678s | you asking for it already uh so we will |

703s | bugs and issues the fun stuff |

710s | really wanted to talk to you guys about |
712s | the issues uh obviously we have |
715s | addressed them on social media and in |
717s | comments a few times but we wanted to |
719s | make sure that we can talk about them |
722s | like really openly on the stream as well |
725s | so let's look at the service side of |
729s | everything that happened after update |
731s | 1.8 i believe uh including the event as |
734s | well yep |
738s | so maybe you want to start a safari like |
740s | like some reason |
741s | so we wanted to go over some of the |
744s | reasons for the recent issues this is |
746s | primarily going to go with the servers |
749s | that were having problems during the |
752s | event and maybe a little bit beforehand |

756s | if you want to go to the next one yeah |
757s | but uh like it's uh very important to |
760s | mention for the update side of things |
763s | that uh |
764s | the recent reasons for uh the issues |
767s | were caused by manufacturers for 1.8 |
770s | one was our traitors moon campaign which |
773s | is obviously we had planned traitors |
775s | moon uh |
777s | like earlier in time at a certain date |
779s | and we set up multiple campaigns uh with |
781s | that with like that includes team |
783s | highlighting steam sales and multiple uh |
787s | other campaigns |
788s | with third parties social media all that |
791s | was set up for traders moon |
793s | uh exactly and uh |
796s | update 1.8 came out on test servers and |
800s | we had a very limited time frame for the |
803s | update itself and unfortunately due to |
806s | our mistake we misjudged the quality of |
808s | the update after testing |
811s | and released 1.8 |
814s | in a state that we didn't want to |
816s | release it in so |
818s | uh |
818s | yeah as you guys know there were |
820s | multiple bugs and issues in the update |
823s | that |
824s | could have been |
826s | obviously uh could have been fixed |
828s | earlier |
830s | but this led to multiple hot fixes from |
833s | our side |
835s | and downtime that we really did not want |
838s | to have to do during the event but was |
840s | needed to get those hot fixes out |
844s | exactly and uh |
846s | but |
846s | we learn from our mistakes uh and |
851s | we will always make mistakes guys and |
853s | this allows us to learn in the future |
855s | and allows us to not |
857s | make the same mistakes again so uh |
861s | moving forward we really want to ensure |
863s | that |
864s | we are focusing on the stability and |
866s | quality of each update |
868s | so again we want the test servers to be |
870s | a very important part of this on pc uh |
873s | and actually have the time to fix the |
876s | issues and not release them and make |
877s | sure they are |
879s | as good as they can be |
882s | and yeah also uh this way we want to |
885s | allow more times for us to work on the |
887s | updates and also the fixes to these |
889s | updates |
890s | so again uh |
892s | we messed up we made mistakes uh and we |
896s | will |
897s | try to not make them in the future |
899s | we will always make some mistakes but we |
901s | can learn from them and uh thank you for |
903s | all of you understanding the issues |

