With the addition of throwing knives and crossbows, and scoped weapons, Xbox has a real problem.

Aim assist has gone from a minor annoyance that causes you to miss headshots to something that can cause you to take significant damage or even lose a fight.

With throwing knives, the aim assist will ALWAYS pull you toward their chest. Even when you are aiming well away from anything. Trying to adjust for drop and hit a hives head? Nope. You aim for the chest and hit her foot at best, the ground at worst.

Need a headshot with the compact crossbow on that group you've been stalking until they seperate? Tough luck. You hit the upper chest at best, and missed entirely at worst.

You're scoped in on an enemy player who's sprinting the opposite direction? Sure. We'll lock you onto their chest, slow down your following with the reticle, then stop altogether and Increase scope sway once they pass a certain distance.

The problem isn't just the aim assist. It's the way it works, and the inability to turn it off. The aim assist is meant to help stay on target without aiming for you. But, it targets objects like barrels and horses over people. It prioritizes center mass even if you aim at the chest, meaning I have to keep my thumbstick pressed up the entire time, but not go over their head. It'll even pull you back to targets you intentionally look away from.

The fix for this is super easy. Change priority to people over objects, and give me the option to turn it off. That's it. After you get used to the game, it's really not necessary. This is meant to have a hardcore hunt and survival feel, right? So why are we aiming for players, and why are we causing skilled players to miss targets they are attempting to compensate for? Please Crytek, give me the option to turn aim assist off.
