I'm new to the game, and I'm trying to understand how scaling works for skills used by minions.

As far as I can tell, the player skill Ballista summons a Rogue Ballista, which is a minion that attacks with a different skill called "Ballista Bolt."

This link says that the Rogue Ballista's damage and attack speed are affected by the player's dexterity (4% increased Minion Damage and 1% increased Minion Attack Speed per point of Dexterity). But it also says that Dexterity scales the attack speed of Ballista Bolt (5% increased Attack Speed per point of Dexterity).

How does that work? Does the player's Dexterity scale the attack speed of Ballista Bolt even though the minion uses that skill rather than the player? Does the minion have its own Dexterity stat that scales Ballista Bolt? Thanks!

The ability balista bolt is used by the balista so the balista's dexterity is what affects it.

Your dexterity gives the balista attack speed when it is created.