907s | we are sorry for all them |
909s | we appreciate your patience we know it |
911s | can be frustrating when there's an event |
913s | going on and you're just seeing a bunch |
916s | of issues all over the board |
918s | and we know that can make the event feel |
921s | worse in the long term and we don't want |
923s | that to be the sentiment when an event |
925s | comes so we're listening to the feedback |
928s | and we do want to do better |
930s | exactly and the since i in the chat i |
932s | already seen a bunch of questions about |
934s | different bugs |
936s | so obviously with the four hotfixes we |
938s | had |
939s | in this period we fixed uh most bigger |
942s | bugs but there's a few that you guys |
944s | have been asking about like the romero |
946s | ads bug |
947s | uh the b that bug will be fixed in this |
949s | update uh also for console players the |
952s | quick swap uh issue where |
955s | it like resets itself and doesn't work |
957s | properly that will be fixed as well |
959s | and the |
960s | the leather bug is a another issue that |
963s | obviously you guys all know about and we |
964s | also posted about |
966s | so that is being worked on but uh it |
969s | will most likely not make into this |
971s | update yet because it is a much uh more |
973s | a bigger issue and we actually have a |
975s | smaller note about this so |
978s | i don't know if you already have it |
979s | ready yeah i'm going over the uh the |
982s | ladder exploit is a little bit more |
984s | explanation because we are still working |
985s | on this on our side but we know it can |
988s | be frustrating because it's in the game |
990s | and it can be exploited uh as far as the |
993s | uh |
994s | exploiting side we are still |
996s | going over all the reports that are |
998s | coming in and people who are exploiting |
1000s | that system we are addressing on our |
1002s | customer service side uh please read |
1005s | over our hunt showdown code of conduct |
1008s | that we have on our website we do |
1010s | mention that exploiting the game can |
1012s | result in actions being taken against |
1014s | you and we hope you remember that |
1016s | because there are people who are still |
1018s | trying to abuse this |
1020s | the reason this is taking longer than |
1022s | than what we would want is the climbing |
1024s | is |
1025s | the climbing system in hunt is one of |
1027s | the oldest systems that we've put into |
1029s | the game |
1030s | there have been other newer movement |
1032s | systems that have clashed with that |
1034s | ladder climbing system and because of |
1036s | that it's causing kind of a larger issue |
1039s | that we're having to address but we are |
1042s | still working on it we're still |
1045s | addressing all the reports and we hope |
1046s | to get this fixed as soon as we can |
1049s | yeah so thank you for understanding and |
1051s | again please if you uh |
1053s | if you see someone using the exploit |
1055s | which is uh very easy by spectating them |
1058s | after they killed you |
1059s | uh please report them in game as well as |
1062s | if you can capture a video of it and |
1063s | send it to our customer support on our |
1065s | website because we are indeed banning |
1068s | players using this exploits right now so |
1070s | it's very important that you guys |
1071s | actually report them |
1073s | to us and uh yeah |
1076s | i think that's that's about the box for |
1078s | now uh and let's move on to our other |
1082s | big topic because you guys are asking |
1084s | again which is the servers |
1086s | which is obviously also a very very very |
1089s | hot topic right now in the community and |
1091s | there's a good reason why as well so |
1095s | and uh yeah i see uh people still asking |
1097s | for a bunch of other bugs uh with update |
1100s | 1.8.1 we will have a bunch of bug fixes |
1104s | i just wanted to mention a few as |
1105s | highlights but |
1107s | obviously as soon as we have the patch |
1108s | notes you will be able to read about all |
1110s | the fixes there there's a lot of fixes |
1113s | yeah the the bug section of this patch |
1116s | notes is is quite a long one but fun to |
1118s | read through |
1119s | it's always fun |
1124s | all right for the server issues uh we |
1127s | want to start by apologizing we know |
1130s | when the servers get disrupted it can be |
1133s | very |
1134s | you know jarring while you're in game |
1136s | and if you're in the middle of fire |
1138s | fight or you know you're gonna just get |
1140s | out with that bounty it can be really |
1142s | frustrating |
