you're using
4334s it only do it for a game or two exit
4337s hunt turn it off um and go back to the
4339s normal version um and make sure then you
4342s send the files so you can either reach
4343s out to us on the community management
4345s team so myself or bensa or ahri or our
4348s brazilian community manager um uh
4351s leo chancellor our russian community
4353s manager yvonne um and any of us uh will
4356s be able to take them off your hands and
4357s pass them on to um the the devs for
4360s further investigation um so yeah that's
4363s that's
4364s more details can be found in the patch
4366s notes so
4368s yeah exactly and uh yeah as rick said uh
4371s this is not uh stopping here we're gonna
4373s work on performance in the future and uh
4376s we'll also release more blogs more
4377s videos as we go into your year regarding

4401s heads up guys that it is not everything

4406s you guys every detail and not show like
4409s images yet but at least we want to
4411s highlight what is the path ahead of us
4416s so a new quest system
4418s yes so this is something that is going
4420s to be coming like we said early q
4422s um we have a bunch of different things
4424s in the works and one of them is a new
4426s quest system so this is going to replace
4428s the daily weekly challenges that we
4430s currently have
4431s um
4432s some of you
4433s should know about them but some of you
4435s might not um which is kind of the point
4438s so we have uh we are we are currently in
4441s the process of working on a new system
4444s here it is going to be um
4446s basically our hope is it's going to be a
4448s far more engaging
4450s system for
4451s everyone giving more engaging elements
4453s of progression to hunt and just your
4455s daily play sessions
4457s so um we're the way we're going to
4459s design it it's going to have something
4460s for everyone you know which means that
4462s like we'll have there'll be like quests
4463s in it for beginners to come to grips
4465s with the core gameplay aimed for more
4468s experience and hardcore players and kind
4469s of everything in between really to be
4471s honest with you so um but the the aim
4474s with it there is like we're gonna add a
4476s system that gives you a little bit more
4477s freedom with the challenges that you
4479s actually undertake and want to focus on
4482s with the daily weekly challenges you
4484s kind of set something and you did it or
4485s you didn't kind of thing so this will
4487s kind of give you a little bit more
4488s freedom with it um and again we'll have
4490s further updates like we will also be
4492s expanding the system for in the future
4494s as well in tying it into other systems
4496s and it's going to give us a lot more
4498s freedom as well in terms of bringing new
4500s content outside of uh live events and
4502s stuff like that so
4504s keep an eye out for it we can't go into
4505s much we don't want anything to show on
4507s it right now it's you know still
4508s everything is all in the works um and
4511s yeah we we really really are looking
4513s forward to actually showing this off to
4515s you guys because we're we're excited
4517s about where this is going to bring us um
4519s and what what comes with in early q2 is
4521s going to be
4522s the the groundwork for the future of
4524s this system so we hope you like it yeah

4583s the the new ai variations as well so

4588s two new variations to the grunts

4594s you know we just we like to mix it up a
4595s little bit we guys have seen some of the
4597s previous variations that we've done um
4599s with the the prison grunts and the
4601s doctor grunts and everything like that
4602s so we have another two coming up uh one
4605s a little bit more different than the
4608s others i i don't want to give too much
4609s away but both are going to be really
4612s cool additions um
4614s so
4615s we again we don't have photos to show
4617s you just yet we want to save that for a
4618s little bit for another devstream um and
4621s this is just kind of one of those things
4623s that we're looking to add a bit more
4624s variety into hunt overall in terms of
4626s the ai um and this is just one of the
4628s steps that we're taking so you know you
4630s can expect to potentially see a lot more
4632s coming in the future yeah it's so hard
4634s not to say anything about this but uh
4636s there'll be a lot of fun and yeah i i
4638s really really want to say it it's
4640s very very very very cool to know but no
4643s you guys are gonna have to wait so
4646s but you won't be disappointed so uh just
4648s keep an eye out for uh the new air
4650s variation as well

