Do not harass any Rioters. This is criticism, not a battlecry.
The Skarner rework looks really good, but Guardian of the Sands is really, really dissapointing now.
The old recall is pretty simple, but it looks good. There aren't 10 things happening in the span of 8 seconds (like with newer skins they release). I think that the recall is weirdly satisfying.
How does it look with the rework?
It's the base recall with f*cking sand.
And why? Because the skin is 975 RP.
The 975 RP price has always been a weird Limbo for skins, on one hand you have skins easily comparable to 1350. On the other hand you have 750 slop.
A recall isn't something to lose your mind over. But with Riots recent f*ck-ups, it feels like they just didn't care.
To compare, here are other skins after the rework that got special treatment:
-Hextech Galio got new Particles (520 RP)
-Enchanted Galio got recolored particles (520 RP)
-Crabgot got new sounds, recolored particles, new Q and R models, and voice filter (520 RP)
-Shadow Evelynn got recolored Particles (520 RP)
-Bilgewater Swain has unique raven models (520 RP)
-Northern Frost Swain has unique raven models and recolored Particles (750 RP)
-Frostblade Irelia got a new recall, along with new particles and sounds (975 RP)
-Battleborn Kayle got recolored particles (975 RP)
-Infernal Mordekaiser has recolored particles, including death realm (520 RP)
-Pentakill Mordekaiser has an altered dance and new particles (975 RP)
-Lord Mordekaiser got robbed and only has some recolored particles (975 RP)
-Spectral Fiddlesticks has recolored particles (520 RP)
-Dark Candy Fiddlesticks has unique particles, sounds and a new recall (975 RP)
-Baker Pantheon kept his recall (975 RP)
There is a big inconsistency with 975 RP skins, and there always has been. Snowday Gnar is a skin that could be considered 1350 with all of his changes, but yet he is 975.
Skarner is the only champ, who had is unique Recall taken away instead of getting a new one.
And if you think they are going to change this, no they are not.
Xayah and Rakan stopped getting new recalls so they are cheaper. People asked for unique recalls, but they haven't changed it.
Naafiris Packmates didn't get a new recall with PROJECT and they haven't changed it.
They added sand to the recall and called it a day. They won't add sh*t.