1143s | we know the server issues did escalate a |
1145s | bit during the live or during the event |
1148s | and those for a few different factors we |
1150s | also heard uh just to quickly address at |
1153s | the start of the stream that we're |
1154s | having some eu server problems um from |
1157s | what we can see on our side we think |
1159s | they've been resolved for people who |
1160s | might have been playing hunt as the |
1162s | stream was getting started but we're |
1164s | still watching that and |
1166s | with all our server issues we do try to |
1169s | address them as quickly as possible |
1171s | we're watching our discord we watch |
1173s | |
1174s | one of my jobs as a us community manager |
1177s | is that i'm a different time zone as |
1179s | most of our people located in germany or |
1181s | eu and that is just so we can spread out |
1184s | more people over a greater period of |
1186s | time that are watching for these reports |
1188s | we're watching to see when these server |
1190s | issues happen and we can address them as |
1192s | quickly as possible |
1194s | right now our servers are pretty much |
1196s | our top priority and we are working to |
1199s | get them more stable and resolved |
1203s | going forward |
1205s | we've |
1205s | identified a few different cases that |
1208s | have caused |
1210s | these server drops |
1212s | these cases have included |
1214s | isp problems that's your internet |
1216s | service provider |
1217s | compatibility with them and hunt have |
1220s | not been great but we're looking into |
1222s | that we also had some malicious attacks |
1224s | that happened during the |
1227s | event this is something else that we're |
1230s | looking into and we want to be more |
1231s | protected at against in the future |
1235s | and then |
1236s | we've also |
1238s | had our own system and back-end issues |
1240s | for the hunt servers themselves so it's |
1242s | not always |
1243s | uh you know other people's problems with |
1245s | the isps and with malicious attacks part |
1248s | of it is our own system that we're |
1249s | looking at and we're working to improve |
1253s | yeah and uh let's just look at the |
1255s | issues a bit separately and uh what we |
1257s | are doing with them so as we as ary |
1260s | mentioned we had some isp issues as well |
1262s | as malicious attacks and uh |
1266s | basically to resolve the isp issues in |
1269s | particular |
1270s | we are looking at other ways considering |
1273s | alternative approaches to ensure that |
1275s | our packets are rooted through faster |
1277s | networks in those cases where it's |
1279s | needed so obviously it depends on the |
1281s | isp and then they resurface but we want |
1284s | to ensure this and this should help if |
1288s | alleviating the issues sorry for that |
1290s | and uh yeah as for the malicious uh |
1292s | attacks uh we already implemented better |
1295s | protection against them so this should |
1298s | uh solve those issues on that and so |
1301s | that's uh very good to see and uh let's |
1304s | take a look at |
1306s | our own systems and our back end where |
1308s | we also have found multiple issues |
1312s | so |
1314s | first of all since uh we've seen that |
1316s | you guys uh |
1317s | and seen the server issues ever since uh |
1320s | they started uh we made it like our |
1323s | highest priority straight away |
1325s | and |
1327s | because of that we already managed to |
1329s | implement some fixes |
1331s | so it should be already much better than |
1333s | it used to be than it is in our system |
1335s | and backhand |
1336s | uh but |
1338s | we also have a lot more fixes coming |
1340s | with a future update |
1342s | and it shouldn't be too far away uh from |
1344s | 1.8.1 but it will be a future update |
1347s | after that and that will tackle uh like |
1350s | the majority of the remaining issues uh |
1353s | on our end |
1355s | so uh that hopefully will uh |
1357s | fix most of your problems |
1359s | and also |
1361s | to make sure that our service is always |
1363s | in a good quality we are also looking |
1365s | into other alternatives for the future |
1368s | to make sure it's always good |
1372s | another thing i wanted to mention on |
1374s | this topic that |
1376s | uh we really want to uh tell you guys |
1379s | what we are doing so we will release a |
1381s | blog of this as well uh that will still |
1383s | take some time because it will be |
1385s | probably online when the bigger figs |
1387s | arrive in the future update but around |
1389s | that time we will have a detailed |
1391s | explanation to these for you as well |

