When do you like actually... start improving?

soooooooo i have 26 hours, the game is pretty cool and all but im kinda sad because i dont have anyone to play with, and im pretty bad at the game, sitting at 2 stars.

i first started noticing im not even decent because i made the decision to start using the more expensive gear only after i get better, to not just lose it always, which made me realize this moment isnt coming and my skill is pretty much the same to what it was when i started playing.

i've never gotten more than 1 kill per game, the closest i got was when i killed a guy with a dynamite stick and then i was stuck with another guy on 2 sides of a doorway, and the boss on the verge of being banished right in the doorway, and then when he banished the guy just walked, not ever jumped or anything from behind the doorway, i missed my bow shot even tho he was about 1-2 meters away, and then i died and we lost, which was probably my worst play ever.

idk how to check my k/d but im guessing it would be around 1 kill in 3-4 deaths, furthermore for the last 8 years i've been playing titanfall 2 which might have left me with a habit of playing overly aggresively. so im asking when do i actually start improving, im forced to play with randoms most of the time, so teamwork isnt rly an option
