I'll get right to it as to not take more of your time than necessary.

  • 1. Start now or at launch in February?
  • 2. Really bummed about Story not being done. Can't find info on whthether they're committed to finsihing it. Will they do it? Any firm window? Source?
  • 3. Which class, or I guess mastery, that does not use minions requires the most amount of APM—for lack of a better term— and strategy? I don't want to walk around with pulsating bursts and auras and just do nothing.
  • 4. Bleed rogues or barbs? Which class is the most brutal in killing. Doesn't necessarily have to be gory; just violent or excessive in style, not just numbers.
  • 5. Does my character speak? Which classes are too cliché? I don't want the typical super zealous paladin or cynical, self-absorbed rogue.
  • 6. Any external tools, mods, etc? E.G. Path of Building, loot filters, etc.
  • 7. What's THE last epoch hub? Here? Discord? The forums?
  • 8. Epoch points, what for?
  • 9. Anything I should keep an eye out in order to have more fun?
  • 10. YOUR personal choice for most class and build, and why.

  1. Go with your gut.

  2. We will for sure finish the main campaign chapters that we have planned. That won't be the end of the story content that comes to LE. We plan to continue to expand the story through constant updates. This doesn't mean more chapters.

  3. Runemaster but each mastery has good non-minion builds, except maybe Necromancer.

  4. Werebear.

  5. You have a moderate amount of voice lines throughout the campaign and then various combat reaction lines. NPCs also frequently speak. It's not 100%. We add more every patch. Sentinel is probably the most cliche of the player classes. I like to think we've given each a personality though.

  6. There are no tools quite on the scale of PoE tools. There are a few individual calculators and build planners. Most people will recommend playing vanilla at first though. You don't need to worry about bricking a character. Lastepochtools.com lastepoch.tunklab.com and maxroll.gg are probably the top 3 sites for tools right now. (updated one and links in the side bar)

  7. I see the most activity of community discussions on the discord. Reddit and the forums are also decently popular. I'm probably a bad person to ask on this one though.

  8. Cosmetics

  9. Cool people who you like playing with.

  10. Falconer (at 1.0). It's my favorite one but that's mostly because it fits my preferred play style perfectly. Also a little biased because it's what I'm working on right now.

They should call you minutemike as fast your responses are. I wrote an essay and a half and you beat me to it dammit!

I get a little carried away on big days like this.

The excitement must be through the roof the closer you get to 1.0! Hell I'm probably way more invested in your game's success than I should be as "only" a player and not even a content creator!

Yup, I'm sure nerves will creep in soon too.

They shouldn’t. This game is f**king wonderful from the start.

I have over 1000 hours in d4 since launch and I think I just found my new favorite AARPG.

Thank you, I'm glad you're having fun :)

I have a question, its off topic i guess , but what model are you going to use for expansions in the future is it going to be free or pay to play ?

Once you buy the game, you have the game and get updates to the game. That's it.