1448s | smaller degree but uh again we are still |
1451s | working on a more in-depth blog and |
1453s | video together |
1455s | uh with cenia as well as other parts of |
1457s | the team so we can give you guys a good |
1460s | overview with all the details in it so |

1467s | still it's taking some time but we are |

1498s | uh that's why it takes time to prepare a |
1501s | proper communication to prepare like |
1503s | different ways of the communication so |

1506s | probably a video and maybe even stream |
1508s | where we can talk and answer questions |
1510s | but now we wanted to to give you the |
1513s | um some glimpse and some small overview |
1516s | what's actually happening |
1518s | so basically our goal is maintain hunt |
1521s | for |
1522s | many years to come |
1523s | and to reach the goal we need to |
1526s | basically reduce the dependency on the |
1528s | base game sale so when like you just |
1530s | purchased the uh game and uh then you're |
1533s | like buying because we want to not just |
1535s | give you the uh like servers whatever |
1538s | they're working sometimes |
1540s | and the the game itself to play but also |
1542s | we want to deliver you the content for |
1544s | example what we're having with the event |
1545s | with all these additional features that |
1547s | we're uh providing and developing uh |
1550s | like last year there was a new map new |
1552s | boss uh events uh becoming regular in |
1555s | the game rewards for the event becoming |
1557s | regular for the game |
1558s | and uh that's what we want to keep doing |
1561s | and even bring more uh more and more uh |
1564s | excited and more maybe for some people |
1567s | not for some people yes some features so |
1571s | and uh to achieve this goal as i said we |
1573s | need to reduce this dependency because |
1576s | like yes we already like grew and like |
1578s | uh lately you can see that audience like |
1581s | um |
1582s | all this audience was grown but uh to |
1585s | achieve this goal to |
1588s | reduce the dependency on the base game |
1590s | sales we actually need to apply changes |
1592s | and this uh changes we already started |

1595s | and uh we keep um we we keep doing this |
1600s | and that's something that's needed to |
1603s | just i'm repeating this like over and |
1605s | over again but that's like important |
1606s | that the core of the message that we |

1609s | uh be able to sustain and that's i mean |
1612s | our desire uh to be able to not just |
1615s | maintain maintain the hunt but also |
1618s | provide new features new content and |
1621s | something that you can enjoy for years |

1629s | to say that of course uh player feedback |
1632s | and community is always on our mind |
1634s | because we are making the game for the |
1636s | community and for the players um to |
1639s | begin with uh but sometimes we are doing |
1642s | something that like maybe not going well |
1645s | maybe we can do better but it's also |
1646s | like it's about the learning curve we're |
1648s | also learning because we're trying new |
1650s | stuff |
1651s | we're seeing the result we're evaluating |
1653s | this and trying to react as promptly as |
1656s | as possible and it's possible i mean in |
1658s | the reality of the |
1660s | development cycle and all other |
1662s | scheduling so |
1663s | yes uh player feedback is important |

1669s | and we keep all this uh all these points |
1671s | in mind uh but sometimes something goes |

1676s | learn from and uh just keep improving uh |

1743s | not just upcoming event and maybe some |

1747s | points so uh we just finished recently |
1751s | the traitors moon event and we saw a lot |
1753s | of feedback uh i mean negative positive |
1755s | neutral |
1756s | uh what we can we already know what we |
1758s | what and how we can improve but |
1760s | important part and that's about the |
1761s | mistakes uh that are done and then we |
1763s | can learn from |
1764s | uh we basically overestimated the |
1767s | importance of the new weapon for players |
1770s | because we we actually thought that it |
1772s | might be a very good incentive and very |
1774s | good reward for players to get their |
1776s | hands hands early on the exclusive |
1778s | weapon and we underestimated the |
1780s | importance of the hunter reward in the |
1782s | end of the event |
1784s | so in combination of this |
1786s | of two facts basically uh uh resulted in |
1789s | the |
1790s | event that we uh we tried uh to put more |
1793s | focus on the weapon so |
1794s | not like stick with every event and |
1797s | every event hunter is the reward because |
1799s | like before at the start you remember |
1800s | the work |
1801s | it also was the event without hunter and |
1803s | we wanted to try it out how it will work |
1806s | uh so basically as i said the |
1808s | overestimation of the important |
1811s | importance of the weapon and uh early |
1813s | unlock and the underestimating |
1815s | importance of the hunter for the for the |
1818s | community as a main reward resulted in |
1819s | the like |
1821s | negative feedback about the like lack of |
1822s | the rewards or rewards being not that |
1824s | important so basically |
1826s | uh |
1827s | i can assure you that for the next event |
1829s | legendary hunter |
1830s | uh and uh unlock new legendary hunter |
1833s | skin will definitely will be as a reward |
1835s | for uh for the event |

1841s | in addition to that since we also seen |
1844s | the feedback from you guys that uh |
1845s | obviously the events have been pretty |
1847s | repetitive and you guys are kind of |
1850s | bored of that we want to ensure that uh |

