520s that we have propped up deployments the
525s video that's confusing but so busy it's
528s just recap a little bit a thing like oh
529s so far what we have shown and in the
531s first room was primarily the changes to
534s the player acting mechanics at poison et
535s cetera but also we had a couple of new
537s items new equipment so let's quickly
540s have a look at that stuff so let's see

553s yesterday it it's very strong it's
556s definitely a boss weapon but it also
558s does a lot of damage on my injured yeah
561s and we have the Lebel rifle it's like a
562s new board action rifle 10 rounds
564s capacity long run-on bullets we have a
567s new revolver
568s lomatin mark 2 and that one actually
571s comes with both 9 compact bullets in the
574s drum and the single shotgun shell in the
575s center yep with the X button so then we
579s have a new tool which is the alert reply
581s so this one can be placed you get like a
584s pack of three of them and we have like
589s the little cousin of them it's the
590s constant here to remind there's only one
591s in a pack and that has a mini concertina
593s bomb effect now we have something new
595s here we haven't shown before you might
596s have seen it yesterday in the streams we
598s have an ammo box now so this is a
599s consumable it allows you to both refill
601s the extra ammunition of a weapon but
604s also the includes the special ammunition
605s type so this is now a way for you to
608s like basically always have some
610s ammunition supply with you and you can
612s even refill your crossbow ways you can
613s even fulfill the bomb plans with it and
615s expecially munition like short shot
617s shells and like dat other max ammunition
621s types we have any game this goes along
624s with the change that we've done for the
626s special ammo packs like the prepper ones
628s you can find in the world and those also
629s know please apply and it is a to
631s resupply exactly so both of you and your
633s partner can resupply ones formats and it
635s gives you a little bit more ammunition
636s on your normal box like with the trades
641s like new trades as well so we got three
644s new traits you got the goo we got the
646s adrenaline and we got the vulture yeah
649s so those are all based around basically
652s looting players and what you get from it
656s so with Google you can replenish some
658s health on a successful loot with vulture
660s you can make sure that even if some
662s people have already looted a corpse you
663s can always get another loop so it breaks
665s the rule of two we normally have so you
667s can always get this extra one yeah and
668s with adrenaline which is now something
672s which which we have updated a little bit
673s compared the last test or whatever some
675s issues with it actually allows you that
678s while you're in critical health
679s to instantly start regenerating your
681s stamina so it means you might have that
684s stamina too for between that one more
685s heavy attack or just like fighting off
687s the group of grants and we also didn't
690s change to the way the flash bomb works

695s got flashed and I was like flying for a
697s solid like half year at least yeah so we

839s blue the shotgun in 5.0 as you can see
841s on the bottom it shows you the distance
843s in meters so 5 10 20 and it goes up to
845s 40 meters which is the maximum range for
847s a regular shotguns and it shows the
849s damage multiplier on the left this is
850s like how the damage loses its potency
852s its power as the short travels so in 5.0
857s as you can see it goes to 15 meters at
860s 0.4 and then it kind of like once on a
862s little bit into it eventually it which
864s is zero in in 40 meters distance and in
867s orange this is the changes for 6.0 you
869s can see like the damage drop-off is a
871s little bit more aggressive in the
872s beginning so it like goes down to 0.35
874s and does it or eat like a few meters
876s earlier for right back shotgun and it
878s does one thing however differently it
880s actually keeps the damage a little
882s longer before it drops out towards the
884s end which means it doesn't give you like
886s like only like two three four head
888s points at the very end actually it might
889s give you the extra ten fifteen so you

979s move around the array a little bit more

988s Ellis farm you see a couple of like AAA
991s places being like haystacks being at

994s door and the left side you could kind of

1003s previous blocker areas we had where
1005s wasn't very hard to overcome people

