To further expand own thoughts on it Let's assume you are a dev who has a chance to make revenue from this... For that option to exist you have to be successful already. Therefore that exchange is already working in your favor as a game creator. Mess with that at own peril

@BangBangClick and I'm disagreeing (again with respect) with you in this case. Your initial post somewhat makes this sound like an inevitability, Nintendo tried this and then they closed that program in 2018 after not succeeding. If anything 2020 has proven that games are ultra nomadic.