1856s | evolving up on our base foundation and |
1858s | we will have a new mechanics in the |
1860s | future so |

1864s | event there will be uh |
1866s | more activities for you uh to enjoy and |

2083s | can't they do not have like any choice |

2323s | complete only like the easiest quest and |
2325s | it gives like for example only one point |

2330s | still can proceed uh towards the main |
2332s | reward just repeating the same quest it |
2335s | will not give you the in-game reward |
2336s | anymore because the in-game |
2339s | reward uh granted only on the first |
2342s | completion but you still can accumulate |
2344s | the stars points to move towards your |
2346s | main reward |
2348s | and the meanwhile i already seen some |

3403s | trailer you can see them have it in one |

3408s | what this grunt can look like |

3414s | we encourage you guys to check out the |
3416s | test server one 1.8.1 comes out on that |

3422s | and also keep an ear out because you |

3428s | exactly the variation is not just how |
3430s | they look but also the broken pistols |
3432s | they hold it could be multiple we didn't |
3434s | want to specify here how many because |
3437s | it's for you to figure out since it will |
3439s | be an audio trigger which we'll be |
3442s | explaining in a second we just didn't |
3443s | want to spoil it so you can have fun on |
3445s | the test servers or live servers later |

3448s | this pistol grunt is going to be coming |
3450s | at you with that pistol in their hand |
3452s | though and if they happen to hit you |
3454s | with that pistol there will be a small |
3456s | explosion |
3457s | where the pistol discharges and it will |
3460s | sound like a gunshot in the air to you |
3463s | and to everybody surrounding so almost |
3465s | sound like somebody was using one of |
3467s | these pistols to shoot something else |
3469s | but it was actually a pistol grunt |
3472s | there is no bullet fired when this melee |
3474s | attack hits you so you will hear that |
3476s | noise uh there will be a little bit of |
3479s | damage from the melee but there's no |
3481s | chance of you getting shot with a pistol |
3483s | with that pistol and you won't get |
3485s | randomly headshot or anything like that |
3488s | yeah and uh |
3489s | yeah and it's a yeah it's important to |
3491s | mention that uh the weapon breaks after |
3493s | the grunt hits you with the melee attack |
3495s | so you won't be able to pick up the |
3498s | weapon from the floor so it will be a |
3501s | broken gun that just hits you it creates |
3504s | the audio trigger for the certain weapon |
3507s | whichever it is and uh basically players |
3510s | won't be able to tell if it was a |
3511s | gunshot by you by another team or what |
3514s | happens so it is to cause a bit of |
3517s | confusion and uh a few more audio traps |
3520s | in the game which we all love so much |
3522s | you know what i just thought about bence |
3524s | is that now if a pistol grunt ever |
3526s | sneaks up behind me and hits me i'm not |
3528s | only gonna get scared by the melee |
3530s | damage i'm also gonna get scared by a |
3532s | gunshot going down at the same time |
3535s | exactly |
3536s | and by the way already that we i think |
3538s | we have a bunch of uh video examples uh |
3541s | three exactly so why don't we just take |
3543s | a look at those and |
3545s | talk everyone through them so let's take |
3547s | a look |
3550s | so going over this one this is uh the |
3552s | first variation you're going to see |
3556s | thankfully our creative services gave us |
3558s | a nice video showcasing what they look |
3560s | like how the grunt is going to be |

3562s | and what happens when they come towards |

3566s | in this example you can see that we can |
3568s | kind of stave off this pistol grunt for |
3570s | a little bit with a few melees but once |
3572s | he actually connects with that rusted |
3574s | pistol in his hand the gunshot goes off |
3578s | yeah uh just to clarify it was actually |
3581s | not creative services but the actual |
3583s | design team providing the videos thank |
3585s | you design yeah the creative services |
3588s | did uh create the trailer that you guys |
3590s | seen before maybe we can show it once |
3591s | again after the grunts uh |