1008s different ways to getting inside like
1009s with a ramp from the last winter you can
1010s go into it into the right side of the
1012s barn then use that roof to kind of cut
1013s over without having to use the ladder
1015s for example yeah and then this is inside
1018s the dead building actually you can see
1020s there's a bit bit more a bit more space
1022s opened up so you can actually have like
1023s fights between the two rooftops like
1025s like busy people on the roof being
1027s attacked as well as just shooting from
1028s inside
1029s from one to the instead of the other
1031s yeah so this is the outside of the
1034s blanchard graves area so what you can
1037s see here is this te d basically the
1039s river sides wall fortification so this
1041s is how it looked before and now this has
1044s been B tree structures you see a nice
1046s staircase you can already see on the
1048s left sides the door that's the door that
1050s leads to the inner area and I will say
1052s that in one of the next ones that this
1054s is actually been changed or used to be
1055s this heavy metal door that metal door is
1058s now in a different place inside that
1059s component this one is actually turned
1061s into I like a regular door so breaking
1063s things up a little bit and just making
1066s that space a bit easier to to like
1068s attack but also a bit more reliable to
1070s defend so there's a different angle from
1072s the same thing here this is how it looks
1074s on life at the moment and this is how
1076s it's on the test server you can see in
1077s the scent that the staircase kind of
1078s moving up down there so just over like
1080s navigation pathfinding it's just a
1082s little bit easier you feel like walking
1084s or does air a bit more natural as a new
1085s player obviously all the veterans know
1087s it's inside out but yeah put yourself in
1089s ahead of when you first approach these
1090s areas and it was always a bit like where

1094s like doorways is a dead-end everything

1099s again from from the water sides this is

1104s the changes so like the whole skyline if
1105s ever has moved a little bit inside there

1117s here is a door now leading to the area
1120s so but it's not the only changes for
1123s graves extra graves received quite a
1125s number of changes and I mean this is the
1127s layout as we know it there's one
1129s significant change in this now we've
1131s kind of separated the inner and the
1132s outer area a little bit more so there is
1135s going to be a harder cut between the
1136s extra family graves on the far right
1138s around L thinking right and the actual
1140s like old direct church like ruin so now
1144s this has been separated a lot more with
1145s a cogniser like walls which means you
1147s don't have like this fights of
1149s potentially like 60 70 80 meters
1151s distance where you just don't know what
1152s a guy is like it kind of segments the
1154s whole area a little bit nicer and just
1156s makes the firefights much more
1157s interesting yeah if it's a little bit
1159s like the Whitechapel
1162s with the friends and then this is
1165s different angle from the same thing so
1166s this is the open exposed localized as
1169s its own life and in here with the
1170s additional like stonewalling electron in
1174s there couldn't separate the whole thing
1176s there it's a bit more chokepoints it
1178s much easier for examples we use like
1179s like some of the new traps we have like
1181s other traps set around exactly
1183s and actually there's one thing you can
1186s also see on the screen so just going
1187s back there for a second if I move
1189s between the two days there's one thing
1190s you can't see at the staircase at the
1193s side of the bridge we've added a little
1195s generator there so so that means there's
1199s gonna be some electricity in this
1201s compound oh I can use that in like it
1203s can do for the other compounds basically
1204s if like lights etc then let's go to a
1208s LAN and fish and Alan and Sons fish
1211s compound I see someone already vests all
1213s the changes are in Ellen so yeah yeah
1215s Ellen Ellen is Jaime I drastically but
1218s for the better it's very nice now so as
1220s you know like you kind of had this outer
1222s ring around the inner area of off of the
1224s fish farm and it was mostly with the
1227s hills kind of separating it and having
1229s like some roads in between it or the
1230s ramp up to the building now this place
1232s has been opened up a little bit more so
1233s so we've kind of like cut down on the
