[2019] Pulling an all-nighter to cosplay KDA with my league friends for the first time and it was kinda worth it

I was kinda hesitant about making a post because league redditors have probably already seen a thousand and one KDA cosplays this year already, but I recently re-stumbled upon this photoset and felt like it was something to share. The cosplayers you see in this KDA set are actually some of my best friends today that i've made and gotten close to because of league of legends (xd). It's kind of cheesy to say, but league and discord have actually been some of the prime reasons why we're so close. We're all from different states across the US and only see each other once or twice a year at most. Prior to this shoot, we've actually never fully met as a group and heavily relied on league/mobas to keep in touch.

For Katsucon 2019, we wanted league to be our first group cosplay and planned a shoot + dance mv for it. For anyone that doesn't really know much about Katsucon, it's an anime convention that's really known for "the gazebo", which is what you see in our photos. However, it is highly sought after and quite impossible to actually get a shoot without people there unless you plan to visit it at an insane hour. Since we wanted to also film the KDA dance there, we scheduled a photoshoot on Saturday for 6am. We each decided to learn the dance by ourselves + get the cosplay and somehow put it together last minute. Lucy (the Kai sa), ended up arriving Friday night at around 9pm and we all went down to our hotel gym to practice the dance together for the first time till 3am. We spent 3am-6am hot gluing and making the props (tails and weapons) in the hotel room and getting ready. None of us got any sleep but honestly I'm very happy and thankful with the photos (Taken by Charles Lan photography). Hopefully you aren't tired of looking at KDA cosplays yet haha.

TLDR is that I got to cosplay my favorite game with my favorite people that I met because of the game for the first time.