3595s | we know that they are holding the gun |
3598s | the wrong way around but again |
3601s | the pull-up that it discharges doesn't |
3602s | actually hit anyone or doesn't cause |
3604s | damage the only damage you take is the |
3606s | melee attack and as you can see in this |
3608s | video if you cancel the melee attack it |
3610s | won't happen so it only happens if the |
3612s | ground hits you |
3615s | and then after the grunt actually |
3617s | connects with that melee you can see |
3618s | their arm is starting to bleed and that |
3620s | pistol is gone so you'll only get that |
3622s | audio trigger once |
3625s | but let's look at another example as |
3626s | well with a different weapon it's by the |

3676s | a chance to set off that pistol or you |
3678s | might be drawing a little bit of extra |
3680s | attention around to you and your team |
3682s | yeah someone uh noticed that well yeah |
3685s | the pistol grounds do have a bandolier |

3689s | another good way to identify them |
3692s | if you look closely you can even see |
3694s | different pistol models in their hand to |
3696s | represent what gunshot might go off when |
3698s | they hit you |

3706s | grunt that like is completely new |
3709s | but again the regular guns can have the |

3770s | a lantern but unlike the pistol it can |

3782s | and uh depending on that it will uh |
3785s | cause different different uh effect in |
3787s | the world once it's break |

3790s | so yeah again obviously the grounds can |
3792s | attack you uh with their melee attacks |
3795s | using the lantern and |
3797s | after they hit you like the same with |
3799s | the pastel ground the lantern will break |
3801s | on impact and uh |
3804s | yeah what happens or even the lantern |
3805s | breaks |
3806s | as some people might know if the lantern |
3809s | is lit there will be a fire explosion |
3811s | and if the grunt hit you you're probably |
3813s | catching on fire and you're going to |
3814s | want to hold that button to put yourself |

3818s | if the lantern was not lit though it |
3820s | will create a pool of oil on the ground |
3822s | that can be lit up later so you want to |
3824s | make sure you're not going to be |
3825s | standing in that |
3826s | correct and uh yeah let's just uh take a |
3829s | look at the lantern grounds in the video |
3831s | format and we'll continue commenting on |
3832s | them again the same spot for you guys |

3851s | soon as the ground hits you it did set |
3853s | himself and you as well on fire |
3857s | a little bit similar to the minor grunts |

3862s | launch of de sao |
3863s | but something different with these |
3865s | lantern grunts that you'll see is if you |
3867s | actually take out the lantern grunt |
3869s | before he hits you with his lantern |
3871s | that lantern will drop on the ground and |
3873s | become a normal in-game lantern that you |
3876s | could interact with like if you picked |
3878s | it up from a compound |
3880s | where the miner grunt you can never use |
3882s | their fire to your advantage if you see |
3884s | this lantern grunt and you can take them |
3886s | out before they hit you you can grab |
3888s | that lantern and maybe burn an enemy |
3891s | player or use it to take out an armored |
3893s | something like that and use it to your |
3895s | advantage |
3897s | yeah and meanwhile we are seeing the |
3899s | unlit variation of the ground uh as you |
3902s | saw if they hit you and the lantern |
3904s | breaks then it will cause an oil puddle |
3906s | on the floor |
3910s | uh the difference is that you're not |
3911s | getting set on fire basically because i |
3914s | see someone saying they couldn't see the |
3915s | difference that's a pretty big |
3916s | difference |
3922s | you're not going to want to hang out in |
3923s | that uh puddle for too long though so |
3926s | make sure you're keeping an eye out |
3929s | uh |
3930s | also due to |
3932s | uh the fact that we want to be able to |
3934s | interact with the lantern once that |
3935s | grunt is taken out |
3937s | you're not able to shoot the lantern out |
3939s | of the grunt's hand |
3941s | while they're walking so if you do try |
3943s | to shoot them it will interact like a |
3945s | regular grunt it'll only be when they |
3946s | try to melee you that that fire |
3948s | explosion could happen and that's just |
3950s | to preserve that lantern so you can |
3951s | actually use it once the the grunt has |
3953s | been taken out |
3955s | uh yeah yeah as again and this video has |
3958s | already mentioned if you kill the ground |
3959s | or actually even if you just shoot their |
3961s | arms not the lantern they will in fact |
3964s | drop the lanterns of the floor and |
3965s | unlike in the pistol grounds case where |
3967s | you cannot pick the pistols up in this |
3969s | case you can pick the lantern up and if |
3972s | i'm not mistaken the lantern will be |
3973s | always turned off in this case |
3976s | to make sure it doesn't explode so even |
3978s | if the lantern was lit you kill the |
3980s | ground and when it falls on the floor it |
3981s | will be unlit for you |
3983s | so the lantern will fall uh it won't |
3985s | explode but just like any other lantern |
3988s | around the world that you pick up when |
3990s | you throw it it will be a lit lantern |
3992s | that will explode on the first throw so |
3994s | if you do want to throw the lantern and |
3996s | have it unlit you'll still need to use |
3998s | that um like selector button to change |