1235s hills and just add more perhaps actually
1237s I took away some of the water so there's
1239s much easier to try so it's easy and just
1246s like move around having fun ice fights
1247s like you can see there's a connection
1248s between the generator building is the
1250s red one in the background and the white
1252s building foreground which before wasn't
1254s really connected to go into the water
1255s and back up there so fights between it
1257s was always a bit awkward yeah so now you
1259s can kind of press the attack here push
1260s around and just overall move around on
1262s the higher level throughout the compound
1264s much easier so this is the same
1267s compounds just a different different
1268s annual amount this time looking east
1270s this is the north side of the building
1272s how it looks at a moment and again here
1275s with the changes you can see like
1277s exactly and you might still encounter
1280s the meteor patrolling in that thing but
1281s it's much clearer now you don't have the
1282s leeches and the water and all of these
1284s things yes it feels it feels easier to
1285s manage and and move around and flank and
1288s do all the things you do
1291s it's really like yes and that's good
1295s then different angle here they look more
1297s from North so again
1299s yeah waters recede a little bit more not
1301s open you can use it to do move around to
1303s your space quite nicely and then this is
1306s from the south side same compound where
1308s again some minor changes I'm going to
1311s toggle between them a little bit so
1312s trees have been repositioned you can see
1314s it's exactly in the back and
1317s specifically it's very hard to see on
1318s this one but if you take a look at at
1320s the red building in a far distance you
1322s see where they used to be a little hill
1323s to the right of it now there's local
1325s wooden fence also that gives you an
1327s option to kind of move across a little
1328s bit better yeah so just places have been
1331s receiving some some small beautification
1333s but also like optimizations when it
1335s comes to passing and tactical options
1336s yeah and this is the northwestern corner
1341s if you approach from any of the corner
1343s spawns usually that's what you see and
1345s here again that first white building has
1346s been rezoned slightly so there's like a
1348s door option or you could have a bit of a
1350s like an angle on the roof so you can use
1352s it better that canopy over yeah
1354s absolutely and just opens again more
1356s options for you and obviously since
1358s there can be a clue in a particular
1359s building as different ways of getting
1360s there and maybe just quickly touching a
1362s component and picking it up and make me
1364s way out again without being necessarily
1365s drawn into a fight then we see lock
1369s docks locked by docks hear me knocks
1371s knocks into Smoking Barrels and what we
1375s see here is the east side of it I think
1380s yeah a bit like the north north
1383s northeast I guess so he's like the big
1386s boss building one yeah on the right side
1387s so here smaller things we can open up
1389s the space a little bit more so you kind
1391s of shoot inside can peek a little bit it
1393s was always very like closed off in
1395s general yes this is how it looked and
1398s this is now what's what's what's
1400s happened to it just like being able to
1401s peek into this comment a little bit yes
1405s then the next thing we're going to talk
1406s about is the player onboarding so this
1409s is something that's that we're still
1410s working on for 6.0
1412s this is mostly interesting for new
1414s players obviously but we want to want to
1416s give new players a bit more better
1419s understanding better easier learning of
1421s what's going on in the game so if
1422s Becky layer this is got a link to the
1424s training modes that we have already
1426s again with a couple of modifications
1427s like the first time you open up a
1429s specific menu or like there's a little
1431s bit about what's going on that menu yeah
1432s just to easier into the game so this is
1434s mostly in preparation just obviously for
1436s new players veterans veterans wouldn't
1438s really be exposed to that but it also
1440s that will be like an option checkbox
1441s that they can come enable or disable so
1444s it is something that's gonna be very
1445s interesting and I'm gonna talk about
1448s that it is a little bit more once once
1450s we have that but it's at the moment so

