hey guys,

so I've just recently started playing the game a bit and i'm leveling a spellblade focused on flame reave. Then i went on theorycrafting mode a bit and started looking at wiki and tunklab "builder" to see for which weapon i should aim and i found...none if i understood mechanics well?

if i get it right on skills like flame reave or judgement from paladin you get nothing from "increased base spell damage" or adaptive spell damage and the increased melee damage seems lacking since you probably will focus on passives/gear on fire damage instead, so the only fitting weapon would be the iron sceptre but being a level 29 item i guess 1 it starts dropping at a certain lv and 2 its affixes will be always lower tier compared to higher lv items?

Am i missing something? or it's just that being in early access the item pool is limited?

Hi, is this is how it works now (2 years later)?

Yes, however, in the next patch, almost all melee and bow weapons are having their damage type changed from added melee/bow physical damage to simply added melee damage or added bow damage so that they are "adaptive" to the ability using them like spell damage on weapons already is. Now, if you have an affix that is added melee lightning damage (or any other element), it still works like above.