4005s | just said so the lantern was lit when it |
4007s | falls on the floor it will be unlit |
4009s | until someone picks it up but as soon as |
4011s | it's picked up it's lit again basically |

4083s | actually turn the lanterns off which has |
4085s | been in the case for quite a long time |

4089s | default on pc which is by the way also |
4091s | the key to switch to secondary fire |

4094s | to take off uh aperture sights on |
4097s | certain guns uh but yeah if you pass |
4100s | press x with your lantern then it will |
4101s | be either lit or only depending on how |
4103s | it was before |
4105s | yeah if you ever have a friend and |
4107s | they're annoying you a little bit just |
4109s | pick up a lantern turn it off and throw |
4111s | it at them and watch them scream as they |
4113s | try to get out of the blast radius |
4116s | but then it just tumbles to the ground |
4118s | making a funny noise oh yeah and someone |
4120s | actually said it's up on d-pad on a |
4123s | controller |
4124s | uh for the console players |
4126s | awesome |
4127s | yeah uh but uh with these changes or |
4129s | additions to grunt we do have some |
4131s | smaller general changes to the ground |
4133s | which will help with the immersion |
4136s | of them so uh |
4138s | first of all anytime you kill a ground |
4141s | now they will drop the weapon they are |
4143s | carrying so even if it's a knife a torch |
4147s | whatever it is they will drop it on the |
4149s | floor in the case of the doctor grant it |
4151s | will drop the poison |
4153s | saw or whatever that is on the floor |
4156s | as of now |
4158s | you won't be able to interact with this |
4160s | this would be just a cool little |
4161s | addition uh to the immersion but you |
4163s | know who knows maybe once you will be |
4165s | able to |
4166s | you might not be able to interact with |
4168s | all of these but the dropped items can |
4170s | interact with the rest of the world the |
4172s | main one to note is going to be the |
4175s | torch grunts when they're killed that |
4177s | torch will fall to the ground if it |
4179s | happens to fall in oil or happens to |
4181s | fall too near to a barrel they will |
4184s | automatically explode |
4186s | this isn't something that we saw |
4188s | previously |
4189s | when a torch grant would die that torch |
4190s | would just be put out |
4192s | but now if you kill a torch grunt and |
4194s | you're too close to a barrel |
4196s | you may be getting a small explosion |
4198s | afterwards |
4199s | these torches are going to act similar |
4201s | to like a flare gun so if it's on the |
4204s | ground as a hunter you can run over it |
4207s | and you won't get any burn damage but it |
4209s | will interact with any other kind of |
4211s | fire |
4212s | items around the world just like in this |
4214s | clip you can see it lands on some oil |
4216s | and lights up a yellow barrel next to |
4218s | you |
4219s | yeah and uh |
4220s | yeah as already said the torches are |
4223s | actually the only uh |
4226s | only things that the grounds can drop |
4227s | that can interact with the bird right |
4229s | now and the lanterns so uh the torches |
4232s | are the and lanterns are the two |
4234s | that actually interact with the word the |
4235s | other are just there for now |
4238s | for now but if you guys want to see them |
4240s | as uh usable weapons let us know i think |
4243s | my favorite would be the idea of using |
4245s | the poison bone saw picking that up and |
4248s | running around and and hitting people |
4250s | with that from the doctor grunt |
4252s | yeah that would be kind of good and you |
4254s | also like using poison sun so |
4256s | yeah yeah |
4259s | uh yeah and that's already mentioned |
4261s | like again it is similar to a flare uh |