1521s where they're marked which all can are
1523s especially nice or whether you have
1525s attacks
1525s yeah so like if you kill one you unlock
1529s the first bit of lore and then you can
1530s see on the Left I don't know if you can
1532s see like here you can see next time you
1534s have to kill them five times it unlock
1536s the next one exactly so you kind of
1538s progress through this there's a couple
1539s of challenges linked to its limit to the
1540s challenges we have in the game already
1542s for daily and weekly challenges and that
1544s way you can kind of progress we can
1545s master this like this mastery utmost and
1548s so learn a bit more and it's like a lot
1550s of overlap between the stories like
1551s green eye stuff in there so I think some
1554s people would really really appreciate
1555s just that
1556s I mean if you can see there's a lot of
1558s yeah so all the enemies in there
1564s including obviously our new boss - I'm

1746s assassin the butcher has gotten some
1748s changes yes so let's look at the video

1774s damage done quite fast
1776s and you can see instead of with him now
1777s taking a knee he's coming straight at
1779s you so we wanted to make him a bit more
1782s reactionary than obviously you do a lot
1785s of damage and then he suffers even more
1786s even though so it was like two main
1789s things that we wanted to do with the
1790s butcher was sort of helped the
1792s exploitability of the guy and you've
1794s done a pretty decent job so far and then
1798s the other issue that he had was the fact
1800s that you had many as well yeah and you
1805s would never be able to actually do
1806s anything in his arena because he was
1808s moving basically faster than you could
1810s battle so what we tried to do is slow
1812s him down a little bit but obviously make
1814s him react to the max damage that you
1815s could actually do to him and we think
1817s this is a bit more engaging than it was
1819s nice and burglaries of anyone already
1821s tried it during the best surfer and I
1825s mean a birthday or you guys think I
1826s haven't tried to get on the desk server
1829s when this goes on test this
1831s so we didn't manage to talk about it in
1834s the previous stream right no well we
1836s want to leave the boss really but yes

1959s was like oh my god this looks so those
1961s pictures on the walls it's a yeah right
1964s so then it was more of a case of like
1966s hey how can we bring this into the
1968s current version of one and then we
1969s started developing from there so the
1971s first thing we did we can just down this
1973s one this way okay yeah and in fact yeah
1976s so this one is a good example because
1978s the first thing we want to try out was
1980s hey does the movement work in this first
1983s person game like does it work in hunt so
1985s we took the spider basically stripped a
1988s lot of its logic out and just put the
1990s grunts mesh on it and then we start
1993s using current animations he was like
1994s running got the walls it looked
1995s hilarious and then we started trying out
1997s saying like hey instead of him moving on
1999s his legs let's turn him into a giant
2001s ball on the ground and then move them
2002s around and then whenever he appears
2004s he'll be the grunt again and then that's
2006s how we started out the process then we
2009s went on to seeing how big he should be
2011s so we started yang Delhi so we started
2015s comparing him against the butcher and we
2017s like seems a thing like yes and nice
2019s like a thin guy he was quite tall and
2022s then you know sort of hunches over it
2024s super creepy so it was kind of the case
2027s of hey how big is this guy going to be
2029s in these arenas is he too big or too
2032s small
2032s and then basically went from the same
2034s grunt and then we developed this
2036s basically yeah and then from then on it
2040s was say like hey we don't like the
2042s spiders gameplay on top of this so let's
2044s try and build something fresh so we
2046s still want this sort of like hit and run
2047s style enemy we wanted to use the boss
2049s compound so it was a case of like hey
2052s let's make something sneaky so it was a
2055s good test ground for developing new
2058s bosses but because the old bosses
2059s obviously built quite a long time ago
2061s and we wanted to see what sort of place
2064s they fit in now and how we can build new
2066s bosses and also bring up the other
2067s bosses look to like a good level so then
2071s it was a case of how how complex can we
2073s go with these behaviors so how hard was
2076s this because it's obviously a lot of
2078s particles yeah so it was a nice mix of
2081s animation and what you could see on the
2083s actual character itself and also the
2085s particles that came with the VFX so he
2088s animates into particles and
2090s those are all around his body so it's
2091s sort of like Idol yeah it's making
2093s various kind of things so actually looks
2095s really cool because for this sneaky
2098s behaviour it was like late let's try it
2100s out some dating some lowering let's see
2102s if he can bring the round corners and
2104s waiting like dark-eyed isn't Fox but
2106s because he does all of this himself
2108s dynamically there's no like scripted
2109s events in these compounds and there's so
2110s many compounds that you can use as well
2112s it was all very hidden so a lot of what
2116s happened you just got hit by a guy who
2118s was trying to do all this stuff so it
2121s was more like how can we simplify this
2122s but also keep him sort of like sneaking
2124s creepy what can you do
2125s so that's when we started to speed him
2127s off a bit so he started out is this idea
2129s of hey this is this really creepy slow
2131s guy who hides in dark corners and now it
2133s became really fast and aggressive
2136s basically and then when we were testing
2141s up some more stuff with this sneaky
2142s behavior that's where the clues came so
2144s we had a bug where there was some
2147s particles left behind sometimes so he
2149s would go around these corners and then
2151s there'll be some particles on the floor
2152s and it's like oh what's this thing he
2154s would attack you from behind so totally
2157s intended obviously totally intended so
2159s this was our idea so then we tried to
2162s build actual behaviors based on this and
2164s that's where the clones came in so it's
2166s actually funny because it reminds me of
2167s the bug that we won't the but that was
2170s leaving some particles behind for the
2173s when someone was dead with a dark side
2175s experience so people actually thought
2176s they could see dead bodies and that
2179s there was an intended feature and now

