[2023] Covenant of Dominion ambushes

How do I handle these encounters, I have been able to consistently do most of the other objectives but getting these (2x covenent) is almost always be getting killed, the downtime to attack while trying to kite 4x of attacks which chunk you for huge damage/leave degen ground makes it so hard.

Am I missing some obvious mechanic or something? I have fire resist but these melt me so quick.

What can I do to deal with them?

Edit: Only having issues with the ambush versions, when they spawn normally i have no issues dealing with them, so the ambush ones have special modifiers?
