[2023] new player question

so since the new patch is coming out. and this is my first time. when i create a character is there any special section i need to create one on. or is it standard creation just so i know for tomorrow. also is there any point in waiting till tomorrow to make a toon since there's no seasons yet

Also if u have any good videos to watch for new players that u know of if u can link me the links that be awesome. so i know what i should aim for at endgame