2207s one was about spreading out across an
2209s entire compound you know you have to
2210s kill them to find the bus that ended up
2213s being very cat mouse so it wasn't that
2216s fun it was more annoying than anything
2217s else then we tried to sort of stick them
2219s together so they would you would see
2221s them pop in they would all go to the
2223s same place
2223s but you wouldn't be able to see which
2225s one was rich then you they pop up you
2227s jump into the room and then if you shoot
2229s the right one you get the chance to
2230s apply damage if you don't then you get
2233s attacked by three so that was more
2236s savage like I was nothing negative and
2241s when this three of them coming out you
2242s helped that was a one-hit wipe I think
2244s yeah so then it was more like could we
2247s turn them into a bit less aggressive can
2250s we do something else with the clones and
2251s then this book effect on the screen came
2253s in so I'm not sure how many streamers
2255s sorry yesterday book I think we have
2257s some reactions from yesterday and there
2260s were some that definitely had the effect
2261s 9xs yes so when the clone attacked you
2266s instead of it like taking all of your
2267s health away it'll apply a little bit of
2268s damage but it will cover your face in
2270s bugs so yeah you can't really see much
2272s what's going on and then the assassin
2274s tries to use this opportunity to come
2276s around you and attack you at a different
2277s angle obviously you can still stop him
2279s but it's a lot harder yeah he could you
2280s can't see a little bit but then yes so
2284s with this in mind you saw it they became
2286s less aggressive and then we tried to do
2288s something like new you have like this
2290s this game that you can play like
2292s carnivals where you have like three cups
2293s one has a ball in the middle which one's
2295s the right one then we started doing this
2297s shuffling thing but it still had the
2298s same effect it was quite boring like the
2300s clones didn't really have a place so
2302s then the next step after that was making
2305s them more like decoys so it was sort of
2307s an attack for the bus so instead of them
2310s trying to mirror image yeah exactly 17
2313s they will sort of like backup the bus
2315s the bus sort of panics his frenzy mode
2317s as you saw with butcher and now these
2321s sort of trying to help the bus but if
2323s you deal with them fair enough it's
2325s quite easy to do it but if you mess up
2327s you you know you don't run those shots
2328s and you'll get hit in the face and then
2330s the boss is gonna try and come at you
2331s from different angles
2332s and then that's sort of like where it's
2334s settled so the bus will try and stick
2337s with you you do enough damage to it
2339s quite quickly he'll then panic spawn his
2343s clones there's decoys they'll come at
2344s you and then this sort of engagement is
2347s back and forth so hopefully the assassin
2349s becomes hit and run but more of a
2351s dictator of the fight
2352s bleh yeah yeah I'm very curious how you
2355s guys will play with him with us because
2356s obviously we saw some people yet but not
2358s everyone yes before she yeah so
2363s character I had this predicament for
2366s quite a while as they do we give him the
2367s code would be not because he looks cool

2373s settling on the jacket I think he looks

2446s something really cool for the assassin
2447s we have to make the arenas so look a bit
2449s more spooky like give him an opportunity
2450s to sort of catch up to you yeah and this
2453s is this is what the the vermin artists
2456s and level designers did having needed a
2457s really good job as well and you'll see
2459s that they have a lot of moving insects a
2461s lot of like these husky structures so
2463s it's not yeah not too not too different
2465s from the hive so if you know it's
2468s Blanchett Greaves Church you'll see that
2470s these big high structures it's sort of
2472s in the similar vein like insect themes
2474s you know these husky structures yeah and
2476s it sort of helps sort of I live a bit I

3243s weakness yes he is allergic to poison

3347s gameplay levels and spend a lot of time
3349s and care to actually like craft these

3354s fight the actual showdown with the
3355s players so a roaming boss always kind of
3359s has the risk of maybe dying in the
3361s middle of a swamp or at someplace that
3362s is very very exposed it just makes it
3364s very frustrating because you can't

3367s saying the assassin was a good testing
3369s round to see how complex we could go
3370s with it obviously moving forward you
3372s have a pipeline in place now so be
3375s faster iterations and then we can see
