4s Hi, I'm David Fifield, the general manager for the Hunt franchise.
8s We're back to talk more about the new Hunter recruitment
10s and how we are reclassifying legendary cosmetic skins
13s into a rarity system based on visual complexity, prices and acquisition.
17s We also have details about changes to weapon progression, custom ammo,
21s and some specifics about new rewards being added to the prestige progression.
29s As mentioned
30s in our previous video, we are unifying our Hunter recruitment systems.
33s Part of this change means no longer
35s differentiating between tier two, tier three and Legendary Hunters.
39s They are all now referred to simply as hunters, and have been assigned rarities
43s based on the method of acquiring them and their visual styling.
50s We are now assigning
51s rarity levels and color coding to all cosmetic skins.
54s Cosmetic rarities are defined by degree of the variation from the default item
58s model, theming and exclusivity ranging from common to mythic.
63s Skins available for sale via blood bonds are also being price adjusted
66s according to rarity, with some of the more basic looking skins receiving discounts.
70s Our intention is to help
72s better reflect the actual visual quality and scarcity of all cosmetics.
80s Nineteen Hunters can
81s now be unlocked via bloodline and prestige progression.
84s Ten such Hunters are earned in the bloodline over your first 100
87s ranks, and nine Hunters are reserved for prestige rewards.
91s These Hunters are no longer named randomly, but are defined characters
94s with set identities and backstories.
97s All unlocked Hunters are recruited in the same way, a fixed cost of 100 Hunt dollars
102s each with a randomized set of three traits and no predefined equipment.
106s Once unlocked, all Hunters remain recruitable, all regardless
109s of new prestige progression.
114s In future updates
115s some of these Hunters, which are designated as rookies,
118s will have their own additional progression with Survivor and Veteran versions.
121s These more advanced stages are not yet ready for release with the August launch.
125s Alongside these recruitment changes, we are also updating the graphics
128s of several Hunters
129s with the focus on our new hair and fur shaders in CryEngine 511.
137s Randomly named free Hunters are still available,
140s but with limited contraband equipment and a single trait assigned.
143s They come with a variety of basic weapons and essential equipment.
147s Their limited loadouts can be supplemented or replaced as you see fit through Hunt dollar
151s purchasing or from your collected inventory. Saving your soul in a round
155s The sole survivor now moves your surviving hunter directly to your active roster
159s with a temporary extra Hunter slot added for you if needed.
166s Going forward,
167s custom ammo does not need to be unlocked through weapon experience.
170s It is automatically available with base weapon types as you begin playing.
174s With our new action flyout menu, it is possible to quickly check
175s on unlocked progress for each weapon family with a simple
178s right click and selecting progression from the sidebar.
181s Only weapon variants require
184s unlocking through weapon experience in this new economy.
188s The action flyout menu helps streamline equipping your Hunters, applying
191s your favorite cosmetic skins, and keeping a good overview of your arsenal progress.
199s In addition to the Hunters added to prestige,
201s we are reassigning the rewards players could earn from trials
204s to the prestige track, including both weapon cosmetics and blood bonds.
208s This gives the prestige experience more tangible rewards with a milestone
212s every five ranks.
213s Most notably, the mysterious
215s John Victor from the Hunt tutorial is becoming a playable hunter skin
219s and an additional prestige 100 reward alongside the Centenary Mosin.
224s For players who have already completed the prestige levels,
226s all rewards added to the track are granted retroactively,
229s so there is no reason to wait for the launch to advance your progress.
234s We hope you enjoyed this preview of Hunter recruitment
236s and the short look at new progression goals.
238s We'll be back soon with more game
240s mechanics and balancing changes coming with our August launch.
243s Keep an eye out for more videos and social channel updates.