4654s oh another big one uh so

4658s uh there was a bug in the game where the
4662s third person animations were misaligned
4664s when standing and crashing with
4665s different weapons with specific weapons
4667s actually uh you guys brought it to our
4669s attention and uh
4671s with the next update actually after 1.8
4674s we are going to fix it
4676s yes so it is due to come in 1.8.1 and
4679s again we want to thank those who have
4680s created all the videos and everything
4682s like that and and like really brought it
4684s to our attention um there's some in
4686s particular ones uh i believe from huge

4689s who did some and they were passed along

4815s we there are certain things that we know
4818s are coming in the works on
4820s and you know generally on targets so we
4823s wanted to make sure that we could
4824s actually give you a little bit more

4827s one of the reasons for this actually is
4829s because obviously taking down our
4830s roadmap last year we want to start using
4832s these um
4834s devstreams and blogs and videos as a
4837s much better way of communicating our
4839s roadmap so this is this is not
4841s essentially a roadmap devstream but it
4843s is something that we want to start using
4845s and we feel it's probably going to be a
4847s little bit better because at least then
4848s we can talk about it with you guys um
4850s live and you know it's not just a static
4852s page that
4854s unfortunately wasn't really working for
4856s us and wasn't really working well for
4857s the community it was you know if we ever
4859s change something on that
4860s uh we ended up ended up causing backlash
4863s because you know for any different many
4866s different reasons and just having the
4868s static page wasn't doing this any favors
4869s so what this allows this opens us up and
4872s gives us a lot more freedom to be able
4874s to produce more content for you guys to
4876s let you know about what's coming um
4878s it's it
4880s it just opens up a bigger avenue of
4882s communication rather than just hey go
4884s look at that static page that
4886s potentially hasn't been updated in a
4887s couple of weeks or
4889s you know anything like that so this is
4891s going to be our new format for

4898s forward um

5003s topic is quality of life and ui
5006s improvements in the game

5010s feed her feedback feedback feedback and
5013s one big point of feedback we have from
5015s all of you is the ui um we know that
5018s there's a lot of things that you guys
5019s have suggested and would like to see in
5021s our ui so we have a couple of points
5024s that we're going to try and touch on um
5026s towards you know the late q2 early q3 so
5030s some of the main points that we want to
5032s look at so we want to look at the the
5034s the
5035s um
5036s the death screen and the team detail
5038s screen for one
5039s so
5040s one of the things that we've the
5041s feedback we've gotten is is that people
5043s want more information you after you've
5045s died you know we want to make sure that
5047s we still keep that element of mystery
5049s throughout your entire game
5051s but
5052s at the end of it you should have more
5054s information you should know what
5056s actually happened not just from the
5058s damage you dealt or anything like that
5059s but also the damage dealt to you well i
5061s mean sorry a lot of damage dealt with
5062s you but the damage you dealt and and
5064s other things that happened in or around
5066s the time of your death and the same with
5068s the team details so these are two things
5070s that we are currently uh working on the
5072s ui guys are look to see exactly what
5075s they can do and how best they can work
5076s it um
5078s so this is something we wanted to talk
5080s about we wanted like one thing we want
5081s to kind of try to make sure of is that
5083s we're adding a bit more fairness at
5084s least to after a match um and one of
5087s those things that provides that kind of
5088s element innocent allows you to work on
5091s your strategies and the way you play is
5093s to have more details so this is
5095s something that we we want to work on for
5097s you so it'll be improvements both to the
5100s death and team detail screen i'm not
5102s sure if it's going to be an entirely new
5103s one i don't believe so but it'll just be
5104s an improvement on the current one that's
5106s there
5107s yeah and other than these two bigger
5109s changes we are also planning changes to
5111s the equipment screen so obviously when
5113s you're equipping your hunters uh this
5115s should overall have a much better
5117s usability in the menus for you guys to
5119s understand how this works uh a lot of
5122s improvements to be made there so uh we
5124s are going to be changing this in the
5126s future as well and obviously as as i can
5129s see it in the chat the ui has been a big
5131s topic and uh we are working on it so
5133s this is one of our biggest focus uh for
5136s at least
5138s as the summer period yeah within the
5139s next six months yeah it's like like
5141s we've said the the whole point of kind
5142s of when while we're talking about this
5144s is a lot of the stuff coming up is about
5146s service and ui is is a part of that um
5149s so it's very important that we have a ui
5151s that everyone is is happy with and uses
5154s and can use very well so this will be
5156s the first steps that we take within the
5158s first you know six months of this year
5161s exactly and then there's actually a
5163s whole brand new feature this will be
5166s very vague about because we cannot share
5168s anything but uh i can already promise
5170s you that this is gonna be a big one and
5172s it's very cool
5174s you guys are gonna hate us for how fake
5176s we are seriously you're gonna hate us
5179s basically we have a brand new feature
5181s coming around cue started q3 uh not not
5184s no specific dates or anything like that
5186s yet but around that time
5188s uh this feature is going to bring a
5190s brand new element of team play
5192s and on top of that is going to double up
5194s as an anti-camping mechanic
5199s and that is that's all right

