There is some entertainment content (movies, games, etc.) which does not have „great“ reviews / ratings yet I enjoy them and as such I am curious to know how much do we actually care about metacritic (from development and consumer point-of-view)? #questionoftheday

As a developer I have never a specific rating im mind (while I know some companies do) as I try to always deliver the best experience possible. Of course, a good review / rating can cause a positive synergy but I have seen also games with „mixed“ overall rating sell fine

As a consumer I care much more about the sentiment of trustful people (friends, etc.) than reviews/ratings by outlets.