4307s | either shoot the arm but again if they |
4309s | hit you you obviously |
4310s | get set on fire get the bleeding effect |
4313s | get the poison effect |
4315s | or in the new cases a set of the pistol |
4317s | grunt |
4318s | sound effect |
4319s | or the lantern or the oil so there's so |
4322s | many possibilities now |
4324s | i think like you mentioned one of the |
4325s | best uh uses of the shooting the arms is |
4328s | going to be for those pistol grunts uh |
4330s | if you really want to prevent them from |
4332s | setting off that noise trigger if you |
4334s | shoot their arm early maybe with like a |
4336s | silence in the gaunt you can get around |
4338s | that if you don't think you'll be able |
4339s | to melee them in time |
4341s | often i find myself with no stamina |
4343s | always in the worst situations and |
4346s | that's times when shooting the arms can |
4348s | can come in handy |
4350s | yeah you're very right uh or you know if |
4353s | you need a lantern to burn you down |
4355s | enemy uh someone in chat saying or just |
4358s | shoot them in the head if i could shoot |
4360s | them in the head that reliably maybe i'd |
4362s | be better at hunt |
4364s | but you're actually pretty good |
4366s | come on uh but again okay that should be |
4369s | it for this new variation but i wanted |

4545s | this is actually fixed in this update uh |

4550s | issue was for those that do not know yet |
4552s | yeah of course if you did not happen to |
4554s | see that video or you didn't notice this |
4556s | bug in game uh this was an unintent |
4559s | unintentional bug that happened with |
4561s | some weapons that while you were |
4563s | crouched if you ats with that weapon |
4565s | your hunter would actually kind of uh |
4568s | become more upright and less of a |
4570s | crouched position |
4572s | and you'd be could be more vulnerable in |
4574s | certain situations but the main problem |
4576s | we saw on our end was the inconsistency |
4579s | between different weapons and how your |
4581s | character model would react to those |
4583s | weapons |
4584s | because of this we've been working on |
4587s | fixing this misaligned animation so we |
4589s | could get consistency across the board |
4592s | so that one weapon doesn't uh you know |
4594s | act differently from another weapon and |
4596s | you might be putting yourself in a worse |
4598s | situation just because you're adsing |
4600s | with um the most prolific one was the |
4603s | birthie a compared to other like long |
4605s | animal rifles |
4607s | correct and as you guys can see it on |
4609s | the screen now all weapons inc like |
4612s | everything uh has matching crouch |
4614s | animations so all the animations have |
4617s | been fixed and uh as already mentioned |
4619s | the birthday we can actually show you |
4620s | how it is right now |
4623s | i think we have uh videos for kind of |
4626s | all three classes of weapons rifle uh |
4628s | pistol and shotgun to showcase that uh |
4631s | they should be the same all across the |

4640s | kind of stiff and upright a little bit |
4642s | and they would have looked uh kind of |
4644s | different and been a larger target where |
4647s | now you can see they keep that same |
4648s | crouched arching position so they are |
4651s | not changing positions uh while adsing |

4659s | a rifle and also shotgun just to see you |

4849s | brawler it'll do the same amount of |
4851s | damage as the dusters just to be a |
4852s | little bit more consistent across the |

4857s | brawler variations of the pistol will |
4859s | still require more stamina than the |
4862s | brawler itself so it's not going to be |
4864s | exactly the same there still is a gun |
4866s | attached to that brawler |
4868s | so it is going to take more of your |
4870s | stamina to swing it but at least it will |
4872s | be more consistent with uh what will |
4874s | kill ai what will kill enemy players |

5112s | working as intended and they don't get |
5113s | reset all the time |
5115s | the assignable uh kind of left and right |