5268s at this point uh asking about the ping
5270s limits the topic of
5272s ping abuse and the regional looking uh
5275s players so now we have a plan for this
5279s it's not like completely finalized in
5280s every aspect and we obviously can't tell
5282s you everything about it but we can share
5284s a few parts of it already so yes
5287s so basically the the initial plan is to
5290s have some limitations for some people
5292s when playing out a region so we
5295s the main kind of focus with something
5297s like this is that we can ensure fairness
5299s in the matchups you know um and we have
5302s seen that you know excessive excessive
5305s pain can cause there to be some
5307s unfairness and this is something that we
5309s want to work on so
5310s uh
5313s it's also we have to be very careful as
5315s well because we have a lot of players
5316s all around the world and we want to make
5318s sure that all of our players can
5320s actually play
5321s so we with this system we are going to
5324s make sure that at least one region will
5326s be available
5328s to
5328s everybody
5330s um and and then as things go on as hunt
5333s grows and everything like that we're
5335s also you know we could potentially even
5337s be looking to add more regions if that's
5339s the case but you know the the community
5341s needs to grow uh much bigger for that to
5343s be the case but this is the thing
5345s we know people have been asking for so
5347s long
5348s and
5349s like yeah it's something that we're
5350s currently working on so
5353s we don't have any and any ins and outs
5355s because we are still working on the
5357s actual plan of how to implement
5359s something like this but we have been
5361s given the go ahead to say that this is
5363s something that is going to be coming and
5365s something that we are actively working
5366s on we want to make like we said we want
5368s to make sure we guys keep you informed

5454s be a bigger work of the overall

5616s the skins are fair so every skin where

5858s where we do not have servers and we want
5860s to ensure that those people at least
5862s have one option to play it still so you
5864s won't be logged out of the game after
5865s the changes uh there will be always one
5868s server region available for you probably
5870s the closest to you anyway so you can
5872s always play
5874s yeah yeah we again we want to kind of
5877s make a uh
5880s we want to make a point of of fairness
5882s you know but also a point of that anyone
5884s can play you know they're that that will
5886s be our focus with this so we will never
5887s try to balance it as as carefully as
5889s possible and i mean it won't be one of
5891s those systems that we just put in and
5892s you know that's it tough you know we
5894s will continue to do uh other things
5896s about it um i just actually before we
5899s continue with any other of the questions

5902s there's always the the couple of three
5904s topics that actually come up
5905s quite a lot and that's the hit reg
5908s desync and kill traits
5910s and we don't have any specific details
5913s to provide right now i have something i

5922s just to keep you keep you guys aware of
5924s the fact that it is still something we
5927s are looking into so um we in terms of
5929s hit reg we are still investigating we
5932s have a lot of data to go through in
5933s terms of what's going on on that side of

5938s i can't really say much more other than
5940s that it's we're still going we're still
5942s going through a data analysis on uh
5944s what's going on um and we will try and
5946s give some updates on that in the very
5947s very near future
5949s um the same goes for dsync it's also
5951s something that we are looking into as
5952s well um and looking to see if there we
5954s have ways that we can try to uh reduce
5957s it um again working in progress
5959s currently being analyzed and finally
5962s with kill trades so i do have a tiny bit
5964s of news with kill trades um so there we
5968s know that people have been
5969s feeling that that window is a bit too
5972s big so we are looking at actually making
5974s some adjustments to the kill trade
5975s window um i don't have the specifics on
5977s how much of an adjustment we will be
5979s making but we will be uh reducing that
5982s window that's there so that it should
5984s hopefully improve the whole situation
5986s around kill trades still something work
5988s in progress that we were that we're
5989s looking at um but at least i wanted to
5992s at least give you guys some idea um on
5995s where we stand on those topics as well
5997s yeah uh so especially from youtube i see
6000s a lot of questions regarding uh
6003s console upgrades to next gen or justin i
6006s have no idea what you call them anymore
6010s playstation 5 xbox series x and ass
6012s basically yes so playstation 5 and xbox
6015s series s and x are current gen and the
6017s other ones are less gen so um yes so

6030s debates as well but i do know that we
6031s have been talking we know that a lot of
6033s you have been asking for a current gen
6035s um update and it is something that we
6036s are looking into i don't like i said i
6039s don't have the specifics but we're
6040s definitely definitely definitely looking
6042s into it and seeing exactly what it's
6043s going to take and what needs to be done
6045s to try and
6047s uh make it a thing
6049s on the last gen side of things so
6051s excited at the end of last year we do
6054s want to improve the
6056s uh performance on that in terms of the
6058s frame rate and the frame rate stability
6060s so one thing we're going to be looking
6061s at is trying to make sure that we get a
6063s consistent 30 fps across the board on
6066s the xbox
6067s one and the playstation 4. um
6071s so yeah that's that's the information we
6073s have we are definitely looking at it we
6074s also know that like there's some some
6076s some kind of quality of life things with
6077s bugs and stuff like that we're also
6079s looking into them
6080s myself and the moderators on our discord
6082s are currently working on gathering as
6084s many of these as we can from you guys so
6086s that we can try and get some stuff um
6088s sorted
6089s uh and as well um yeah we're we're just
6092s going to be looking at overall trying to
6094s make a better experience for everybody

6180s people something to work towards um and
6182s yeah it's definitely it's not going to
6184s go anywhere anytime soon so we're
6185s definitely going to be developing that
6186s along with you know quest system and
6188s everything we mentioned earlier on so

6197s when 1.8 is out so the current plan is

6202s we when we need to need to have it on
6203s test server for a little bit just so we
6206s can get the appropriate testing in but

6215s always depends on how the quest uh
6217s testing goes if there's a lot of issues
6218s then it comes later a bit but uh if
6220s everything goes smooth and we are able

6227s like we can never say an exact date on
6229s those yeah yeah things can change things
6232s can change so we we need to see how the
6234s test goes that's why it's very very
6236s important that you guys actually get on
6237s test and try it out and give us your

6252s trials coming back with the soul so the
6254s thing with trials is we because we have
6256s we feel that there are some things that
6258s are a bit more important at the moment

6263s for decile has been put on the back for
6265s the type b um it is something that will
6267s come um it's just not something that you
6270s are going to see at least for sure
6272s within the next six months sorry uh for

6281s we have plans for new ai in uh non-boss
6284s monster ai and and boss monster so yes
6287s we as we said we plans at least for
6290s for variations of the existing um ai i
6294s believe there's always some
6296s conversations going on about possible
6297s new ones but i don't have any details to
6300s share about a specific one that is going
6302s to be coming um anytime soon
6305s i can say that we have uh started the
6309s very early planning phase towards a
6311s possible new boss

6314s uh don't get too excited it's a big word

6320s early early early stages but it'll be
6322s something that we are looking at at the
